AN: I haven't seen the anime or read the manga so characters might be OOC

Kotori had just taken her eyes of you for a second and you were suddenly gone. She searched around the roof but you were nowhere to be seen.

"Guys! I can't find (y/n)...." She's cut off when she hears Umi cry out your name. They all run to the back of the stairs to find you clinging on to Umi as you cried. "What happened? Are you okay, (y/n)?"

She watched you tried to talk but no words spilled while you continued to cry.

"She almost fell trying to search for her cane." They all dispersed to search for your missing cane, leaving you alone with Umi and Kotori. "Here. She'll probably want you to comfort her. I'll go help them look for the cane."

Kotori gently pulls you towards her and you automatically wrap your arms around her so you were now clinging on to her. She just held you while running her hands through your hair to help calm you down.

Practica was called off after they found your cane.

"Here. It had managed to slip in a crevice under the bench."

Umi tells Kotori after handing her back your cane. You had finally calmed down but still hadn't moved from Kotori's lap.

"Thank you for saving me, Umi."

"You can take me by letting us know if you need help, (y/n). You gave us all quite a scare. Especially Kotori."

Umi looked over at your girlfriend, finding that she was trying and failing to hold back her tears.

You nod as you cupped Kotori's cheeks, finding that they were wet.

"I will. We'll see you tomorrow." You wait until Umi leaves so you could talk to Kotori. "I'm sorry for scaring you, Kotori."

"I...I almost lost you, (y/n). All because I wasn't paying attention to you."

"It's not your fault, Kotori. I could've asked you for help but instead I stubbornly decided to look for it on my own. I promise to ask you next time."

"That's all I ask."

"Lets go home. I think we both had enough for the day."

Kotori helps you stand and leads you out of the school without letting go of your hand. You knew if she could, she would've been carrying you back to your place.

Once home, the two of you took a nap, holding on to each other tightly.
