Aiura found it strange that you never came up to ask for your fortune. Usually whenever someone heard about her powers, they rushed to get their fortune told. You intrigued her and she wanted to get to know you better.

"Hey! You're that new girl, right? (y/n), I believe?"

You weren't surprised about the fact that she knew your name. There were hardly any new students around so word got around quite fast.

"I am. I'm afraid that I don't know your name."

"...It's Aiura. It's nice to meet you. You look a little lost, what are you looking for?"

"The office. I've been going around in circles and I just can't seem to pass by it."

"Oh! No worries. It can get a little confusing. I was just about to head down there. Come on, I'll take you."

The two of you struck a friendship after that day. By some miracle, you had ended up getting switched to her class and the two of you just got closer. For once, Aiura was actually ignoring those that asked for help just so she could talk to you.

"You can give them their fortunes if you'd like Aiura, I don't mind."

"No. I think I prefer spending my lunch break talking to you."

"Please, how can I be more interesting than seeing someone's fortune?"

"It gets boring after doing it for a while. But you know what might be interesting?"

"What?"

You asked her with some apprehension.

"If I gave you yours. It'll be fun."

"No way, Aiura. I trust you but I don't have a need to look at my fortune."

"Oh come on, just a quick peek. I won't even tell you what I saw. I just want to see what kind of fortune is about to come your way."

She held out her hand for you to take so she could read your palm. It wasn't necessary as it was all for show but she just wanted to hold your hand.

"Okay...but just a quick pick Aiura. No longer than a second."

"A second! Got it. Now give me your hand."

With a sigh, you gave your hand to read your palm. You couldn't help but hold your breath as she traced her finger across the lines in your palm. Aiura couldn't help but smile as she heard you take a shaky breath after a while.

"I actually couldn't see anything."

You quickly take your hand away after she's done. You didn't even care about the fortune after what had just happened.

"That's too bad...."

"Because I didn't take a peek. This was my lame attempt of asking you out. I wanted to do it another way but I changed my mind."

You furrow your eyebrows at her, trying to process what had just happened. You didn't even know Aiura was interested.

"You want to go out with me?"

"Yes. It's fine if you don't want to. I just had to ask. I don't think I could go another without asking you."

You take her hand without asking and pretend to read the palm of her hand like she had done to you.

"Hmm. I think I see something.."

Aiura laughs, knowing that you had caught on with what she was going to do. She decides to play along like you had done.

"And what do you see?"

"I believe I see us going out on a date this Friday?"

"I think I'm going to need you to continue to read my fortunes if this is what I get."

"Lucky for you, I can do yours for free."

"I'm indeed lucky."
