(High-Rise Invasion)

"What?"

Sniper Mask asks Kuon as she glares at him.

"You can't just leave her there. We need to bring her back."

"Kuon, there's no way that we can get her. She's splattered all across the sidewalk. You can take a look if you want."

"You said if we want to build an alliance with them, I'm going to have to prove myself to them. This is what I can do."

"We'll die if we attempt to go down. I'd rather not partner up if it means we lose."

Kuon turns around and heads to the edge of the building to see where you had fallen. The only way to reach you would involve cutting down the bridge and climbing it down.

"If you're not going to help me then I can do it alone."

Sniper Mask follows after her, attempting to get her to change her mind but she wasn't budging. They get to the building that you had fallen from and Kuon was still insisting to retrieve your body.

"Fine. I'll go down there. Just don't go anywhere."

Kuon gives him a smile and nods.

"Be careful."

With two precise shots, Sniper Mask manages to cut down the bridge from the other side. The bridge falls and its become a ladder. He straps his rifle to his back and climbs down the ladder.

At the bottom, he finds you and the other angel unmasked. The mask is on your side, glowing. He figured since you were already dead, he could cover your face to save Kuon from seeing what had happened to you. He grabs it and puts it over your face. A second passes and your body jerks involuntary. He freaks out and drops you.

"Hell. You can't seriously be alive. I shot you."

He's about to kick you but you stop his foot with your hand. There was no way you were alive. The mask must be controlling your body with a series of shocks to your body. If you were alive, you would be screaming from the pain you would be in. You had broken bones and large gashes across your body. Stepping back, he grabs his rifle and gets ready to shoot you. When he looks into his scoop, your body is gone.

After hearing the shot, your world faded into black. There was no after life, no golden gates or a pit of fire. There was just nothing.

"You've been given a second chance."

A voice tells you after so long.

"A second chance? What are you talking about?"

"Don't screw it up."

The dark is replaced by the sky when you open your eyes.

Kuon was disappointed when Sniper Mask came back empty handed. His story was strange but she believed him. In the short time that she had known him, she had come to trust him. It just sucked that she wouldn't be able to give you a proper burial.

She fell asleep as she prayed for your soul to finally rest in peace.

Kuon and Sniper Mask where creeped out to find an Angel staring down at them when they woke up. Sniper Mask pointed his rifle at the Angel but hesitated to shoot when the Angel just stood still.

"Huh. I think I know where our friend could've gone."

Kuon frowns, confused about what he meant.

"What do you mean? You said she disappeared."

Kuon puts his rifle down and makes his way over to the Angel.

"And she's back."

"It's her?! She's the one that was on the ground."

"The one and only. I can't seem to understand how there's no sign of her injuries."

"Then we should get some answers. I'll wake her up."

Sniper Mask watches over the two of you as Kuon goes inside your mind. Instead of getting a replay of the moment when you broke up with Mayu, you get a reply of the moment before you died.

Kuon stops you before you could throw yourself over the building and the memory pauses.

"You saved me."

"And you're still alive. How?"

"I...I don't know. All I remember before waking up was someone telling me that I was given a second chance and to not screw it up."

"This has something to do with that blonde girl, right?"

"Yes, she's an ex."

"Well then lets not wait around. We should go find her."

Both of you return back to the actual world within seconds. Sniper Mask had just finished his cigarette when the two of you woke up.

"Nice to see the two of you back in the living world."

As you searched for Mayu, you told them everything that had happened.

"I've disappointed her twice. She definitely hates me."

"Give yourself some credit, kid. You killed yourself to save her and her girlfriend."

"Sniper Mask is right. Mayu wanted to go after you when you threw yourself over the building. If Yuri hadn't stopped her, I'm sure she would've thrown herself off the building.

"I guess we'll see when we reunite again."

Yuri and Mayu pointed their guns at Sniper Mask and the other two girls that were accompanying him. They were across the bridge so they couldn't very well see your faces.

"Come any closer and we shoot."

Sniper mask laughs as he holds up his hands.

"You owe me a favor. I helped the two of you out earlier."

"We don't owe you shit!"

He pulls out a cigarette and begins to smoke.

"You could shoot us or you could reunite with a friend."

"What the hell are you talking about?"

Tired of their back and forth, you step up. Both of them quickly point their guns at you.

"Not another step!"

Yuri yells at you.

"I'm not here to hurt you."

Mayu gasps when she hear your voice. She must be imagining things. You were dead. Sniper Mask had shot you after you had fallen from the tall building. You had bones sticking out or your body and a lot of your blood had spilled.

"Is this some sick joke!?"

Yuri asks Sniper Mask.

"I can assure you. There's nothing to joke about here. Your little friend cheated death."

With his confirmation, Mayu runs to hug you. She jumps into your arms, nearly knocking you over.

"You're a fucking idiot!" She tells you between sobs. "You died!"

"I'm sorry, Mayu. I had to do something. He was going to take us all out."

She jumps down from your arms and pokes your chest hard with her finger.

"Don't ever do that to me again.Or next time I'll be the one to bring you back alive and kill you myself. Got it?"

You quickly nod.

"I won't do anything stupid."

"Good."

The three of you joined them in their hideout. Sniper Mask got his own room while you had to share with Kuon and Yuri shared with Mayu.

"Do you still love her?"

Kuon asks you just as you were about to fall asleep.

"Mayu?"

"Yeah?"

You think for a second, remembering how happy Mayu is with Yuri.

"I do but I'm never getting another chance with her. Mayu might care for me but she loves Yuri"

"So why do you think you got a second chance if it wasn't to get back with Mayu?"

"I think I'm here to protect the two of them and now you."

You tell her as you turn around to face her with a smile.

"Me?"

She asks with a blush that she attempted to hide.

"You and Sniper Mask saved me. He doesn't need my help to protect him but you do."

"I can take care of myself!"

"I'm sure you can but I'll still be here. Goodnight, Kuon."

"Goodnight, (y/n)"

Both of you fell asleep with a smile, looking forward to what the future would be like.
