A/N: in this story rainbow is out as being gay but is not dating applejack, that will come later on. Warning: this story is a topic that some people might find upsetting.

Rainbow had not long come out as gay and she had met a girl named Raven, who was a couple of years older than rainbow. When they first met Raven was very sweet and gentle towards rainbow, and had promised to look after her. That soon changed.

Raven: *demandingly* where have you been?

Rainbow: *nervously* just out jogging.

Raven: *not quite believing it* hmm mmm. Anyway get undressed out of those horrible clothes, which you know I told you not to wear. And then get dinner made.

Rainbow: *sigh* fine.

The truth was rainbow had been hanging out with her friends, but she couldn't tell Raven this. You see rainbow still had a crush on applejack and vice versa, but they had decided not to date for the time being. They we're still really good friends though and hung out all of the time. This bothered Raven to the max as she knew that two of them liked each other. It also didn't help matters that rainbow was still in school as was applejack, so Raven couldn't keep an eye on them.

Rainbow: *calls from the kitchen* Raven dinner is ready!

Raven: it better not be disgusting like the last time you TRIED to cook!

They sat down and started eating their dinner when Raven realised that rainbow seemed to be eating hers quite quickly.

Raven: *thinking she's being funny* you know you've put a lot of weight on recently, maybe you should slow down with all the eating.

Rainbow: but I'm hungry and I want to eat.

Raven: *nastily* well I don't want a fat whale for a girlfriend! So i suggest less eating and more exercising ok?!

Rainbow: *mutter* ok.

Raven: good girl.

As soon as dinner was over rainbow went for another run, she'd been doing that a lot since she met Raven.

*the next day*

Rainbow was getting ready to for school and once again Raven had to make a comment about her appearance.

Raven: *sneeringly chuckles* you know your hair colour makes you look gay right?

Rainbow: *confused* uh I am gay.

Raven: *slaps rainbow across the face and then grabs her by the hair* DON'T TALK TO ME LIKE THAT!

Rainbow: *whimpering slightly* OW! OK OK, I'm sorry please let go of me.

Raven: *let's rainbow go* good. Now when you go to school these are the rules: you text me at the beginning of every lesson and at the end, at lunch time and home time, when you leave and when you get there. Don't eat the food from the canteen, eat the food I packed for you. And stay away from those friends of yours. Especially the cowgirl.

Rainbow: you mean applejack?

Raven: *grabs rainbow by the shirt* I DON'T GIVE A SHIT WHAT HER NAME IS, JUST KEEP THE HELL AWAY FROM HER! UNDERSTAND?!

Rainbow: *sadly* yes I understand.

Raven: good.

Rainbow went to school and did as Raven had told her too. She hardly had anything for lunch because all Raven packed was fruit sticks, rainbow couldn't just get something else from the canteen as Raven would demand to smell her breath when she got home. She'd done it before and things got very ugly very quickly. She also tried her best to avoid her friends which wasn't easy because they had a lot, of lessons together.

*weeks later*

Ravens control and abuse towards rainbow was getting really bad now, she checked rainbows phone all the time to see who was she texting and calling. She constantly checked rainbows bank balance and watched her eat, to make sure she wasn't eating too much. She'd even started to become physically violent towards rainbow, by punching her in the ribs and kicking her shin so hard it needed stitches. This was covered by telling the doctor that rainbow fell off her skateboard. Every time Raven abused rainbow in any way, it was always met with "sorry you know i didn't mean it" or "you know that I love you"

*at school*

Aj: hey dash can I talk to you?

Rainbow: *scared* uh not now aj!

She ran off as it was Home time and Raven had given her a time that she wanted her home for. Applejack was really confused and concerned, her and rainbow had always been close. They we're the first person that the other one came out too, and they'd always had a good bond. Over the last few weeks applejack had seen behavioural differences in rainbow that, just didn't add up. Rainbow tensed up every time her phone buzzed or whenever she was near her friends, like she felt like she was being watched or something. What rainbow didn't realise was, she was being watched.

