"(y/n)!"

"Susanoo, cover me!"

The man quickly throws off who he was fighting and rushes to protect his master. With Susanoo at her side, Najenda rushes to you. At your side, she quickly places your head on her lap and checks for any other visible injuries.

"I'm fine, Najenda. Just a scratch."

You mumbled to her as you pushed her hands away.

"Just a scratch? You hit your head! You could have a concussion. We need to pull back."

"N..no. We can't pull back."

You attempted to stand up but you almost tripped over your own feet. Najenda was quick to help you stand properly despite your protesting.

"We're pulling back and that's final. Pull back!"

She screams at the rest of Night Raid. They all follow orders, making sure that their escape was safe and that the Jaegers wouldn't follow them.

Esdeath was intrigued after what just had happened. As far as she could remember Najenda only cared about finishing missions. It didn't matter what the cost would be and how many soldiers she would lose, her priority was executing the orders from above. To see her blatantly ignore her primary objective was a little shocking.

"Doctor, Seryu, find out who that girl. She just might be the key to taking down Night Raid."

It took them several days but eventually they were able to find out information about exactly who you were. The two of them were excited to report their findings, knowing that Esdeath would be happy to hear that she had been right.

"Turns out that (y/n) is married to Najenda! You were right, commander! She might be the key. Did you see how they pulled back as soon as she was injured? Imagine what we could do if we kidnap her."

Esdeath had her back towards them as she stared at the forest from afar. She couldn't believe that Najenda had gotten careless. Her mistake was going to cost her greatly and that made her smile.

After carefully planning how to go about the kidnapping, the Jaegers were set up to ambush Night Raid. The Jaegers would serve as a distraction while Esdeath remained hidden until the perfect moment to kidnap you.

"They're coming!"

Seryu warns her teammates as she launches the first attack. Night Raid had expected them so they were ready. All of them had been separated to fight a member while Najenda remained at your side to protect you. You were still injured, unable to even fight. The only reason why you were even out was so they could take you somewhere were you could be treated for the injury you had sustained a few days ago.

"I'm disappointed in you, Najenda. I used to respect you but after what I saw, I think you're pathetic."

"What are you talking about, Esdeath?"

Esdeath smiles as she points to you.

"Nothing else matters other than a mission. You should've let her die. She's going to be your downfall."

Furious about what Esdeath was saying, Najenda attacks. Susanoo remains at your side, protecting you.

"You need to help her, Susanoo. Esdeath was provoking her."

"Master told me to remain at your side. I must do as she says."

You groaned loudly, hating that now he was actually following orders. There were times that you could convince him to do as you said after convincing him that you were his master just as much as Najenda was.

"But Susanoo...."

"No. I'm not leaving your side. You're hurt."

Esdeath should've known that Najenda wouldn't go down easily. With a signal, plan B was started. Half of the Jaegers focused on all of Night Raid, using their trump cards to keep them distracted. The other would kidnap you.

It took a while of pining down Susanoo but eventually they were able to get it down. Wave grabbed you and took off with the rest of the Jaegers.

"I told you she was going to be your down fall."

They all tried to save you but each of their attempts were blocked by the remaining Jaegers. When they were able to find an opening, you were gone.

"Just tell me what I want and I'll let you. It's simple as that." You remained silent, refusing to do as she said. You didn't care if she tortured you, you weren't going to ruin everything that the rebellion had worked for. Countless of lives had been sacrificed, you weren't going to be the exception just because you were Najenda's wife. "Don't you want to see your wife again? I'm sure she'll be happy to see you again? I don't think she'll mind if you give up their plans. I mean she failed completing her orders when you got hurt."

"Shut up! Najenda is a great leader!"

"I would agree but not after what I saw. It's a shame, really. I respected her even if she was my enemy. I leave you alone so you can rethink your choices."

You weren't sure how long it's been since you had been taken. All you knew was that every time the door of your cell was opened, more pain would come. Everything hurt. You stopped screaming until you physically couldn't You weren't sure how you were alive after the torture that you had been subjected to.

"A visitor will be coming to see you soon. I'm sure you're going to be happy to see them again."

You keep your head down, not bothering go raise it again. You were so tired. You honestly wished for her to just kill you already.

"(y/n)!"

Hearing Najenda's voice again made you believe you were hallucinating. There was no way she had made it to the castle.

"Ah. Our special guest finally arrived." Esdeath stands up and makes her way to stand behind you just as Najenda barges into the room. "Najenda! So nice of you to join us. We were getting tired of waiting for you." Esdeath grips your hair and pulls it back so you could look at Najenda. Your wife lets out a loud gasp when she sees the condition you were in. She nearly threw up at the sight of what they had done to your body. "You can rest easy. Your wife never gave us anything. She wouldn't even give us a knife after we promised a day of rest. Honestly, she could've used it. It's not fun to do this without screaming."

Najenda lunged at her but stopped always when Esdeath held a blade to your neck. You didn't even flinch as you were cut. The tiny cut was nothing compared to what they had put you through.

"What do you want?"

"What do I want? I want to bring down Night Raid." Najenda screams as Esdeath slices your throat. "Oh sorry. My hand slipped. I'll leave the two of you alone. I'm not that cruel."

Najenda rushes to take you off of the chains you were in. She catches you as you fall.

"You're going to be okay, (y/n). Just stay with me!"

She covered your neck, attempting to stop the bleeding but she had no luck. It just kept spilling.

You attempted to speak but it was impossible. Instead of talking, you gave her a small smile and mouthed the words 'okay' as you took your last breath.

Najenda cried as she held you close to her chest. She sobbed loudly, hating herself for not saving you.

Night Raid lets out gasps when they saw Najenda coming out of the building with you in her arms. The two of you were covered in blood and neither of them were sure whose it was. As she got closer, they could see the large wound across your neck and various other injuries that you had sustained during your torture sessions.

"We're going to kill every last one of them."
