My name is Inoo Kei and I am in love with a part-time librarian at my university named Ayase Nanami. She is so beautiful and kind and wonderful. I could go on and on of how much I love her.

"Ano do you need anything?" She asked me. "You've been staring at me like you need something."

Oh and she doesn't know I exist. "Oh no not really." I replied. Idiot!! I shouted in my head.

"Okay then. See ya later." She said and continued to set up books.

The wonder in her eyes when she sees a new book and puts it on the shelf. The excitement that grows onto her face when she successfully helps someone. The happiness I get from just looking at her.

"Okay Inoo you need to ask her out!" I said in my head.

"Um excuse me but I was wondering if maybe you'd like to..." I paused as she turned around.

"Like to what?" She asked.

"N-nothing." I said.

"Okay then." She said. "Wait I remember! I was supposed to ask you something."

"What?" I asked.

"You like books don't you?" She asked.

"Yes I do actually." I answered.

"Well this library is in need of another part-timer." She told me. "So can you join. You get...um are you okay?" She asked as I realized I was staring at her practically drooling.

"Y-yes I'm o-okay. I'll do that job." I said.

"That's wonderful!" She shouted with a smile.

The next day I began the job. I was so happy to finally have a reason to talk to her. This is also and opportunity to have a personal relationship with her. I need to be bold but not too bold.

"Umm Inoo?" She asked. "Can I ask you something personal?"

"Sure what is it?" I answered.

"Well I like someone but I don't know how to tell them." She said with a bright smile.

At first my heart began to shatter but then I saw that smile and my worries melted away. She was happy...even if it's without me...she's happy. "You just need to be straight with them."

"But I'm not that cute." She said.

"Yes you are. You are plenty cute. I mean who wouldn't fall for you." I said.

"You think so..." She said.

"Of course."

"Then Inoo Kei-san please meet at the coffee shop tomorrow." She said and ran off leaving me in a daze.

"Of course I will..." I whispered.

I was so happy I laughed for a very long time when I got home. Things were finally going right for me. The one I love asked me out before I did. That's kind of funny isn't it?

"Ayase-san?" I asked.

"Ah Inoo-san!" She shouted and waved for me to sit with her. "Thank you for coming."

"How could I not come." I said.

"To tell you the truth I've liked you for a very long time. I first noticed you our freshman year when you kept looking at me from afar. I then asked another student who you were and found out about you." She said.

"I thought you didn't know I even existed." I said laughing.

"Anyway I then began to fall for your kindness and how you admired the books you picked up." She continued. "I also made up that part-time job thing." She confessed.

"Wait what?!" I exclaimed.

"I asked for a favor from one of my friends that they wouldn't come in that day." She giggled.

"So I don't come in tomorrow?"

"Nope." She giggled again.

"Geez. You're cute but crafty." I said.

"Yep." She smiled.

"You know what?" I asked.

"What?" She replied stirring her coffee.

"I love you." I whispered.

"Huh?" She asked surprised. "I love you too."

And that's how I met The Cute Librarian.
