Bow and Windy hadn't been getting along recently and their marriage was beginning to become strained, on top of that the children were suffering because of it.

Windy whistles: *angrily shouting* YOUR'E NEVER HERE, WITH ME OR OUR CHILDREN!

Bow hothoof: *shouts back* I'M NOT HERE BECAUSE I'M MAKING MONEY TO PROVIDE FOR US AND OUR CHILDREN!

Bow had gotten a new job which paid my money but the problem was, it meant him going away for a few days a week, so he wasn't with his kids and wife as much.

Windy whistles: IF YOUR'E GOING TO GO AWAY FOR DAYS WHY DON'T YOU GO FOR GOOD?!

Bow hothoof: MAYBE I WILL!

Windy whistles: *tearing up* GOOD GO!

Bow hothoof: FINE!

He slammed the door and he was gone.

It was the middle of the night and they thought that the girls were in bed, but rainbow had heard everything. She'd been sat on the top of the stairs listening to her parents arguing, she knew what divorce was and she terrified that, that was going to happen.

Scootaloo: *sits next to rainbow* why were mummy and daddy shouting dashie?

Rainbow: *puts her arm around Scootaloo* I don't know scoot, let's go and find out.

The girls went downstairs and into the living room where windy was sat on the sofa crying. Rainbow went up to here and tapped her on the shoulder.

Rainbow: *unsure* m-mummy?

Windy whistles: *turns and sees the girls and sees Scootaloo crying* oh girls I didn't see you did I wake you up?

Rainbow: *nods*

Scootaloo: *crying* why you and daddy fighting mummy?

Windy whistles: *cries again and lifts Scootaloo onto her lap* sometimes grown ups fight sweetie.

Scootaloo: it scary.

Windy whistles: *rocks Scootaloo gently* I know it is baby.

Rainbow: *becoming upset* you're not going to get a divorce are you mummy?

Windy wasn't sure how to answer that question she didn't even know, how rainbow knew what divorce was. She didn't want to divorce bow they'd been together forever, but at the same time she didn't want to stay together if it wasn't going to work, and she didn't want to lie to rainbow.

Windy whistles: *sniffles* honestly sweetheart I don't know.

Rainbow: *hugs windy and stars crying* I don't want you too get divorced!

Windy whistles: *rubs rainbows back* me neither baby.

*a few days later*

After the dust had settled and both parents had calmed down bow returned, him and windy sat and had a chat.

Windy whistles: rainbows absolutely terrified we're going to get divorced, she's been having nightmares.

Bow hothoof: I don't want to divorce you windy, but I took that job so we would have more money.

Windy whistles: money is no good bow if your never here, to share the time with your family.

Bow hothoof: *sighs* you're right I'll speak to my boss and ask about changing my hours.

Windy whistles: I think that would be best. And I'm sorry.

Bow hothoof: *lifts windy's chin and kisses her* I'm sorry too. So we're not going to get a divorce?

Windy whistles: no we're not. Girls can you come here a minute please?

The girls came rushing down the stairs and as soon as they saw bow they both ran into his arms.

Scootaloo: *excitedly* daddy you're home!

Bow hothoof: I sure am baby.

He noticed that rainbow seemed a little bit distant.

Bow hothoof: *worriedly* what's wrong dashie?

Rainbow: are you and mummy going to get divorced?

Bow hothoof: no sweetie, we've had a chat and we're not going to a divorce.

Rainbow was so happy and relieved that she burst into tears, windy went over to them and lifted rainbow onto her lap.

Windy whistles: shhh it's alright baby.

Rainbow: *calms down and sniffles* s-sorry I thought you were going to divorce.

Bow hothoof: *kisses rainbows forehead and then kisses Scootaloo's* well we're not and we'll be a happier family.

Bow managed to get less hours at work and was able to spend more, time with his family and his relationship with Windy, was stronger than ever before.
