My name is Inoo Kei and I'm a pianist. Yesterday I met a very beautiful girl by the name of Ayase Nanami. She's also a pianist. The thing is that I know how play, it's just that I can't do it. It's a constant reminder of my deceased mother who would abuse me physically.

"Hey are you in a daze?" She asked.

"Huh?" I answered.

"Well I mean you've been staring up at the sky. Are you just happy that you've completed your first piano recital since you were 12?" She asked.

Yep I just did a recital because of this girl. She moved me to play. She practically forced me to. For the past week she's been chasing me around school. I didn't mind it too much though. I also think that I may be in love with her.

"I have a question." She began.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Well how'd you do this? I mean there have been other people forcing to play for a long time. Why'd you do it when I said?"

"Well..." I began.

Wait wait. Let's start from the beginning of how we met.

Flashback

"Inoo!" I heard my childhood Akashi Haruna call from down the hallway.

"Yea?" I answered.

"Yamada has another admirer and she wants you to meet her. I don't know why but I think she just doesn't want me to be a third wheel." She said.

"When is it?" I asked.

"Right now!" She said and pulled me all the way to the park.

"Now where is she? Inoo I'll look over here you look that way." She said.

"Okay."

As I began to walk around, I heard a piano playing. It was one of those pianos you find on the street, that random people just play. She was playing so beautifully I didn't realize that she was the girl Yamada had his eye on. Then she turned around and I saw how beautiful she was.

"Who are you?!" She shouted nervously.

"Oh, I'm Inoo Kei." I answered.

"Oh Yamada's Friend?" She asked.

"You can call him 'Friend A' but yea." Haruna came behind me and said.

"Why 'Friend A'?" I asked.

"Na-chan!!" I heard from behind me.

"Yamada!" She shouted back.

"Yay you came!" He said.

"Of course we did." My and Haru said together.

"Yabe (crap)! I need to get to my recital." She shouted and ran towards the concert hall, that I used to play in.

"Aren't you coming?" Ayase asked.

"Uh..."

"You're coming!" She said sand grabbed my hand.

I wanted to cry, all of the memories were pouring back into my mind. Only, they all disappeared when she started playing. She was so good. She didn't stick to the sheet music, she played her own song, and didn't care if the critics wouldn't let her move forward. All she wanted was to be remembered. I was taught that if you didn't stick to the sheet music exactly and win that you're a disgrace. Not her though, she's the new pianist in my life. She got me to enter a recital, and I was able to move forward in it. I screwed up a few times, since I can't really hear the notes, but I still made her happy.

End of flash back~

"What?" She asked.

"I had you!" I shouted.

"Huh? What are you saying?" She asked.

"...I...l-l-love...y-you." I said.

"I love you too!" She shouted and hugged me.

"But I thought.."

"That was a lie. I've always loved you since I was a little girl. I heard you first play when I was 7. You're the reason why I'm a pianist. I wanted to be like you." She shouted still in my arms.

"So you..."

"Yea I just wanted a way to become your friend...since I don't have much time left."

"What do you mean?"

"I have bone marrow failure." She said. "Always have always will and I don't have much time left."

"Huh?"

"But you know what. I'm going to spend every second I can with you."

"I love you." I said as I kissed her.

"I love you too."

----5 years later----

"You're going to be okay." I said to my wife on her death bed.

"N-no I'm not." She said with her breathing slowing down.

"Don't leave me."

"I'm sorry."

"NOO!"

"Move!!" The doctors said.

They tried to revive her but it didn't work. She was gone. The only person I loved was gone. Haruna left with Yamada to go to some European country. I can't get in touch with them.

"Sir?" The doctor asked.

"Yes?" I answered.

"She's okay. I don't know what happened but she's fine. 100%" he said

"Really?!"

"Yes now go see your wife. She's going to be discharged tomorrow."

"Thank you!"

"Kei! I'm alright." She shouted and wrapped her arms around me.

"You are!!" I shouted and kissed her.

I guess it's not too hard to say those three words. Good thing I said it when I had the chance.
