Rainbow was going to be taking part in a running race against Gilda, who did not like the idea of losing against rainbow. Gilda was with lightning dust and vapour trail discussing how they could make sure rainbow lost the race.

Vapour trail: you could always just trip her up.

Gilda: no she'd get up to easily.

Lightning dust: I've got something you could use.

She gave Gilda a small package and all 3 of them stood and laughed evilly.

*on the running track*

Pinkie: *excitedly* ooh dashie you're totally going to beat Gilda in the race!

Rainbow: *nervously* heh I hope so.

Aj: you'll be fine rainbow.

The girls then saw Gilda and her gang make their way to the field and over to the track.

Gilda: *in rainbows face* ready to lose crash?

Rainbow: *with determined in her voice* you wish.

They both stood at the starting line and waited for twilight to blow the whistle.

*whistle blows*

Twilight blew the whistle and they both started to run down the track they were pretty much neck and neck, gilda had a plan but she needed to get just ahead of rainbow for it too work. She got just ahead of rainbow and she took out the package the lightning had given her. It was a packet of salt Gilda grabbed a hand full of the salt and threw backwards towards rainbow. The wind caused the salt to blow into rainbows face and it hit her straight in the eye, gilda smirked and continued the race as rainbow stoped and started crying.

Rainbow: *screaming* AHH!

Fluttershy: *concerned* girls there's something wrong with rainbow!

The girls rushed over to rainbow who had sat down and was crying in her hands.

Sunset: *sitting next to rainbow* rainbow! What's wrong?!

Rarity: *sees the salt on the floor* girls look

They all saw the salt and couldn't believe that gilda would do that, actually they could believe it.

Sunset: *rubs rainbows back* rainbow I need you to move your hands.

Rainbow: *hiccuping* o-ok.

She removed her hands so the girls could see her eyes, they all gasped at how red and sore it looked.

Sunset: come on we need to go to the nurse.

*at the nurses office*

They took rainbow to see the nurse and told her what had happened, the nurse reported gilda to Principal Celestia and then applied some drops to rainbows eye.

Nurse red heart: there you go sweetie, try not rub it though ok?

Rainbow: *sniffles* thank you nurse red heart.

Gilda was suspended from school for a week and rainbow was given the win for the race.
