Rainbow and her parents were going to the store to pick up some things. However rainbow wasn't in the best of moods because her parents had promised to take her swimming and they seemed to have forgotten.

Bow hothoof: so honey what is it we need to get?

Windy whistles:
Nappies
Baby food
Broccoli
Milk
Pasta
Bread. That's about it.

Bow hothoof: ok then shouldn't be too hard.

Windy whistles: I agree. You sure your parents are ok with watching scoot?

Bow hothoof: yeah their fine with it. Now come on let's get the shopping.

As they we're walking around the shop rainbow saw a toy that she really wanted.

Rainbow: mummy can I get that? *points at toy*

Windy whistles: not today dashie, maybe another time.

Rainbow: *whining* but why?

Windy whistles: now sweetie don't get upset. You can always get it another day.

Rainbow: but I don't want it NOW!

Rainbow then started to do something that shocked her parents. She started to cry, stomp her feet, throw herself onto the ground basically have a full on tantrum. Windy quickly picked her up and took her to the car, luckily they were done with shopping anyway. When they got to the car rainbows tantrum had stopped but now her parents were mad at her.

Windy whistles: when we get home you are having half an hour in time out young lady. Is that clear?

Rainbow: b-but.

Windy whistles: I said is that clear?!

Rainbow: *whimpers and nods*

Rainbow spent the rest of the journey home silently crying, hiccuping and choking on her breath. She had never seen her mum like this before. Soon they arrived home and windy took her to the naughty corner for time out.

Windy whistles: *sternly* right half an hour, face the wall when it's over we're going to have a little chat.

Rainbow did as she was told and spent the whole hour crying. Soon the time was up and windy came over to her. She kneeled next to her and spoke with a much more calm and gentle voice.

Windy whistles: dashie come on time out is over now.

Rainbow jumped into her arms and started to sob again.

Windy whistles: shh it's ok I think we need to go and a chat.

Windy took rainbow into her room and gently started rocking her to try and calm her down. After a few minutes it worked.

Windy whistles: sweetie what's the matter, what did you behave like that today?

Rainbow: *hiccuping* y-you a-and d-daddy p-pwomised (remember shes 3) y-you W-would t-take m-me s-swimming a-and y-you f-forgot!

Windy whistles: oh sweetie I'm so sorry. How about we go tomorrow instead?

Rainbow: *calmer* o-ok.

Windy whistles: good, but right now I think someone could do with a nap.

She put rainbow to bed and the next she and bow took her swimming, just like they had promised.
