The girls were all going to the game centre for a game of paintball a game which they were excited about, but it could be very aggressive. They we're playing against the Crystal Prep Academy Shadow Bolts, a group of 5 girls who were fiercely competitive. Twilight was from the school originally and had transferred to CHS. The rainbooms were a group of 7 and the shadowbolts were a group of 5. However because fluttershy and rarity were not really into the idea of such a violent game, they'd decided to sit out in order to make the teams fair.

Aj: oh look their here!

The girls turned to the door and saw their competition stood there, 5 girls who were not to be messed with when it came to competition. The group consisted of: Sour Sweet, a girl with pink hair with a green streak tied in a pony tail. She was known for being really sweet one minute and then really mean and sour the next, hence the name. Then there was sugarcoat a girls with silver hair put up into 3 pigtails and was wearing glasses. She was known for being extremely abrupt and blunt with her opinions, her motto was "if the truth hurts. Good." Sunny flare was a girl with purple hair cut into a pixie cut. She was known for being very clever and was able to figure people out very easily. Then lemon zest had long lime green hair,  she was arguably the nicest out of the 5, she wasn't all that aggressive, but was very loud and obnoxious. Always wearing her pink headphones that often had really loud and annoying rock music blasting into them. And finally indigo zap who had blue hair with lighter blues streaks running through it and always wore a pair of pilot goggles on her head, which she'd inherited from her father. She was the school's captain and was very serious about competition and strode to win more than anyone else, probably because she had 5 older siblings all of which had been, extremely successful in the schools sports teams.

Indigo: *smiling mockingly at rainbow* rainbow dash.

Rainbow: *not amused* indigo zap.

Indigo: ready to loose to me again dashie?

Rainbow: *scoffs* yeah. right.

The atmosphere was tense as the the 2 school captains stared at each other, they'd never had personal problems with each other until last summer when the school teams had played a game of football. The only reason CPA had won was because indigo had *accidentally* swiped of foot under rainbows so she'd trip and miss the goal. They continued to stare each other down when finally sunset got their attention.

Sunset: you two do realise that you're not at school now?

Rainbow: of course we know that.

Lemon zest: so when are you going to get over it?

Rainbow: *points an accusing finger at indigo zap* when SHE apologises for making us loose!

Indigo: get over it rainbow we won.

Rainbow: *getting angry* yeah! Because you made me trip!

Indigo: well you're forever boasting!

Sugarcoat: you both need to get over it so we can play paintball.

Everyone except rainbow and indigo nodded and the two captains put aside their issues so they could start playing.

*the paintball game*

Fluttershy and rarity were sat on the sides having a chat they'd been sat their for an hour, and so far no one had come back. Finally they heard voices coming towards them, it was everyone from both teams. Well everyone expect for rainbow and indigo who were yet to be shot with paint.

Rarity: how did it go?

Sour Sweet: *nicely* fantastic! *in a aggressive tone* if you like being shot!

Twilight: I can't believe we might lose!

Pinkie: *trying to comfort her* we haven't lost yet twi!

Lemon zest: you may as well give up pinkie, indigo does not like losing, and will do anything to win including cheating.

Aj: *confused* isn't she meant to be your best friend?

Lemon zest: doesn't mean I think she's always right.

*still in the game*

Rainbow and indigo were both now covered in paint but because they'd fired at the same time, they didn't know who was hit first and so were continuing to shoot at each other.

Rainbow: *shooting the paint constantly* why can't you just admit I've won?!

Indigo: *bewildered by rainbows words* and let you have the satisfaction of beating me? Not likely rainbow crash!

That touched a nerve "rainbow crash" was the nickname which rainbow had been given at school by Gilda Griffin and her crew. Rainbow was now more determined to win the paint ball match, the girls we're wearing helmets. However Rainbow didn't realise that indigo had removed her helmet to wipe her face of sweat, by the time she noticed it was too late. She's fired her paintball gun straight at indigo and it hit her hard on the cheek and knocked her to the ground. Rainbow ran over in a panic.

Rainbow: *feeling guilty* oh shit! Indigo are you alright?!

Indigo: *sits up slowly* I-I'm f-fine.

Rainbow: *helps her up* come on let's go back to the others.

Indigo touched her cheek and she could feel that a bruise was forming, she felt slightly dizzy but other wise was ok. Rainbow put her arm around her shoulder and they made there way back their friends.

*back with the girls*

The girls were now drinking their cold drinks as well as applying ice to the small bruises they had received during the game. They we're starting to become concerned as rainbow and indigo had still not returned.

Fluttershy: do you think we should go and look for them?

Sunny flare: I'm sure their alright.

Pinkie: *panicking* what if they've killed each other?!

Twilight: I'm sure that hasn't happened pinkie.

Just then they saw rainbow walk through the door with her arm around indigo, the blue haired girl hardly conscious.

Twilight: *worriedly* or maybe it has.

Sunset: *rushing over to the girls* what happened?!

Rainbow: *releases indigo from her grip and sits her down* indigo removed her helmet for a moment and I accidentally fired my gun.

Sugarcoat: *not really believing rainbow* was it an accident?

Rainbow: *offended at the obvious accusation* yes of course it was! I would never hurt her on purpose.

Sugarcoat: just asking, considering what happened at the school football game last summer.

Rainbow: I'm over that.

Indigo: *dizzily* really?

Rainbow made her way over to indigo who was still slightly out of it, but was looking much better as twilight had given her ice for the nasty bruise on her cheek.

Rainbow: *smiling* yes really.

Indigo: thanks dash. And I'm sorry I called you "rainbow crash"

Rainbow: *waving her hand* it's fine don't worry about that.

Lemon zest: right now you've buried the hatchet can we all get along now.

Rainbow: I think so. Indy?

Everyone stared in shock "Indy" was the nickname that indigo zap only accepted from those who she really liked, rainbow has never called her that. Not many people did.

Indigo: *smirks* yes I think so too.

She shook rainbows hand and the girls decided that the paint ball game had been a draw, they all headed out of the games centre now as friends rather than enemies.

Indigo: ooh rainbow one more thing!

Rainbow: yeah?

Indigo: last year's football match when I made you trip, it wasn't an accident.

Rainbow: *laughs* yeah I know.

Indigo: *rubs the the back of her head* anyway I'm sorry.

Rainbow: *puts her Hand on her shoulder* don't worry about it.

Indigo: *cheering up* we'll still win the next game!

Rainbow: *smiling* we'll see.

A/N: hope you enjoy this chapter. I thought I'd give rainbow a break from the injuries and I've been looking for an excuse to include the shadow 5 in the book.
