(The Otherside Picnic)

"and this is my sister, (full name)."

You give her a small wave when her eyes land on you.

"Well nice to meet the two of you. Thanks again for saving my life."

"No problem!"

You don't say anything, choosing to instead let your sister do all the talking. Toriko had always been the people person.

"Right. Any chance that the two of you know a way out?"

"Yes! Follow us."

Once back in the real world, the three of you went your own ways with the promise to contact each other. Seeing how Sorawo had been hesitant to give Toriko her phone, you knew you weren't going to see her again.

"She was so nice! I hope we can go back together. Maybe the three of us will be able to find her."

"I hate to burst your bubble Toriko but I don't think we'll be seeing her anytime soon."

"What?! Don't say that! She was so nice. I gave her my number and I'm sure she'll want to go back."

"Yeah but I doubt she'll call you." She stops walking, making you bump into her. "Hey, what gives?"

She turns around with a frown.

"She'll call. I know she will. In the meantime, lets find out if we can sell the cube."

You're relieved that Toriko continues on her way. You hated to upset your sister but sometimes she needed a reality check so she wouldn't be upset by others.

"Oh my gosh, there she is!" Toriko grabs your arm and drags you along with her through the hallways until you arrive at the mess hall. "Sorawo! Sorawo!"

You cover Toriko's mouth when you notice people staring at the two of you.

"Quiet. She heard you."

She licks your hand, making you pull it back in disgust. Before you could get mad at her, she ran off to join Sorawo.

".....so this is your third. When do you want to go back?"

You arrived to find Toriko already handing Sorawo her money. To keep others from seeing it, you stand in between the two of them to cover the cash.

"Put it away before someone sees it."

"Oh..oh right!" Sorawo quickly puts away and turns to face the two of you. "How did you find me? I thought the two of you said that you didn't go to school."

"Pure chance actually!" After taking a seat, you nod along to confirm Toriko's words. "We were on our way to get breakfast when we saw you going into the building.

"I tried to stop her so I apologize."

"It's not like I know anyone here....do the two of you really want to go back?"

"Of course! I'm looking for someone and I'm going to keep going back until I find her. Plus I found someone that pays a lot for us to bring her back things from the Otherside."

"The Otherside is dangerous and since Toriko insists on going back then I'll join her."

"It would be better to go with others." Sorawo whispers to herself. "I'll go with the two of you."

"Yay! Lets go then!"

Once back, it didn't take long for the three of you to find the monsters again. This time, however, they weren't going down like they did last time.

"I need to look at it while you keep shooting!"

"What?! No! That's dangerous!"

Toriko yells at Sorawo, attempting to stop her from doing something stupid.

"Just keep shooting!"

You listened to Sorawo while still keeping an eye on the two of them. The two of you eventually ran out of bullets and the monster wasn't going away.

"Sorawo!" Toriko yelled at her to bring her back. "Sorawo!"

Sorawo wasn't listening and you knew the monster would kill her if you didn't think of something. With no other choice, you tackled her out of his sight and covered her head with your body. She seems to finally snap out of her trance.

"W...what happened?"

"We need to go. Now!"

You help her stand and the three of you rush back to where you had entered into the Otherside.

After making sure that Sorawo was alright, the three of you split off.

"So Sorawo, huh?"

You rolled your eyes when you heard her teasing tone.

"What about Sorawo?"

She turns around to face you with a smirk.

"You didn't seem to hesitate to jump in to save her."

"That thing was going to kill her. Did you expect me to just stay there until she woke up?"

"Hmm true. Nevermind."

She lets it go and you're relieved that she doesn't bother you about it.

You should've known that Toriko wouldn't let it go. Ever since that talk, Toriko would always talk to Sorawo about you. It wouldn't stop until you complained about it a dozen times.

"Just what do you think you're doing?"

You ask Toriko after the three of you split off to head back home.

"What are you referring to?"

"Why do you keep talking about me with Sorawo?"

"She doesn't seem to complain. I'm just making conversation."

"Pick something else to talk about!"

She smiles and bops your nose.

"Not until one of you ask each other out."

"What?! Toriko!"

She ran off, laughing as you chased her.

"Toriko!"

You screamed at her, trying to pull her back but she kept going on about something you weren't listening to.

"There! That thing is trying to take her!"

You turn to where Sorawo was pointing and began to shot. You didn't stop until you ran out of bullets.

"It's her. I finally found her!"

"Dammit, Toriko! It's not her!"

You slapped her, desperate to pull her back but she continued talking. It isn't until the monster disappears that Toriko finally snaps out of it.

"Woah. What just happened?"

"You idiot!" You hugged her tightly, relieved that she was herself again. "You almost died! That thing tried to take you."

Before Toriko could say anything, the three of you are suddenly teleported into a blue void.

"It's not my fault! The two of you wouldn't come with me."

You rolled your eyes as you hit her arm with your fist.

"That didn't mean you could come by yourself. If Sorawo hadn't come with me, I would've never been able to find you."

"Thank, Sorawo!" Toriko hugs her and then looks around the room. "So how do we get out of here."

"Just grab anything and pull!"

Toriko does as Sorawo says and a portal shows up. Your sister is the first to walk in, leaving you alone with Sorawo.

"Sorawo?" Sorawo turns to face you as you call her. "Um, thank you for saving my sister."

"It's nothing. The two of you had saved me too."

You nod and she continues to climb through the portal.

"Would you go out with me?" You yell at her, surprising her to the point that she slipped and fell in the hole. You take a second before you join them. "Forget what I said! I don't know what I was thinking."

You yell at her again before grabbing Toriko's arm and leading her back to the apartment.

Toriko had tried to get you to spill about what happened but you refused. You're relieved that Sorawo doesn't ask you about it. Night falls and you think you're save when you receive a message from Sorawo. Your heart races and you take a long time to decide whether to open it or not.

'I'd love to go on a date with you.'

Toriko rushes to your room when she hears a scream coming from it.

"What?! What happened? Are you okay?" Instead of saying anything, you just hand her your phone. Toriko just laughs when she sees Sorawo's message. "I was right all along. You did like her."

"Shut up!"

Toriko found it amusing to see you acting like a high school girl with a crush. It was cute. This had been the first time she had seen you like someone and she was glad to see you happy.
