Irina rolls her eyes when she spots the chocolate and flowers at her desk. She didn't even have to read the card to know that you were the one that had dropped the off. As she walked in, the students gave her a knowing look when she picked up the flowers.

"Is that from Ms. (l/n)? Are the two of you finally dating?"

One of the kids dares to ask. Irina turns to face him and throws the box of chocolates at him.

"No. Not that it's any of your business anyways. Now get out your books so we can start on this lesson."

While the students grab their books, she pulls out one of the flowers to keep before throwing away the rest. She couldn't have you see that she appreciated the gesture.

"Irina! I'm so glad that I caught you before you left..."

"What do you want, (y/n)? I'm busy."

You laugh as you look down at the fashion magazine that she was reading.

"I'm terribly sorry for interrupting your important reading but I just wanted to let you know that I'm taking off for a few days..."

Irina closes the magazine and slams it on her desk.

"That's why you interrupted my precious time? You could've just sent me a text."

"Yeah, but then wouldn't have been able to do this."

"Do what?"

You give her a wide smile as you walk around her desk and pull her into a tight hug. Irina pretends to struggle in your hold.

"A hug! I'm not sure when I'll be back so I couldn't leave without a giving you a hug."

You finally let her go and give her some space.

"Whatever. If that's all that you wanted to tell me then you can fuck off. The kids are going to back anytime soon and I don't want them to start their rumors again. Which thank you by the way, the loveely flowers that you sent me helped fuel them again. I had just managed to get them to shut up."

"I'm glad you loved the flowers and chocolate. Nothing but the best for you!"

You lean down and kiss her cheek before making your way out.

"Fuck off!"

Irina can't help but smile when she hears you laugh. She couldn't believe she had fallen for an idiot.

Koro-sensei sticks out one of his arms to stop you in the halfway.

"I need to talk to you."

You nod and walk into his class. He closes the door with the lock and makes you take a seat.

"What is it that you wanted to talk about?"

"You're really going on this mission?"

"Yeah, there's no one better for the job than me."

"That's not true. There are plenty of other agents that can go in your place. Let them take it.'

"I can handle this. I've been at this job for years. Don't worry."

"This mission is far more dangerous than the other ones that you've been to. This is not something to take lightly, (y/n). There's still time for you to change your mind."

"I'm not going to change my mind. I know about the risks and the possibilities that I might not come back."

"Have you told Irina about it?"

"She just knows it's another mission. There's no reason to tell her how dangerous this one is."

"You should tell her."

You get a message, letting you know that you were running late.

"I would rather not. We'll just keep it between us, okay?"

He sighs and nods.

"Be careful, (y/n)"

You made a point to never miss more than a week so everyone worried when you didn't return by the second week. Koro-sensei calmed their fears by giving them some excuse that your mission had taken longer than necessary but they didn't buy it.

The third week comes around and Koro-sensei gathers everyone to give them answers.

"I regret to inform you that Ms. (l/n) died on the mission. I was just informed this morning. I'm here for all of you. I know how much you loved her..."

"Don't be ridiculous, octopus. (y/n) probably put you up to this. This is her way of getting back to me, right?"

Irina looked around the room, finding that the students were genuinely devastated. There was no way their reaction could've been faked. They look distraught.

"Knock it off, Irina. Can't you see that the kids just lost one of their teachers."

"I....I need to go."

Irina attempted to pull out a cigarette to help calm herself but she just ended up dropping them as her tears made it difficult to properly see. She falls to her knees and doesn't bother to stop her tears as she sobs for you.

"You're a fucking idiot, (y/n)! You should've never left me!"

She yells to no one in particular. She just needed to scream something to deal with her feelings.
