The Jaegers turned to Esdeath, trying to gauge her reaction after learning that you had defected from the empire and had joined Night Raid. 

"This doesn't change anything. The mission proceeds as planned. Kill whenever you have the chance but leave (y/n) to me. You're all dismissed."

Esdeath doesn't spare them a glance as they all rush out of the room to leave her alone. She was far too focused on thinking about the fact that you had followed through with what you had said. She had made one mistake and that was all you needed to run off to join her enemies. It pissed her off that you hadn't even given her a chance to apologize for her mistake. She was going to bring you back home and make you regret ever thinking about defecting from the empire.

You waved at your old team, happy to see them. 

"(y/n)! Focus!"

Akame yells at you before Night Raid rushed to make the first move. 

"Sorry, boss!"

You give her an apologetic smile and join the others in the fight. 

"General Esdeath is going to kill you."

You roll your eyes as you block Waves' staff. 

"I think you're mistaken. I'm going to kill her."

The two of you continue to just block each other's attacks while talking. 

"But why? Why leave? Why betray us? I thought you were in love with General Esdeath?"

"Oh, Wave. I do love Esdeath but I'm mad at her. I'm only doing this to piss her off."

Esdeath calls Wave to take over her fight so she could fight you. 

"When are you going to come home?"

"Not until you apologize!"

You laugh as her attacks get stronger and quicker. If you had known this would be the reaction Esdeath would have if you left, you would've left a long time ago. 

"I said for you to come home. Stop this ridiculous act."

"Or what? Your threats mean nothing to mean because I know you won't kill me."

The two of you held your swords at each other's throat, waiting for the other one to make a move. 

"I can and will kill you if you don't return!"

"Oh, Esdeath. You're really going to kill me? You don't scare me anymore. You stopped being scary the moment you got on your back for me."

If you weren't quicker than her, you would've lost your head as she attacked. 

"Night Raid doesn't even trust you!"

"I don't care. As long as I'm with them, I'm pissing you off and that's all I care about."

The two of you continue fighting each other, moving further and further away from the rest of the fight. 

"You're associating with traitors of the empire. You should be killed."

"And you should be killed for what you did. I still haven't heard and apology. Maybe I might go back if you say that you're sorry!"

Esdeath glares at you as you give her a smirk. 

"I'm sorry! Now come home."

She says when you manage to cut her cheek. She lowers her sword, making you stop. 

"That's all I get? After what you did? I don't think so. You need to do better if you want me to come back with you, Esdeath."

The two of you continued to fight with Esdeath continuing to apologize for what she had done."

"What more do you want from me? I already apologized."

She asks as she lands on her back with you on top. You're quick to use the opportunity to pin her hands back with your sword at her throat. 

"Hmm. I could think of a few things."

Esdeath has to look away as she feels her cheeks heat up at what you were implying. 

"I'll do it! I'll do anything. Just come home"

Wanting to mess with her before you give in, you continue to mess with her. 

"You'll do what exactly? I need it to come out of your mouth to make sure that we're on the same page."

You grip her chin forcing her to look at you. 

"I'll wear the leash." She mutters under her breath. "Just come home."

You let out a squeal of delight before leaning down to kiss you. 

"I'm glad we could reach a deal. Lets go home, love."

Esdeath let out a sigh as the two of you walked hand in hand back to the empire. She still couldn't believe how you had her wrapped around your finger. It was almost pathetic but she wouldn't change a thing about it. She was so in love with you
