Today rainbow and her parents we're going on a tropical holiday and rainbow was very excited but it was the first time that she was going on a plane and she was very excited about it. She couldn't wait to play in the pool and go down the slide.

Rainbow: *excitedly* when are we going mummy?!

Windy whistles: *chuckles* in the morning dashie, but you need to go sleep because we're going to be getting up really early to go the airport.

Rainbow: what's an airport?

Windy whistles: an airport is where all the planes that take people on holiday live. Now I think it's time for sleep.

Rainbow: *yawning* ok night mummy.

Windy whistles: night night baby.

*5 o'clock the next morning*

Getting rainbow up proved to be a difficult task as it was really early and she was tired. But once she'd been given something to eat she was a little less grumpy and her parents allowed her to stay in her pyjamas for a little while at least.

*at the airport*

The family had been to check their bags in and were now going through security, this scared rainbow has she didn't like all the beeping as well as the big scary security men.

Rainbow: *makes grabby hands asking to be picked up and whimpers* d-daddy.

Bow hothoof: *bends down and picks her up* shhh sweetie it's ok, once we get through this bit then we can get something to eat. How does McDonald's sound?

Rainbow seemed to like the idea of getting a McDonald's and soon cheered up which meant they were able to get through security with little to no hassle.

*two hours later*

They had been at the airport for about 4 hours now because they wanted to make sure they had plenty of time to get everything organised and with looking after a toddler as well that could be difficult. But finally it was time to board the plane, they got to their seats with rainbow in the middle and her parents either side of her. Rainbow was starting to become anxious and nervous with all the safety talk when the planes engine was starting to Rev, she wanted to sit on windy's knee but couldn't because the seatbelt signs were still on.

Rainbow: *crying* mummy want to sit on your knee.

Windy whistles: *strokes rainbows hair as that's all can do right now* shhh you can as soon as the seat belt signs go off.

Finally the sign went off and rainbow immediately climbed onto windy's lap and cuddled into her chest and gently rocked her until she fell asleep.

Rainbow: *wakes up and tiredly rubs her eyes* W-where are we mummy?

Windy: *rubs rainbows back* were in Spain sweetie, are you ready for our holiday?

Rainbow: *getting excited* yeah! When can we go swimming mummy?!

Windy: *chuckles* tomorrow baby, right now we need to go and get unpacked, get something to eat and then it's time to have a sleep.

The family went up to their room and after unpacking the suitcases and grabbing a bite a to eat, they headed to bed to get some sleep ready to start their holiday the next day.
