My name is Arioka Daiki and I am a senior in high school. My best friend, Akashi Haruna, is dating the most popular guy in school. He's the classic fall on your face handsome and very athletic. I keep telling her that he isn't trustworthy and is only after one thing but she doesn't believe me.

"Dai-chan what's up!" She shouted running towards me.

"Why don't you believe me?" I asked. "What's this?!" I shouted as I saw bruises on her arms.

"It's nothing..." She whispered.

"It is something. Who did this to you?! I swear Imma kill them!" I shouted.

"My boyfriend did it but please don't hurt him? He's been going through a lot and he snapped. He immediately apologized to me." She begged.

"If you go back to him you won't have me to call a friend anymore." I said.

"Dai-chan..."

"Why can't you trust someone who's known you since you were born. If you don't believe me or trust me then our friendship is trash." I declared. "Choose. A playboy who's punched you or me. Your best friend for 17 years who wouldn't think of raising a hand to you?" I asked. "I can treat you better than him! I would take much better care of you than he does!"

"Goodbye then..." She said and walked off pretending not to hear the last part.

"I had hoped you wouldn't do that but I guess you weren't who I thought you were." I said. "Have fun with your good-for-nothing cheating boyfriend."

Haruna's POV
After that I decided to go see my boyfriend. When I walked in my heart was shattered.

"Who's this..." I whispered as I saw him kissing another girl.

"Did you really think I would stay with you for more than 3 months?" He asked walking towards me.

"Get away from me!!" I shouted but was grabbed by him.

"I still haven't said what I wanted to yet." He said and pushed me up against the wall. "I have been very stressed lately and I don't think I can hold in my anger anymore." He shouted and slapped me.

"No!! Dai-chan!!! Help me!!" I shouted.

Dai-chan's POV
I was worried about her so I decided to pass by her boyfriends house. When I passed by I heard a scream. It was calling for me. I immediately ran inside and responded to her.

"Get your hands off her!!" I shouted and pulled the guy off her.

"Dai-chan..." She whispered weakly.

"Maybe you could be my punching bag." The guy said and tried to punch me.

"Better luck next time chump." I said and punched him back.

"Go to hell..." He whispered and fell to the ground.

"Are you okay?!" I shouted as I saw Haruna faint.

"...I'm sorry." She said and passed out.

I decided to bring her to our tree house. That's the only place we felt safe and able to talk. We would always go there until that guy began to take her away from me.

"Dai-chan..." She whispered.

"Hey." I said and rubbed her forehead.

"I love you..." She said and kissed me.

"I love you too." I said and kissed her back.

"Hey you!" The guy shouted and came into the tree house.

"What are you doing here?!" I shouted and covered Haruna with my body.

"I'm here to take my revenge!" He shouted and began to punch and kick me.

"Get away from him..." Haruna whispered.

"Why? What are you going to do?" He said mocking her.

"I said stop!" She shouted and kicked him hard enough to send him flying out the window.

"Woa..." I said surprised. "I didn't know you were that strong."

"I work out sometimes." She said weakly.

"Thank you. Now you need to rest." I said and pulled blankets over her.

"Can you lay down with me and hug me?" She asked. 

"I don't know. You did break my heart." I said jokingly.

"I know I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?" She asked.

"How couldn't I? I love you. I'll lay down with you." I said and hugged her. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight..." She said and fell asleep.
