Today was the day of the school talent show and rainbow had decided that she was going to sing "one last time" by Ariana Grande. Her did not know that rainbow could sing so this was the first time that they were going to hear her.

Bow hothoof: come on dashie, why can't you let us hear a little bit of your singing?

Rainbow: *chuckles* no dad, i want it to be a surprise. Anyway is mum ready? we to need get going.

Windy whistles: *walking to the front door* yes I'm ready come on let's go.

*at the talent show*

The school had decided not to have this as a competition, but just to do it for fun.

Fluttershy: are you nervous dashie?

Rainbow: a little bit, I'm not worried about what our fellow students think I just want my parents to be proud of me.

The others all murmured in agreement and then it was time for rainbow to go on stage. She took the microphone and then stood at in the centre of the stage, and stared out into the crowd. She saw her parents were looking at her with excitement on their faces and this made rainbow really nervous. After a couple of seconds she took a deep breath and began to sing.

The whole room was in silence and rainbow started to get scared that she'd messed it up and disappointed her parents. She was about to walk off the stage when suddenly the whole place erupted into this huge frenzy, there was clapping, cheering and screams of excitement. EVERYONE was on their feet and bow and windy could not be prouder of their little girl. Rainbow went backstage to meet her friends who engulfed her in a massive hug.

Pinkie: *hugging rainbow tightly* you did it dashie!

Rainbow: *gasping for air* t-thanks pinkie, but can you please let me go?

Pinkie released rainbow from her grip, and then they all watched the remainder of the talent show.

*back home*

Rainbows parents had invited her friends round for dinner so they we're ordering pizza. Whilst windy was on the phone bow was still in awe of his daughter's beautiful voice and kept on congratulating her.

Rainbow: dad you don't have to be so emotional.

Bow hothoof: *tearing up* I know, it's just you have such a lovely voice and you obviously won.

Rainbow: *confused* uh dad? You do know that it wasn't a competition right?

Bow hothoof: *ruffles rainbows hair and kisses her forehead* of course I know that dashie, but if it was a competition you would have won!

Rainbow: *chuckles* thanks dad.

From this day forward rainbow sang ALL the time.
