My name is Chinen Yuri. I'm pretty popular, but this girl is always with me. I would consider her a friend, but a frienemy.

"Hey you four eyes!" I shouted to her.

"I have a name you know. It's Tachibana Yuki. (I'm not calling you this laurel I just needed someone with glasses. I love you and I would never call you this)." She said about to slap me.

"Whatever. Let's just go to class." I said walking to our Japanese language class.

"Okay."

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"What do you mean?"

"Wait you haven't heard?"

"Heard what?"

"Well it seems that someone has started nasty rumors about you, and me." I said.

"What rumors?"

"That...we slept at each others house...if you know what I mean. Also because of it they say that you are pregnant."

"But we didn't, I'm not. Who started it?" She asked about to cry.

"That bastard Yamada." I said pointing to my once best friend.

"How do you know?"

"Because he told it to my face like it didn't hurt."

"But aren't you guys good friends?"

"We used to be, but not anymore."

"But that means you don't have anymore friends."

"I consider you my friend." I said.

"Then why are you so mean to me."

"Because it makes you laugh and get all defensive, which is really cute to me."

"Really?"

"Yep. Now stand back there while I deal with the person that made my friend cry." I said walking towards him, balling my fist, and preparing to throw a punch.

"Hey Chinen." He said.

"How dare you say horrible things about my..."
I paused wondering what she was to me.

"Your what? The carrier of your child."

"Shut the hell up! You have no room to say anything! I bet you're the father of the whole school!" I shouted throwing punches.

"At least I'm the father of the pretty children, unlike you."

"Shut up! She's beautiful and when she has a child, it will be the most beautiful child ever!"

"Oh really then? Just stop this already. I'll tell the whole school it was a rumor, just don't mess up my face. Geez." He said and walked off.

I let him go because Yuki needed me more right now. As I turned around she was crying. I immediately went over and hugged her.

"Did you really mean all of those things?" She asked with tears in her eyes.

"...yes...every single word." I answered.

"I'm in love with you. I don't know if that makes me a masochist or not, but I do love you a lot." She said as she kissed me.

"I love you too, and I'll stop making fun of you." I said.

"Okay. Also, I've been getting bullied because I'm hanging around you, but instead of that tearing me down, you have helped to build me up and make me laugh. In other words, I wanted to mill myself, but I didn't because I wanted to tell you I loved you." She said.

"Please don't ever think of killing yourself ever again. I don't know what I'd do without you."

"I won't don't worry. I have a question."

"What is it?" I asked.

"Can...I actually...visit your house?" She asked.

"Sure. It won't be much since I live alone though." I said.

"That's okay. I live alone too."

"Okay well, after school meet me by the school gate." I said.

After school I waited at the gate, for a long time. I kept wondering where she was, and then I saw her in the roof about to jump. I was too late to go up, so I just thought I would catch her.

"Please don't jump!!!!" I shouted to her.

"Why not? They said that you were lying to me." She said.

"Why would I ever lie to you! I love you more than anything in this world!!! I won't be able to live without you!!" I shouted.

"That's what they said you would say."

"Oh really? Then Jump, if I catch you, I'm telling the truth. If I don't, then I'm lying to you." I said.

"Okay. Either way I'm going to die."

"Not true. I won't let it." I said as I caught her.

"You caught me?"

"Of course I did. I love you, and I don't want to loose you."

"Can I go to your house now?" She said crying.

"Of course. Let's go."

After that day we were no longer frenemies. We loved each other, enough to die for each other.
