My name is Chinen Yuri and I am in love with my best friend but it seems that she is going through a rough time. We've been friends since we were 5 and she's always told me what's wrong but this time she's keeping it to herself. I keep on asking her what's wrong but she just shoves it off like nothing's wrong. I hear her crying in her room since we live next to each other. I decided to trust her and I stopped asking. That decision changed her fate forever.

"Hey Na-chan?" I asked knocking on her door. "I brought your favorite cake."

"..." There was no answer so I walked in.

"Na-chan?!" I shouted as I saw her on the floor next to a bottle of pills. "Wake up wake up!!" I shouted and began to carry her to the nearest hospital which was across the street.

When she woke up the next day she was angry at me. "Why are you upset with me?" I asked

"I wanted to die but you saved me." She answered.

"I don't want you to die! Why can't you talk to me! Let me know what you're going through! Let me know how to help you!" I shouted. "Do you have any idea how terrified I was?"

"Why do you care about me?"

"I've always cared about you. Always."

"Why didn't you tell me that sooner?" She said beginning to cry.

"I'm sorry. Just please tell me when something's wrong. I don't want to loose you."

"I'm going to die anyway." She said.

"What are you saying?" I asked.

"You know how my family has a history of heart disease? Well my heart isn't okay."

"What?"

"They gave me 6 months." She explained. "I didn't want to tell you because I didn't want to be treated like a sick person."

"So you thought killing yourself sooner was better?!"

"I don't know what came over me but I thought it would be easier for you to think I committed suicide than have a time limit on my life and my time with you."

"Either way I would've been sad but you killing yourself made me think it was my fault." I explained.

"Good news me Ayase Nanami." The doctor said. "You have a heart donor."

"I can live?!" She exclaimed.

"Yes you can." I said.

"Your procedure is next week so I suggest you go home now." The doctor said.

"I'll take you home." I offered.

"You're giving me your heart aren't you?" She asked.

"I already have idiot." I kissed her. "Physically and emotionally."

"But I don't want to live without you."

"Neither do I. I've been healthy all my life. You've been sick all you life so let me this once make you healthy."

"But I don't want your heart. Let me pass please. I can't live knowing I killed you. Knowing that I stole your life for my own."

"You didn't steal it I gave it to you."

"I'm not going to have your heart. Not in a million years."

"It's too late. You can't be picky with these things." I explained. "I love you so I want to help you."

"You've already saved my life once why do it again?"

"I already said it. I love you."

Those were the last words I heard from him. I am now getting the heart transplant that I've been waiting a year for. He said to keep living and I'll try to do that.

"Chinen?!" I exclaimed as I saw him in front of me. "I though you were..."

"They found another heart for you." He said.

"I love you too!" I shouted as I said it for the first time.

"I know."
