Over Protective Daddy (age 10)

Rainbow was at the age that she wanted to start being more independent, she was wanting to go the cinema and bowling with her friends. The only issue was bow was extremely over protective and he really didn't want her going out with an adult.

Rainbow: *whining* but dad! You know my friends.

Bow hothoof: yes I know that I know them rainbow, but your going to a strange place.

Rainbow: dad I've been to the cinema and before.

Bow hothoof: yes but not without an adult.

Rainbow: but...

Bow hothoof: *getting fed up* look rainbow dash in a few years, when you're a teenager then you can go on your own. Until then unless there is going to be an adult with you the answer is no.

Rainbow: please....

Bow hothoof: no is my final answer, ask again and you will be grounded.

Rainbow: *huffing* fine.

Rainbow then went to her room to tell her friends that she couldn't go and then she stayed up in her room. After she had been sat in her room for about half an hour windy came in to see if she was ok.

Windy whistles: *sits on the bed* you ok dashie?

Rainbow: *sniffling* no.

Windy whistles: *worriedly* what's wrong?

Rainbow: dad won't let me go to the cinema and bowling with my friends.

Windy whistles: it's because he loves you sweetie.

Rainbow: *sighs* I know but I'm 10 years old, and all my friends are aloud to go without an adult.

Windy whistles: hmm I suppose he can be a little over protective.

Rainbow: can you talk to him for me?

Windy whistles: ok I'll have word.

*later on that day*

Windy whistles: rainbow can you come here a minute please?

Rainbow went downstairs and met her parents who were sat on the sofa waiting for her.

Windy whistles: ok so me and dad have decided that you can go out with your friends, but you need to follow some rules.

Rainbow: ok what are they?

Bow hothoof: *hands rainbow a phone*

Rainbow: *gasped* you're giving me a phone?!

Windy whistles: yes but here are the rules...

Bow hothoof: you need to call one of us when you get there and when you are leaving. We'd also like you to text us every so often.

Rainbow: ok that's fine! Thank you so much.

Bow hothoof: you're welcome, And I'm sorry for earlier it's just because I love you so much. *kisses her forehead*

Rainbow: I know dad I love you too.

Rainbow called her friends back and told them that now could go, and they went to the cinema and bowling. Rainbow followed her parents rules and her dad was much much more relaxed in the future.
