Time Of The Month (age 12)

A/N: this may be awkward and cringe, but the whole is experience is that.

Rainbow had hit that stage of her life that everyone dreaded. Puberty. She'd started to get spots and other things had started to develop, the one thing she had yet to start was her period. She went to the toilet and when she realised there was blood in her underwear, she ran downstairs in a panic.

Rainbow: *panicking* mum!

Windy whistles: *concerned* what's the matter sweetheart?!

Rainbow: *starting to cry* there's blood in my underwear, I'm dying!

Windy whistles: *rubs rainbows arms* ok, ok settle down sweetie you're not dying, it'll be your period starting.

Rainbow: *quietly* W-what's a period?

Windy whistles: it's the release of your ovaries sweetie, it comes out in blood.

Rainbow: is something bad going to happen to me?

Windy whistles: no baby, it's perfectly normal every girl goes through it. Come on I've got some stuff you can use so that your underwear stays clean.

Rainbow: ok.

Rainbow had been on her period for 3 days now, and she had been totally miserable, her stomach and back were killing her, and her emotions were all over the place due to her hormones.

Bow hothoof: rainbow do you want for dinner?

Rainbow: *snaps* I don't want anything!

Bow hothoof: *sternly* don't speak to me like that.

Rainbow: well don't ask me such stupid questions then!

Windy whistles: ok settle down, rainbow please apologise to your dad and then we can have dinner.

Rainbow: *slightly raising her voice* I'm not apologising to him!

She stormed off to her room, and laid on her bed with her hand over her stomach. Not long after windy came into her, and sat next to her and rubbed her back.

Windy whistles: are you ok sweetie?

Rainbow: *crying* n-no my stomach hurts, and I hate this pissing period!

Windy whistles: *stern but gentle* watch the language please. *holds her arm out to rainbow* come here.

Rainbow fell into her mother embrace and started crying loudly.

Rainbow: *sobs and hiccups* i-it h-hurts s-so m-much!

Windy windy: *rubs rainbows back and strokes her hair* shhhh I know it does baby, I know it does. How about you apologise to your dad for the way that you spoke to him, and then after lunch I'll give you the hot water bottle and some pain killers for the pain in your stomach?

Rainbow: *sniffling* yeah ok.

They both went downstairs and rainbow went over to bow and hugged him.

Rainbow: I'm sorry.

Bow hothoof: *hugs her back* I know sweetie it's ok. I'll always be your punch bag if you need it.

Rainbow: *hugs him tighter* thanks dad.

After they all had dinner rainbow sat on the sofa with a hot water bottle on her stomach, and was starting to feel much better. A few days later the first of many periods was over.
