First Christmas (age 5 months)

It was Christmas Eve and it was bow and Windy's first Christmas with rainbow, the infant was now 5 months old and this Christmas was going to be the best one yet.

Windy whistles: *excitedly* oooh I can't believe its dashie's first Christmas!

Bow hothoof: *smiling* I know! We're going to have such fun making cookies later for Santa!

Windy whistles: *chuckling* you're such a big kid.

Bow hothoof: of course!

They we're decorating the tree and they'd had to make sure the was no decorations on the bottom, because Rainbow was now crawling and they didn't want her to grab anything. Rainbow crawled over to bow and started tapping his foot, when he looked down at her she had a her dummy in her mouth, and smiling cutely at him.

Bow hothoof: *bends down and picks rainbow up* hi baby *smells rainbows nappy* I think someone needs a change!

Windy whistles: why don't you go and change her nappy and I'll get the ingredients ready for the cookies?

Bow hothoof: ok love. Come on dashie, let's go and change that smelly bottom!

He took rainbow up stairs and laid her down on the changing table. As he changed her nappy he told her all about Christmas and Santa Claus, he didn't know if she was taking any notice but it made him happy too see her giggling, although that could just be because he was tickling her. He finished changing her and then took her downstairs to where windy, had gotten the ingredients to make the cookies.

Windy whistles: hey! Are we all clean now?

Bow hothoof: yes we're all clean now right dashie?

Rainbow: *coos cutely*

Windy whistles: *takes rainbow from bow and holds her on her hip* come on dashie let's make some cookies.

They made the cookies and decorated them with loads of icing, well the icing that rainbow didn't get all over her face. Once they'd done that it was time for rainbow to go to bed.

Windy whistles: right bath time baby and then bed.

She gave rainbow a bath and then her and bow read her "the night before Christmas" as soon as the the story was over rainbow was fast asleep, and bow and Windy went into their room for the night.

*the next morning*

It was now Christmas morning and now was so excited he really wanted to wake rainbow up.

Windy whistles: honey settle down!

Bow hothoof: *excitedly* sorry I'm just so excited this is our first Christmas since we became parents!

Windy whistles: *chuckling* I know but rainbows so little she'll probably not even know what's going on.

Bow hothoof: ok can I go and get her out of bed now?

Windy whistles: yeah go on.

*in rainbows bedroom*

Bow walked over to the cot and lifted rainbow out and started rubbing her back, as she laid her head on his shoulder.

Bow hothoof: *kisses rainbows temple* come on baby, let's get you changed and then go and then see if Santa's been!

He changed her and then carried her downstairs.
They got downstairs and saw that where was loads of presents around the tree.

Bow hothoof: *gasps* look at all these presents dashie!

Windy whistles: breakfast first and then presents.

Bow hothoof: aww come on!

Windy whistles: rainbow needs to have a bottle of she'll be grumpy.

Bow hothoof: *sighs* fine.

Windy made rainbow her bottle and then whilst she was drinking it they opened the presents, rainbow got a lot of things which said "my first Christmas"

Windy whistles: *gasps* look at this rainbow!

It was a little white jumper which said "baby's first Christmas" rainbow started grabbing at the jumper and pulling on it.

Windy whistles: would you like to put it on baby?

Rainbow: *nods cutely*

Windy whistles: ok come here then.

She lifted rainbow onto her lap and put the jumper on her and then turned her around.

Bow hothoof: *sees rainbows jumper* oh wow adorable baby!

They finished opening presents and then it was time for dinner.

*at dinner*

Windy whistles: rainbow eat some of this food and then you can have cake.

Rainbow ate the dinner and then windy gave her cake. After dinner they sat and watched films, and soon after rainbow fell asleep. It really had been the best first Christmas ever.
