Sea World (age 7)

A/N: I don't condone sea world, but at the time that I went I didn't know any better.

Bow hothoof: come on girls! We're going to sea world today!

Scootaloo: what's sea world daddy?

Bow hothoof: it's a place where fish and other sea life live sweetie, we'll be able to see dolphins, penguins and orcas.

Scootaloo: what's an orca?

Bow hothoof: it's a giant dolphin, also known as the killer whale.

Scootaloo: *panicking* will it kill us?!

Bow hothoof: *chuckles* no baby it's called killer whale because of the way that it hunts for food.

Rainbow: will we be able to touch them daddy?

Bow hothoof: no sweetheart, but they do have sting rays you'll be able to touch, just don't touch the tails.

Windy whistles: shall we be off then?

Bow hothoof: yeah let's go.

*at sea world*

Windy whistles: do you girls want to go see a killer whale show?

Rainbow: *excitedly* I do!

Scootaloo: me too!

Bow hothoof: me 3!

Windy whistles: *chuckles* ok come let's go.

They went to the killer whale arena and took their seats, they sat in the splash zone and the show started. They'd been watching the orcas perform doing all sorts of tricks, suddenly one of them raised its fluke (tail fin) slapped it against the water, which soaked everyone in the splash zone including rainbow and her family.

Windy whistles: oh my were soaked!

Bow hothoof: well honey that's what happens when you sit in the plush zone. Anyway shows over do you want to go and look at the dolphins?

Rainbow and scootaloo: yes!

They went to the dolphin tank and they could get a little closer to them than they could to orcas. They watched and listened, as a trainer was telling them about the dolphins and playing with them, as the dolphins did tricks. Rainbow tried to touch one of them she didn't succeed, but she did get sprayed in the mouth by one them.

Rainbow: ugh it splashed me!

Windy whistles: *chuckles* just remember to keep your mouth closed dashie.

Rainbow: can we go to the sting rays now?

Windy whistles: yes come on.

They went over to the smaller aquarium where the sting rays were in tanks. They weren't fully grown yet and that's why children could touch them.

Bow hothoof: remember girls don't touch it's tail.

Rainbow: we won't daddy!

Rainbow touched the sting rays back and she quite liked the feel of it. It felt really smooth and cool to the touch.

Windy whistles: do you want to touch it scoot?

Scootaloo: is it slimy mummy?

Windy whistles: no baby it feels really smooth and soft, give it a try.

Scootaloo touched the sting ray and she enjoyed the feel of its skin against her hand, and she remembered not to touch its tail.

Bow hothoof: I think we'll finish looking around and then head back to the hotel.

They finished walking around sea world and then they went back to the hotel and had some dinner. Once they'd eaten they went for a quick swim in the pool, and then went to bed before there next day out.

A/N: fun fact! The killer whale is actually a species of dolphin! It's the largest of the dolphin species!
