My name is Okamoto Keito and I'm not going through a good time right now. My dad left me and my mom with no words and no money. My mom has gone crazy because of it. I feel that the world I once knew as colorful is now black and white.

"Hey watch where you're going!" I shouted at someone.

"Semimasen..." She said.

"Daijobu yo." I said and knelt down to help her pick up the stuff she dropped. "Sorry I yelled at you."

"It's okay. Thank you for helping me." She said with a smile.

The whole day that smile kept replaying in my head. Her smile began to give my world color again. It was as if her touch would make my life as colorful as a sunset. I needed to know her name.

"Excuse me but what's your name?" I asked.

"Oh I'm Ichinose Hina of class 3-A." She said.

"Oh well I'm Okamoto Keito of class 3-B. Nice to meet you." I said.

"Un nice to meet you too." She said with another smile like the one before.

"Your smile is beautiful." I said without realizing.

"T-thank you." She said as her face turned red. "No ones ever said that before. Thank you." She said and began to cry.

"Huh I'm sorry!" I shouted. "I didn't mean to make you cry."

"It's okay. These are tears of happiness not sadness." She said. "Why are you crying too?"

"Because you're giving my world color." I said.

"Huh?"

"N-nothing." I said. "I'll see you later okay. Maybe we could walk home together or something."

"Yea. That sounds nice." She smiled again.

With every smile of hers that I saw my world gained more color and happiness. More than I ever knew could come.

"Can I tell you something?" I asked.

"Sure what is it?" She asked.

"I've never had many friends and I just wanted to say thank you for bringing color back into my life." I said.

"What happened to the color before I came?" She asked.

"My mom has gone crazy since my dad left. She thinks I'll leave her too so she's paranoid. That turned my life black and white. Completely devoid of color." I explained.

"I see." She said. "Well I'm glad that I gave you color again."

"Me too." I said and smiled.

"You smiled!" She shouted. "You have a wonderful smile!"

"Thanks you do too." I said.

"Well I'll see you tomorrow."

"Yea see you tomorrow." I said.

"Who are you?" My mom asked.

"I'm Ichinose Hina. A friend of Keito-san." She said.

"I see. Well nice to meet you. I'm his mom." My mom said.

"Un nice to meet you. Bye Keito-san!" She said and walked home.

It continued like that for months and I began to develop feelings for her. Feelings that I never thought I could feel after my dad left. For the first time in years I felt true happiness and love. I had to tell her.

"Hina-chan!" I shouted as she was in front of me.

"Yea?" She answered.

"I've realized that I love you!" I said.

"You do?"

"Yes. Very much." I said. "I can't imagine what would've happened without you or what would happen in the future without you. You've filled my life with colors I'd never known before you."

"Me too." She said. "I love you too."

"You've made me the happiest person in the world." I said as I pulled her into a hug.

"You've made me the happiest too." She said.
