(Akame Ga Kill)

Akame was a regular at your food stand. She would come so often that you would always have her order ready before she even arrived. You didn't know much about her, only that she had quite a big appetite. She would stand nearby and quickly eat everything that you prepared for her. There were times she would just tell you a quick thank you and drop off a huge tip and there were other times that she asked you questions. You didn't mind being asked about your life but you would've loved to know more about her. 

She was taken aback when you started asking questions about her. She was hesitant about answering anything and when she did answer, you could always tell that she was lying. You weren't upset about the lies, in the empire, those that trusted easily were always killed. You always wondered how you managed to wake up with your heart still beating with how often you trusted people. 

What you didn't know was that Akame would keep an eye on you. Making sure that you got home safely by taking out anyone that attempted to harm you.

Slowly but surely, she began to trust you. You learned about her name and her childhood but her present was still a mystery to you. 

"Go on date with me?"

You ask her during her daily lunch trips. Akame turns around, wondering if you were talking to her. 

"Me?"

You can't help but laugh as she asks you with her mouth full. 

"Yes, you. What do you say?"

She finishes eating before finally answering you. 

"But you don't know anything about me."

"So? You're a mystery. I like that. I don't care if you've lied to me about the majority about your life."

"I've never lied. Simply just avoid answering what I didn't feel comfortable with."

"So a lie by omission."

"....alright. I did lie. I'm going to be honest with you for just a second. I like you, (y/n). I just don't think that this will ever work out. I won't ever be honest with you. I'll lie by omission and never tell you the truth about a lot of things...."

"so like always?"

She stares at you for a second. Unsure of why you would still want to go out with her. It made her suspicious of you being part of the Empire forces but she found it hard to believe that you would be a part of them. You would often talk about how the empire was going to the ground. 

"Alright. I'll go out with you."

Since the date, Akame would visit your food stand more often. She always ate but she stuck around for much longer than she did before. The two of you would often talk for hours until she eventually had to leave or you had to deal with a bunch of customers. Dating Akame had its ups and downs but she made you happy and that's all that mattered.

You're making your way to your food stand when Akame suddenly appears in front of you. You hadn't realized how quick she was when she moved around. 

"Akame! I didn't expect you...."

"I'm sorry but we need to go! I need to take you somewhere safe. Do you trust me?"

You expected for her to be panicking with how urgent she sounded but she seemed so calm. 

"I do. Of course, I trust you. What's going on?"

She looked like she was going to tell you but she stopped herself. 

"Later. I promise. Just come with me."

You take her hand and follow after her.

"An assassin? You're an assassin from Night Raid? This is why you didn't want to be completely honest with me?"

Akame had led you to the main room, introducing you to her friends and then officially telling you who she was and what happened. 

"I am. I'm not sorry for who I am and what I've done. Everything I've done is to help rebuild a better empire."

You could tell her friends were ready to kill you at any moment if they noticed a slight hesitation but there was nothing to hesitate. You loved Akame and you wanted nothing more than for the empire to be as great as it used to be. 

"Akame, I love you. I don't care if you're an assassin. You only kill those that deserve it. Plus it's pretty badass. Can I see you train one time?"

Akame gives you a smile and leans in to kiss you, catching everyone off guard. They had never seen this side of Akame but they were happy for her. 

"You can watch me train whenever you want."
