It was a really warm day at the nursery and miss feather boa was allowing the children outside to play, as long as they promised to keep drinking.

Miss feather boa: kids you're allowed to play outside but, you all need to make sure you drink plenty.

Kids: yes miss feather boa!

Miss feather boa: ok come on then.

They all went outside. Miss feather boa wasn't going to let them play outside for too long, it wasn't overly hot but with the children being so young they couldn't take any chances. Rainbow and her friends were playing a game of hop scotch with some, chalk that miss feather boa had given to them. It was rainbows turn next but she was starting to feel a little funny.

Pinkie: *holds the stone out to rainbow* it's your turn dashie!

Rainbow didn't answer she just sat down the ground and put her head into her hands. The girls all became worried and knelt down next to her.

Fluttershy: *softly concerned* rainbow what's wrong?

Rainbow: *mumbling* feel funny.

Aj: would you like to go miss feather boa dashie?

Rainbow nods and stands up so they can go, to miss feather boa. However as they we're walking over to her rainbow started to feel really dizzy and faint, her eyes rolled back slightly and she passed out, luckily fluttershy was able to catch her.

Pinkie: *loudly* OH NO DASHIE!

Sunset: shh pinkie, fluttershy can you sit rainbow down and I'll go and get miss feather boa?

Fluttershy: *worriedly* ok sure.

Sunset went and fetched miss feather boa and then took her over to where rainbow was. When they got there rainbow had woken up but she started crying, so fluttershy stroked her hair and tried to comfort her the best she could.

Fluttershy: shhh dashie it'll be ok.

Miss feather boa: *concerned* what happened girls?

Twilight: rainbow fainted miss feather boa, I think it's because of the heat.

Miss feather boa: ok girls I'll take rainbow inside, you can keep playing but everyone will be coming inside soon.

She picked rainbow up and took her to the office. Rainbow started crying and said that she felt really sick.

Rainbow: *crying* W-want m-mummy!

Miss feather boa: *rubs rainbows back* I know you do sweetheart, I've called her and she's on her way.

*Windy arrives at school*

Windy whistles: hi miss feather boa, what happened?

Miss feather boa: rainbow here fainted and she said that she's feeling sick, from the heat I'm guessing.

Windy whistles: *picks rainbow up* oh sweetie! *feels rainbows forehead* you're burning up baby.

Rainbow: *buries her face in windy's shoulder* wanna go home mummy.

Windy whistles: *rocks rainbow gently* shhhh I know, come on then. Thank you miss feather boa.

Miss feather boa: it's not a problem. Get well soon rainbow.

Rainbow waves good bye and then she and windy left. Windy had come in the car and they had to have the air conditioning on full blast, on the way home because rainbow was so hot.

*at home*

Windy carried rainbow inside and then placed her on the sofa. She went upstairs to get rainbow some pyjamas, which was a pair of short and a vest. After she'd helped rainbow get changed, she went into the kitchen to get her a drink and the bowl just in case.

Windy whistles: here you are sweetie.

Rainbow looked at the juice but made no effort to have any of it.

Windy whistles: *rubs her fingers through rainbows hair* I knew you don't feel well baby, but you need to have a drink then you can sleep.

Rainbow took the cup and had a sip of the juice before she handed it back, to windy and laid down. Windy gently moved rainbow so that her head was on her lap, and started stroking her hair and cheek, which felt really hot so she didn't cover rainbow with the blanket. Rainbow slept for around 2-3 hours as she felt exhausted after fainting.
