(Bloom Into You)

You look up when the front door opens. As you lock eyes with your wife, you give her a wide smile. She returns a smaller one, making you frown. 

"Hi, love. How was work?"

You made your way to greet her, giving her a kiss and a hug. You're about to pull back but she tightens her hold on you. 

"Fine. Just hold me a little longer." 

She mumbles into your chest. You hum in agreement and run your fingers through her hair to soothe her. It seems to work as she feels less tense than earlier. 

"Do you want to talk about it?"

You ask when she pulls back.

"Not really. Maybe later."

You tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear as you smiled. 

"Alright, love. Get into something comfortable and I'll make us dinner."

Dinner was unusually quiet. You didn't want to push Sayaka with whatever was going through her head so you remained quiet. Once dinner was over, the two of you cleared up the plates and washed the dishes in silence. 

"Do you want a massage?"

"I'm ready to talk about it."

The two of you laugh when you realized you spoke at the same time. You took her hand and led her to your bedroom. 

"How about I give you a massage and you talk?"

"O...okay."

"Good. Then please undress while I get my oils."

It didn't matter that you had seen her naked plenty of times or that you had massaged her before, Sayaka was still shy when it came to being completely nude in front of you. She's relieved that you leave the room to let her comfortably undress. Once she's done, she lays on her back on the bed. 

You return a few minutes later with a towel, oil and some candles. Using the towel, you covered her lower half and began pouring the oil on her back. 

"Am I a good wife?"

Your hands still when you hear her question. Taking your silence as an answer, Sayaka begins to get up but you push her back down. You resume the massage, specifically working on the knots in her upper back. 

"You are an amazing wife, Sayaka. Why are you suddenly asking this? Have I done something or said something to make you think otherwise."

Sayaka is grateful that she doesn't have to look you in the eyes to talk. It would've made it more difficult to talk to you. 

"The last time I ever felt this much love for someone, I wasn't enough for them. I worry that I'm not enough for you. You do so much for me and I...."

You specifically go over a spot that stops her from talking to moan softly. You can't help but smirk when you notice the hint of red on her cheeks that she desperately tried to hide. 

"You are more than enough for me. I was the one who proposed, remember? I wouldn't have proposed if I didn't think you were the one for me. I love you, Sayaka. Stop thinking those silly thoughts."

Sayaka lets out a sigh of content, feeling a thousand times better. 

"I love you, (y/n)"