*at home*

When rainbow arrived home she was met by a very angry looking Raven standing at the door.

Raven: where have you been?

Rainbow: *confused* at school?

Raven: *breathing heavily* uh uh and who have you been with?

Rainbow: *becoming scared* n-no o-one?

Raven: *throws a glass aggressively at rainbow which just missed* LIAR!

Rainbow: *whimpering* I-I'm not lying!

Raven: *seething* OH YEAH?! LOOK!

She showed rainbow some footage on the laptop of her walking around at school, in class, at lunch and talking to applejack.

Rainbow: *hurt* you've been spying on me?!

Raven: yes and good thing too! Now here is what's going to happen: you're going to tell this farm girl that she's ruining your life and you don't want be friends with anymore. And then you and I are moving away. Do you understand?

Rainbow: *mumbles* yes.

Raven: *gets in rainbows face* again so I can here you.

Rainbow: yes.

Raven: good. Bow off you go.

Rainbow turned to leave to go and give the news to applejack, when suddenly she decided she wasn't going to controlled or bullied by anyone any more.

Rainbow: *confidently* do you know what? no!

Raven: what do you mean "no"

Rainbow: I'm not telling applejack we can no longer be friends. We've been friends forever and she has always been there for me. *jabs Raven in the chest* The only person ruining my life is YOU!

*Warning violent scene*

Raven didn't like this and punched rainbow so hard in the stomach that she doubled over in pain. Rainbow was coughing when Raven came and pushed her over and and then continue to kick her.

Raven: *nastily* HOW DARE YOU TALK TO ME LIKE THAT! I'M THE REASON YOUR'E NOT SINGLE!

Rainbow: *groaning in pain* I'd rather be single than date a bully like you!

Raven: *grabs rainbow by the hair and yanks her up* DO YOU KNOW WHAT?! GO THEN! I DON'T WANT TO SEE YOUR UGLY FACE EVER AGAIN!

She threw rainbow out of the house and rainbow smacked her face on the path as the landed. Now cold, hurt and frightened rainbow made her way to sweet apple acres.

*at sweet Apple acres*

Applejack was writing in her diary when she heard banging on the door.

Aj: who could it be at this time of night? *door continues to bang* hold on I'm coming!

When applejack opened the door she was very shocked and worried by what she saw. Rainbow was standing there covered in blood and tears and holding her stomach.

Aj: *almost crying* rainbow?

Rainbow didn't answer she just collapsed into applejacks arms and started sobbing. All applejack could do was hold her friend, and comfort her the best she could.

Aj: *stroking rainbows hair and rubbing her back* shh it's ok rainbow I've got you shhh. Come on let's go inside where it's warm.

She took rainbow inside and the sat on the sofa. She rocked rainbow in her arms for a few moments and then once rainbow was calm enough she was able to explain what had happened.

Aj: *shocked* Raven did all this?!

Rainbow: *hiccuping and nods* s-she's b-been d-doing i-It f-for m-months.

Aj: * hugs rainbow* is this why you're always on edge and why you stopped hanging out with us?

Rainbow: *sniffles* yeah she knows that you and I like each other and she felt threatened by that. *sighs* that's my fault though.

Aj: *lifts rainbows chin to look her in the eyes* rainbow don't you dare blame your self for this! She's a controlling bully and the only person to blame in all of this, is her.

Rainbow: *sighs* you're right, but what do I do now?

Aj: we're going to report this to the police.

Rainbow: we?

Aj: I'm not letting you do this alone.

Rainbow: ok. Thanks applejack.

The girls reported Raven and she was arrested for abuse and coercive control.

*a month later*

Raven was charged with her abuse towards rainbow and sent to prison for 5 years. Rainbow couldn't be happier she was finally free from that torture, and she and applejack finally became an official couple.
