"You're going to do a magic trick?" Parrish asked as Sawyer sat down next to him and Lydia sat down in front of his desk at the station. "Not necessarily. But you kind are." Sawyer said as she messed with a lighter. 

"I only know one trick, and it's with a playing card." Parrish said and Lydia shrugged, "Well, this one involves a lighter and your hand." Lydia said as Sawyer flicked the lighter on, making Parrish raise his eyebrows. "This is sounding less like a magic trick and more like assault." He said and Sawyer nodded, "It's kinda dangerous, yeah. But it's not as bad as being lit on fire in a Deputy Sheriff's car..." She trailed off and Lydia nodded. 

"Which, by the way, you walked away from unscathed." Lydia said and Parrish pointed at her, "Not entirely! I had to pay for the uniform." He said and Sawyer hummed slightly. "Aw, poor thing. Give me your hand." She said and he held out his hand, "I think I've seen something like this in a movie." He said. 

"Lawrence of Arabia." Lydia said and Sawyer nodded as she held the lighter under Parrish's hand, "Remind me what the trick was?" He asked. "I'm going to burn you and you're not gonna pay any mind to it." She said nonchalantly before flicking the lighter on. 

He held his hand over the flame for a few seconds before quickly pulling away. "Ow! Son of a-" He said while the girls laughed and looked at each other. "Oh come on, even I could last longer than that and I have zero fire tolerance." Sawyer said and Lydia nodded in agreement. 

"This time, do something different. Don't think about the flame. Don't think about the heat. Don't think about it hurting. Don't even look at it." Lydia said and Parrish nodded, "Okay." He said before sighing and holding his hand out over the lighter. 

A small flame appeared on her palm and Parrish stared past Sawyer, paying no mind to the flame burning his hand. Which smoke was coming off of. Sawyer glanced at Lydia who looked at her as well before they looked back at Parrish. 

When she looked at him, she started hearing a bunch of whispers that she was having a hard time understanding. She waited a moment before pulling the light away, making Parrish snap out of whatever trance he was and look at her slightly alarmed, "Why'd you stop?" He asked and she shrugged slightly as she sat back. 

"It was getting too hot." She said, making him look at her before looking down at his hand. On the palm of his hand was a giant black smug and when he wiped some of it away the skin underneath was completely fine. "Did it hurt?" Lydia asked and Parrish shook his head slightly making Sawyer hum. 

"Your eyes kind of drifted. What were you thinking about?" Sawyer asked making Parrish look at her, "A dream." He said and Lydia raised her eyebrows. "What dream?" She asked and he sighed softly. "I've had it here and there for about six months. I'm walking in the woods, carrying a body... But it's completely burned. I can't see who it is or who it was." He explained and Sawyer nodded slightly. 

"Where are you taking it?" She asked, "A clearing. There's a huge tree in the middle of it. You'd think it was a thousand years old... But it's been cut down. It's just a stump." Parrish said, making Lydia and Sawyer look at each other for a moment. "It's real. It's a real tree, in a real part of Beacon Hills. It used to be the center of a grove of trees called a Nemeton." Lydia said and Sawyer nodded while Parrish furrowed his brows. 

"What's a Nemeton?" He asked and Sawyer sighed, "A sacred meeting place for Celtic Druids. They were scientists and healers thousands of years ago." Sawyer said and Parrish shook his head slightly, "I've never seen this place." He said and Sawyer nodded slowly as she sat forward. 

"But that's why you're here- it drew you here. That's what it does. It's a beacon for supernatural creatures. It can even make us more powerful. What else happens?" Sawyer asked, seeming very intrigued by all of this as Parrish stood up. "I put the body down. I... I lay it down on the rings of the tree, and..." He trailed off making the girls raise their eyebrows. 

"What?" Lydia asked and Parrish shook his head slightly, "Nothing... That's it. That's the end of the dream." He said and Sawyer sighed softly as sat back again. 

"I think I've been having similar dreams." She said as she glanced at Lydia who already knew about them before looking at Parrish. "I don't see you, I'm not there, I just see the Nemeton surrounded by bodies... I thought I was still having PTSD nightmares from the sacrifice and the Nogitsune..." Sawyer explained as Parrish sat back down. 

"Whatever you are... I think we have a supernatural connection like Lydia and I do." Sawyer said, glancing at Lydia before looking at Parrish, "We need to figure out what it is." 

🎭 

Scott, Stiles, Theo and Deaton all ran into the station the first thing they noticed was the smear of blood and then Deputy Clarke helping Stilinski up. Scott rushed over to help while Stiles followed the blood to find Sawyer, Kira and Lydia. 

Sawyer glanced up to see Stiles staring at them wide eyes when Theo noticed and ran over, taking his belt off in the process. He got down next to Sawyer and got his belt around Lydia's waist before pulling it tight, making Lydia groan in pain and grab Sawyer's hands. 

"Stiles, come on." Scott said and Stiles glanced at him before looking back at Lydia and Sawyer. "Go, they're in the basement." Sawyer said and Stiles nodded before following Scott.

"Sawyer." Melissa said as she walked up to them making them turn around, "How bad is it?" Sawyer asked. "Could have been worse. Theo, nice going on that tourniquet. You probably saved her life." Melissa said, making Sawyer look over at Theo for a moment. 

