You and Akame are walking ahead of the group, talking quietly amongst each other to avoid the others listening in to the conversation. They had a habit of being nosy and neither you or Akame wanted for them to hear details about your relationship.

"Hey Tatsumi, how do you think their relationship works?"

Leone walked slower so she could join Tatsumi in the back.

"Not again. I really do want to be murdered because I didn't mind my business."

"Oh please, they're not going to murder you. They think you're cute so I'm sure you'll get a pass."

He still didn't want to risk it, he had seen what the two of you were capable of when someone hadn't minded their business.

"No way. Go talk to someone else about this."

"But it's way more fun to talk to you about this than anyone else."

Tatsumi ignored her, refusing to continue the conversation. Leone thinks nothing of it, simply continuing with her earlier question.

"Like who do you think is the top in their relationship?"

Tatsumi's eyes widen in disbelief and he hurries to cover her mouth before she says anything else.

"Do you have a death wish!? Shut up!"

The two of you suddenly stop walking and turn around to face the group. Tatsumi's goes pale as he starts uttering a silent prayer to be saved. Leone just rolls her eyes and waits for you to speak.

"Our target is just ahead. Head to your positions and wait for my signal."

Tatsumi waits until you're out of sight to release his breath. He nearly wet his pants at the thought of the two of you over hearing your conversation.

"You really need to relax, Tatsumi."

"Fuck off, Leone."

You watched from afar as Akame approached the target. The mission was meant to be simple, while Akame killed the target, the rest of the team killed the bodyguards that would hide nearby. You're supposed to stay behind and jump in if Akame ran into trouble. No one had expected for you to be the one in trouble.

"Akame should know better. It's not safe for women to be alone in the dark."

You spin around and hold up your blade to them, practically daring them to attack.

"I can protect myself just fine."

"Well in that case..."

The 4 of them rush in to attack you. Their moves are childish and it makes you wonder why they bothered to have incompetent people like them as bodyguards. You're quick to take them down, making sure to keep one awake for questioning.

"What the hell was this? Did you really think that you could take me down?"

He laughs, spitting blood on your boots.

"No, we just wanted to distract you."

Your eyes widen in realization. They kept you from watching Akame's back. Slicing his head off, you make your way towards Akame.

"Akame!"

There was no point in keeping quiet when they already knew that Night Raid had arrived. Hearing your screaming, the rest of the team runs down to search for Akame.

When you finally reach Akame, she's surrounded by quite a lot of men. She's in the middle of their circle while holding up her blade to stop them from coming closer. There's already quite a few bodies on the floor and you could tell that she's been fighting for quite a while. Quickly jumping into action, the team helps take down the rest of them.

"Are you okay, Akame? I'm so sorry. They attacked me back in the forest and I...."

"I'm okay. Are you? You're not hurt, are you?"

You don't care that anyone is looking when you press a kiss on her cheek. It was the most you could do in front of everyone.

"I'm okay. We should go before more arrive."

You lead the team out of the building, only stopping when someone jumps out of nowhere and attacks you. Akame was quick enough to pull you back to the team. She pulls out her blade and holds it up to the man that attacked you.

"You're going to regret that."

Akame had seen blood spill from you but she wasn't sure what the extent of your injury was. All that mattered is that they had hurt you and they were going to pay with their life.

"Oops. That was meant for you."

She doesn't say anything else as she rushes in to attack him. He's more skilled than the one's that attacked her inside but he's still no match for her. The fight is over within minutes. She wanted to make him suffer for what he had to so she only slashed his cheek and let the blade do its job.

"That's it? I don't see why everyone is so afraid of you. You're weak. You're already exhaus...."

His words are cut off as the curse starts to take hold of him. Like the rest of her victims, the man's death is slow and pain.

"That never gets old."

You whisper when he finally drops dead. Akame turns around to face you, worry etched in her eyes as she sees the blood that had soaked through the make-shift bandage.

"You're hurt. We need to hurry and get back to hideout."

"Akame, I'm fine. It's just a little cut."

She pays you no attention as carries you in her arms and takes off to the hideout, leaving the rest of the team to get back on their own.

Just like you had told her, the cut wasn't anything to worry about after she stitched you up.

"Akame, I'm fine. I can move on my own."

You attempted to get up but she just pushed you back down.

"No. You get up again and I'll be forced to tie you down. You have stitches and I don't want you to open them on accident."

You sighed and didn't bother to move again. Akame would actually follow through with her promise of tying you up.

"Fine. I'll lay down as long as you don't leave me alone. I get bored easily." She nods, laying down beside you with some space between the two of you. "Seriously?"

Not one to be deprived of cuddles, you scoot closer to her.

"I told you not to move!"

"And I wanted to cuddle with you. Either you cuddle with me or I'm going to continue moving."

She glared at you, hoping you would just listen and stop moving but you don't. With an annoyed sigh, she places an arm over your waist and moves closer to you.

"Is this better?"

"So much better"
