Residential Trip (age 10)

Now that rainbow was in her final year of primary school it was time for the annual residential trip, which was a weekend away to an activity centre. It had rock climbing canoeing, zip lining and loads more. Rainbow was really excited to be able to have a weekend away that wasn't with her parents.

Windy whistles: and remember, to shower and brush your teeth.

Rainbow: mum I'll be fine, it's just weekend away.

Windy whistles: oh I know it's just, you've never been away without me and your father before.

Rainbow: I know but it's the annual school residential trip.

*at the trip*

Principal Celestia: ok kids please make sure you stay in your groups the whole time that we're hear. Ok group number 1 you'll be doing rock climbing first and group 2 you'll be doing canoeing.

Rainbow and her friends were in group 1 so that meant they got to do the rock climbing first.

Fluttershy: *panicking* are you sure that this is safe?

Rarity: of course it's safe darling.

Rainbow: fluttershy would you like me to go first?

Fluttershy: *sighs in relief* please dashie.

Rainbow started climbing up the climbing rock she was doing really well but then her foot slipped and she fell. She kept falling down the wall and her shin slammed against each of the problems (the pegs on the climbing wall.)

Rainbow: *lands and the floor and collapses* owww!

Sunset: *worridly* Rainbow! Are you ok?!

Rainbow: *tearing up slightly* n-no I've really hurt my leg.

Twilight: we should take her to principal celestia.

Principal celestia took rainbow to the on-site hospital where the doctor confirmed that even though her leg wasn't broken, it was fractured which meant she couldn't do any of the physical activities.

*day 2*

Rainbow was playing an animal based board game with fluttershy and she was so bored. Not that she didn't love spending time with fluttershy but she was someone who loved playing physical games, and now she couldn't because of her leg.

Fluttershy: it's your turn rainbow.

Rainbow: *zoning out*

Fluttershy: *clicks her fingers in rainbows face* earth to rainbow?

Rainbow: *coming back around* huh? Oh sorry flutter I just...

Fluttershy: wish you could be doing the water activities with the others?

Rainbow: *sighs* yeah. Do you not like doing that kind of thing?

Fluttershy: not really but I'm just happy to be spending time with my friends.

Rainbow: yeah me too.

The end of the residential trip came around quickly and rainbows leg had heeled within a week. Even though she didn't get to do all of the physical activities at the residential trip, she got to spend time with her friends and more importantly and time away from her parents.