"All right. She's about to go into surgery, so it's going to be a while. Any other supernatural details that I need to know about, or do we just stitch her up and hope for the best?" Melissa asked, glancing at everyone. "It was the tail." Kira said, making Melissa look over at her and Scott nodded, "Yeah, Tracy cut her with the tail, if that makes a difference." He said and Melissa nodded. 

"Okay." She said before walking off while Malia looked at Scott and Stiles. "But it wasn't just Tracy. There were the others- the guys in the masks." Malia said and Sawyer looked at her confused, "Men in masks?" 

🎭 

Laying in a hospital bed, Lydia woke up and glanced around to see Sawyer, Parrish and Anakin sitting in chairs next to her. Sawyer had her legs up on Parrish as he flipped through channels on the TV while Anakin laid across Sawyer's legs. "What are you guys doing here?" Lydia asked making them look at her, "Worrying about my girlfriend while I wait for her to wake up." Sawyer said. 

"Officially, I'm here to gather eyewitness testimony. Unofficially, I'm trying to find something to watch... But the only thing that comes in is this kung-fu movie. You guys like kung-fu movies?" Parrish asked and Sawyer chuckled, "Stiles and I used to watch them so much time the point we knew the moves by name." She said and Lydia stared at the TV for a moment during a fighting scene. 

"Do you guys know how to do that?" She asked and Parrish shrugged slightly, "I know a little ju-jitsu. In the Army, they taught us CQC- close quarters combat." He said and Sawyer nodded. "Yeah, I learned a little during my self-defense training." Sawyer said. 

"Can you teach me?" Lydia asked making Sawyer look at her with raised eyebrows, "You want to learn ju-jitsu? Hand-to-hand?" She asked and Lydia nodded slightly. "I want to learn how to fight. Can you teach me?" She asked and Sawyer nodded, "Yeah, totally." She said as she grabbed Lydia's hand, intertwining their fingers, making Lydia smile at her. 

"I can help if you need any." Parrish said and Sawyer squinted at him, "I wanna kick your ass." She said, making him chuckle and nod, "I'd like to see you try." He said and she nodded slightly. 

"I'm gonna kick your ass one day." 

🎭 

"Did you get in to see Lydia?" Scott asked as Stiles, Sawyer, Anakin and Malia ran over to him in the library. "She's still in the ICU, and no one outside family is allowed in except an officer but Parrish managed to sneak me in earlier. She's doing okay." Sawyer said and Scott nodded as Malia set the bestiary on the table. 

"Anything in here about half-werewolves, half-Kanimas?" Kira asked as she started flipping through pages, "The Chimera." Scott said, making Stiles look at him confused. "Uh, what?" He asked and Scott looked up at him, "Chimera. It's a creature made of incongruous parts." Scott said and Sawyer nodded slightly. "AP Bio?" She asked and Scott nodded, "Yeah and if Liam said he found two burial sites, it means Tracy's not the only one."  

"Who's the second Chimera?" Kira asked, glancing at all of them, "And why would they bury them?" Stiles asked. "Deaton thinks it's part of their process." Scott said and Malia nodded slightly, "The people in masks." She said and they all glanced at each other. 

🎭 

Stiles, Sawyer, Anakin and Malia all sat in the library, reading a bunch of books ranging from textbooks to mythology books. Well- Sawyer and Malia were reading, Stiles was passed out with his face pressed against a book. 

"Hey, I'm gonna take off." Malia said as she started grabbing her stuff, making Sawyer look up from her book about Wendigos. "Want me to drive you home?" Sawyer asked and Malia shook her head, "No, there's something I want to do first." Malia said as she stood up before looking at Stiles. 

"Stiles, wake up and go home. I'll meet you there in a bit." Malia said and Stiles just let out a couple mumbles, "Can you take Anakin with you? It's way past his dinner time and he could use a walk and I don't know how long we're gonna be here." Sawyer asked and Malia nodded. "Yeah." She said and grabbed Anakin's leash, making him get up, "Come on." She said before walking away while Sawyer thanked her. 

Sawyer went back to her book for a little while before sighing softly and sitting up. She started to pack up all the books on the table before pulling the book Stiles was laying on, out from under him, making him quickly wake up. "Come on, it's almost nine." Sawyer said as he shook himself awake slightly. 

A few minutes later, they walked outside and Stiles went over to the jeep while Sawyer went to her car. Sawyer sat in her car for a moment as she texted Lydia back before she started hearing the sound of the jeep breaking down, making her look up to see the engine smoking, making her sigh. 

"And this is why I say you need to let me fix it." She said as she got out and Stiles nodded, "Yeah, yeah. I'll get your tool box." He said before walking over to the back while she opened the hood. She sighed I'm disappointment when she saw all the duct tape, before giving her brother a dirty look as he walked over to her. 

"You know, I thought we agreed you wouldn't use duct tape anymore when I first got my job." Sawyer said and Stiles just playfully mocked her, making her roll her eyes as she grabbed a tool from the box. She started getting to work until her eyes clouded over and she saw flashes of Stiles yelling in pain when someone grabbed his shoulder and flashes of him climbing the scaffolding in the library. 

Once her eyes went back to normal, she looked up at her brother before noticing Donovan walking up to him. Donavan raised his hand, revealing what looked like a circular mouth with sharp teeth on the palm of his hand, making her eyes widen. 

"Stiles!" She yelled but before she or him could do anything, Donovan grabbed Stiles' shoulder, making him yell out in pain.
