Today the girls were to going to go snowboarding they had there breakfast and as usual rainbow was eager to get going.

Rainbow: *shakes applejack* come on we need to get to the ski lift.

Aj: *looks at bow and Windy* is she always like this?

Bow hothoof and windy whistles: yep.

Rainbow: hey! I am not!

Aj: *chuckles and kisses rainbows cheek* ok whatever you say. Right let's get going.

Rainbow: we'll see you guys later.

Bow hothoof: bye girls.

Windy whistles: be careful.

*at the mountain*

The girls snowboarding down the mountain and rainbow had learnt to not try and show off, and try to look where she was going. They continued to snowboard for a another hour and then they decided to head back to the lift.

*on the ski lift*

Rainbow: well snowboarding was a lot of fun at least I didn't fall on my face this time.

Aj: yes babe well done. I just can't wait for us to be able to to chill out for the night.

Rainbow: me neither.

Suddenly the lift seemed to stop leaving the girls cart hanging in the air.

Rainbow: how come we've stopped?

Aj: I'm not sure. Maybe the lift has broken down.

Rainbow: I hope we get down soon it's cold up here.

*half and hour later*

It had been half an hour and the lift still hadn't moved, the girls were really high up and it was very cold. Rainbow was starting to feel the cold as she snuggled up to applejack to try and get warm.

Rainbow: *sniffles and groans* ugh.

Aj: *concerned* are you ok babe?

Rainbow: *sneezes and coughs* my head hurts.

Aj: *feels rainbows forehead* you feel hot.

Rainbow: *smirking* well I already know I'm hot aj.

Aj: *smiling* I mean hot as in feverish, we've been up here for ages you must be catching a cold.

Rainbow: *sniffles* how come you're not sick?

Aj: I work a lot outside must of build up a stronger immune system.

The girls waited for another half an hour before the lift finally started working again. By the time they'd gotten back to safety rainbow was feeling even worse, her nose was running her throat was sore and her whole body ached.

Windy whistles: *sees the girls and hugs them* oh girls we were so worried!

Bow hothoof: are you both ok?

Aj: I'm ok rainbow seems to have caught a cold though.

Windy whistles: *feels rainbows forehead* baby you feel really hot come on I think inside and get warm.

*back in the lodge*

Rainbow had, had a bath and was given some hot chocolate and some medicine. She was laid on the bed with applejack cuddled up to her with her head on her chest.

Aj: *rubs rainbows arm* how are you feeling baby?

Rainbow: *sniffles* sick and tired.

Aj: *pulls the blanket up and kisses rainbows forehead* why don't you go to sleep.

Rainbow: yeah ok night aj.

Aj: night sugar.

The next day they we're going home and rainbow felt a little bit better, but her parents still decided to keep her off school for a few days, whilst the fever broke. Snowboarding had been fun but getting stuck sure as heck wasn't.
