Rainbow had been getting comments from people
online saying that she looked like she was putting on weight. She'd posted a picture of her and applejack and someone had commented "the chubby rainbow." Since this rainbow had really struggled with her appearance and she was, relentlessly exercising. As well as this she'd cut her meals short and whenever she did eat anything she'd go in the bathroom and throw it up.

Windy whistles:  where's rainbow?

Bow hothoof: she's in the garage with her gym equipment.

Windy whistles: what again? She's doing that a lot.

Bow hothoof: she is doing it an awful lot.

Windy whistles: well it's time for dinner so I'm going to go and get her.

*in the garage*

Rainbow was running and sweating on the treadmill when windy went in to fetch her for dinner.

Windy whistles: rainbow it's dinner time.

Rainbow: *still running* can it wait mum? I just want to keep going for a little while.

Windy whistles: *walks over the machine and switches it off* no rainbow you've been on that thing all day, it's nearly 7:00 and you need something to eat.

Rainbow stepped off the treadmill and walked with windy out of the garage, as they were walking to the door rainbow stumbled and collapsed onto windy's shoulder.

Windy whistles: *catches rainbow and holds her up* are you ok baby?!

Rainbow: *panting* yeah I'm just a little tired.

Windy whistles: *rubs rainbows back* let's just go inside and get something to eat and then you need to have a rest.

Rainbow: but I need to finish exercising!

Windy whistles: you do that tomorrow.

*in the house*

The family sat and ate their dinner, well rainbow only ate when her parents were looking at her, otherwise she would be put the food into a tissue on her lap.

Rainbow: I'm done mum is it ok if I go upstairs?

Windy whistles: yes sweetie go and get some rest ok?

Rainbow: ok night.

Bow hothoof: night kiddo.

Rainbow went upstairs and into the bathroom she stood over the toilet and chucked away the food she'd kept hold of. She then proceeded to make herself be sick emptying her stomach of any contents. When she'd finished throwing up she raised her head and look at her face in the mirror, it was pale and drawn but all she could see was round face which needed to go.

Rainbow: *touches her cheek and stomach* I don't eat and excessively exercise and I still look like a a pumpkin.

She continued to stare in the mirror and started to cry, eventually she decided she was going to leave and started to make her way out. However as she did she began to feel really light headed and stumbled, she gripped hold of the sink to try and steady herself. It was no good though her eyes rolled back and she collapsed onto the bathroom floor.

*downstairs*

Scootaloo: I'm just going to upstairs and get my Nintendo switch.

Windy whistles: ok sweetie can you check on your sister whilst you're up there?

Scootaloo: yeah sure mum.

*upstairs*

Scootaloo was making her way to rainbows bedroom when she noticed that the bathroom door was still closed. She knocked on the door but there was no answer.

Scootaloo: *from outside the bathroom* dash are you still in here?

*no response*

Scootaloo: can I come in?

There still wasn't an answer so Scootaloo decided to just walk in. When she saw rainbow lying unconscious on the cold floor she, immediately knelt down beside her and shook her to try and wake her up.

Scootaloo: *panicking* rainbow wake up come on wake up *shouts in desperation* MUM DAD COME HERE NOW!

Bow and Windy heard Scootaloo shout and both shot upstairs. When windy saw what was happening she rushed to rainbows side and stroked her hair, as bow called for an ambulance.

*at the hospital*

The ambulance had bought rainbow to the hospital and she was now in a bed with an oxygen mask, she was hooked up to a heart monitor and she had a drip in her arm. Windy had called applejack and she was now in the room with rainbows family.

Aj: *strokes rainbows forehead* what have you been done you silly girl?

The doctor then came back and asked if there had been anything different about rainbows eating habits or her behaviour.

Bow hothoof: she has been exercising an awful lot.

Windy whistles: *nods in agreement* yes and she's been very reluctant to eat anything.

Doctor Johnson: I'm going to keep rainbow in for another day, just so we can keep an eye on her and so she can get the nutrients she needs. But it might be best for her speak to someone.

Windy whistles: ok thank you doctor.

*2 hours later*

Bow and Scootaloo had gone home and left windy and applejack sat by rainbow side. Rainbow was still unconscious and applejack was holding her and lightly running her fingers in a circle on the palm.

Windy whistles: *smiles* you're perfect for each other do you know that? Rainbows at her happiest when she's with you.

Aj: *whispers* I love her more than anything else *starts to cry* and I-I don't want to lose her.

Windy whistles: *rubs ajs back* hey you won't, whatever is going on with rainbow, we're all going to help her through it. Speaking of which do you know what's going on?

Aj: *cups rainbows cheek and rubs her thumb against it* I'm so sorry but I don't. If I did I'd fix it in a heartbeat.

Windy whistles: you and me both.

They continued to sit by rainbows side and applejack decided to go on her phone, she went on her Facebook page and found the picture that rainbow had posted of them together. She smiled at how happy her girlfriend looked but then she saw the comment that had triggered all this.

Aj: Um windy?

Windy whistles: yes dear?

Aj: have a look at this.

She handed Windy the phone and they were both shocked by what it said.

Windy whistles: "the chubby rainbow" I bet this is what's done her.

Aj: I'm so sorry I didn't know.

Windy whistles: it's not your fault aj, but now we know what's caused all this. Does it say who it was?

Aj: *checks her phone* no it's an anonymous sender.

Windy whistles: *sighs* ok well there not important right now, what's important is getting rainbow the help she needs.

*half an hour later*

Rainbow: *groggily* m-mum?

Windy whistles: *rushed to rainbows bedside* oh baby you're awake! How are you feeling?

Rainbow: tired. Where's dad?

Windy whistles: *strokes rainbows hair* he's at home baby, but look who's here.

Aj: *smiles lightly* hey sugar.

Rainbow: aj! What are you doing here?

Aj: *sits besides rainbow and strokes her arm* your mum called me as soon as you arrived here.

Rainbow: oh. What happened to me?

Windy whistles: you collapsed on the bathroom floor sweetie, doctor said you've been exercising too much and not eating enough.

Aj: rainbow why didn't you tell us about the comments on the photo?

Rainbow: I didn't want anyone to worry I thought i could handle it on my own. *tears up* I-I'm sorry.

Windy whistles: hey shhh it's ok we're not mad, but we do think you need to speak to someone about all this.

Rainbow: *sniffles* yeah ok.

*a couple of days later*

Rainbow was finally discharged from the hospital but she had to speak to the therapist first. She told them all about how she'd only been eating when her parents could see, and even then she would throw that food up again. The doctors and therapist diagnosed her with an eating disorder and told her family that she would need a lot of love as well, as professional support to get better.

*at rainbows house*

Rainbow and applejack were sat in rainbows bedroom with some carrot and cucumber sticks because, rainbow had been advised to start with light foods until her stomach got used to it again.

Rainbow: *looks at the carrot as her hand shakes*

Aj: *rubs rainbows and back and kisses her temple* it's ok you can do this.

Rainbow nods and slowly lifts the carrot to her mouth and begins to eat it. Once she'd eaten it took all of will power as well as applejacks support, to not rush into the bathroom.

Aj: *pulls rainbow onto her shoulder as they lay down on the bed and kisses her forehead* well done see? You can do it.

Rainbow: yeah I guess. Yeah I guess thanks for your help.

Aj: *kisses rainbow* anytime baby.

The girls stayed in each other's arms for the rest of night. Rainbow knew she had long and difficult road ahead, but with her family and applejack by her side things would get better.
