Camera

@/microwave654: "Basically, Zak gets a new phone with a better camera and starts taking pictures of random things with it because he loves the quality of it, and eventually he starts taking pictures of Darryl and they do like this whole photoshoot. Then later on Zak looks back at the pictures and has like a gay panic moment because of how cute Darryl is, and he sets his phone background to one of the pic"

No One's POV

A silent click allows Zak to see the picture has been taken. He smiles and he lowers his phone, clicking on the gallery and he zooms in to check every detail.

His brown-golden locks dangle above his head, forest-green like eyes shimmering against the sunlight, glowing-tan skin glistening against the sun's rays, and his smooth-pink lips form into a small smile. And he couldn't forget the way his glasses just hang on the edge of his nose as his eyes stay glued onto the book in his lap.

With a small giggle, Zak goes back to his camera and he points it back up. The image of the familiar tree sits empty as the boy is suddenly gone from his vision.

A small sigh escapes his lips as he lowers the phone so his eyes instead could spot the empty scene. "Where did he go off to?" Zak whispers.

"Hello."

A loud shriek escapes his lips and his body jumps in place. His heart has practically jumped out of his chest as he snaps his head around.

Turning his body in the picnic table chair, his eyes trail up to the figure and they catch themselves meeting the green orbs Zak remembers of.

"Oh..." Is all that escapes his lips as he realizes the missing boy is standing behind him. The book he was reading is clutched in his chest. A small giggle escapes the mysterious boy's lips.

"I noticed you like taking pictures of me." Zak's eyes widen as his brain processes what he just heard.

Shaking his head, he stumbles with a few words, "I-I... actually... uh... y-you see..."

Another giggle causes Zak's heart to flip. "Please, I actually feel flattered. Um... what's your name?"

His heart slowly steadies, his breathing going back to normal as he relaxes in his chair. "Zak."

Raises a hand up forward, the older boy smiles, "Darryl." Zak reaches forward and accepts the handshake. "Um... may I ask why you take the most pictures of me?"

As Zak lets go of Darryl's hand, he takes in a deep breath and fiddles with his phone a bit. "I don't know... I just got this phone and I really like the new camera quality... and I saw you before... and you look really cute... and..." Zak cuts himself off as Darryl walks beside him and takes a seat.

"Aw... thank you. You look adorable, you muffintop." A small smile appears on Darryl's face.

The two look forward, watching the street ahead as the park stands behind them. Children play on the playground and parents sit down in benches nearby, watching their children make noise.

In front of them, cars go by, honking and speeding and the sidewalks are busy with people going by.

Zak stops fiddling with the phone, looking down as his screen lights up. A picture of a blue flower he took not long ago pops up.

"Um... I'm sorry if this is weird to ask..." Zak mutters as Darryl turns to look at him, "but do you want to do a photoshoot?"

A grin appears on Darryl's face and he lights up in joy. "I would love to do a photo shoot!"

——-

Curling up in a ball on his bed, he scrolls through the different photos he had taken not long ago. Many catch his eyes as he finds the ones he loves the best.

No matter what position Darryl was in, he always looked happy and spectacular. Different images of Darryl up close or images that show his full body skim through his mind.

Zak stumbles upon a particular photo. It's a close up with Darryl sitting against a tree, his hands up in front of his face, holding his own cheeks. A large grin showing his white pearls and his nose is all scrunched up in an adorable way. Eyes shut as his sleeves cover most of his hands. His hair is shown to be blown in the wind, taking the same direction of left as his hairs dangle all over the place.

Examining the picture makes Zak blush, his face turning red as he clicks on the more options and suddenly the photo changes as his home screen. Giggling to himself, his heart twists as he thinks back to the long, tight hug Darryl gave him, along with his number.

"You really are a cute model." Zak smiles as he buries himself against the mattress and his head hits the pillows.

He is definitely going to see him again.
