Chapter Forty-Seven
🦊 Insatiable 🦊

cott walked into his room where Stiles laid on the bed as Melissa checked him over. "Is she here?" Stiles asked as he sat up and Scott nodded, "Yeah." He said. "Okay, let's do this." Stiles said, making Scott and Melissa glanced at each other warily, not liking the plan, "Guys, we have to do this."  

Scott and Melissa helped Stiles downstairs where Noshiko stood in the middle of the living room. "Do you recognize me?" She asked and Stiles nodded slightly and went to walk forward but Kira ran in, "Stop!" She said.  

"It's okay. I'm the one who asked her to come. I just want to make sure what Sawyer said is right." Stiles said and she shook her head slightly, "You're the one who's going to get stabbed with swords." Kira said before turning to her mother. "Mom, don't do this to him." Kira said, "It's already done." Noshiko said and then a couple Oni suddenly appeared.  

They charged over to Stiles and one of the Oni grabbed Stiles by the side of his head like they did to everyone else. They stood there for a moment until the Oni let Stiles go, letting him fall to the ground as they stepped away before disappearing.  

"Look behind his ear." Noshiko said and Scott crouched down next to Stiles and turned his head to see the backwards five behind his ear. "It worked." He said, "So, I'm actually me?" Stiles asked and Scott helped him sit up a bit. "You are, but you should be worried about your sister." Noshiko said and Stiles looked at her, "Can the Oni find her?" He asked and she shook her head slightly.  

"Tomorrow night. It's too close to dawn now." She said and he nodded slightly, "Will they kill her?" He asked.  "Depends on how strong a Nogitsune is with a Clairvoyant's powers." Noshiko said and Scott looked at her, "What about Lydia? Why would they take her?" He asked.  

"The Nogitsune would only take her for an advantage." She said, making Scott raise his eyebrows, "You mean her power?" He asked and Noshiko nodded.  

"The power of a Banshee combined with Sawyer's powers."

Lydia sat on the ground in some tunnels before she heard a distant scream making her flinch slightly. She got up, walking around slightly and leaning her head against the walls as all she could hear was the sound of people screaming. 

"Can you hear them?" Someone asked, making her quickly spin around to see Sawyer walking down the tunnel. Although now, Sawyer had an overall darker vibe about herself. Her eyes seemed duller, but yet full of mischief and she almost always had a smug, sinister smirk on her face. 

"Louder than usual, isn't it? Well, that's because a lot of bad things happened down here." Sawyer- or Void Sawyer said as Lydia quickly started walking down the tunnel away from her. "What are the voices telling you? Are they saying that Sawyer is gonna die?" Sawyer said as she slowly followed Lydia. 

"She will, you know... I've seen it. A supernatural creature like Sawyer isn't meant for possession. Her powers protect her mind and now her mind has been threatened. Her powers will do any means necessary to get rid of the threat, even if it kills her in the process." Sawyer said as Lydia turned a corner. 

"Then what do you need me for? You think I can tell you something?" Lydia yelled as she ran up to a locked metal gate while Sawyer chuckled darkly. "Oh, I know you can." Sawyer said, "I'm not telling you anything!" Lydia yelled. 

"You won't have to-" Sawyer said, making Lydia spin around to find Sawyer standing in front of her, "You'll be screaming." Sawyer said in a slight whisper.

Sawyer sat on the tiled floor of the large white room, her back against the Nemeton. All the lights in the room were off except for the one directly above her and the Nemeton. Her knees pressed up against her chest while her hands were gripping her hair as she winced in pain. 

There were countless, never ending whispers all around her. Some sounded like they were miles away while others sounded like they were right by her ears. 

Sawyer squeezed her eyes shut as the whispered got louder, until she suddenly started to understand what they were saying. She furrowed her brows slightly while lowering her hands down as she paid attention to the whispers.

After a moment, she took a deep breath before slowly looking up as she continued to listen.

"Ah, if I could just find my keys..." Stilinski muttered as he stood up and grabbed his jacket. "In your coffee cup." Someone said, making him look up to see Stiles and Scott in the doorway, "You always drop them in your empty cup." Stiles said.  

Stilinski looked at Scott who nodded, making him sigh in relief before quickly running over to his son. He instantly pulled him into a tight hug, "Hey, Dad." Stiles said before they pulled away as Scott walked into the room.  

"Where's Sawyer?" Stilinski asked, as he glanced around, making Stiles and Scott sigh softly as they glanced at each other. "That's what we need to talk to you about..." Stiles said, making his father furrow his brows before the boyd started explaining everything. 

"We got an APB out on Lydia's car- every unit on the road is looking for her and Sawyer." Stilinski said walking back into his office making Scott and Stiles look up at him, "Isn't there anything else that we could do?" Scott asked and Stilinski shook his head. "At this hour? No, not really."  

"Why would Sawyer even volunteer to get possessed. And why would she take Lydia?" Stilinski asked and Stiles shook his head slightly, "He took them for a reason, Dad. Look, if we can figure out the 'why', then we'll figure out the 'where'. Stiles says and Stilinski nodded and looked around making sure no one was listening, "What would a Nogitsune need with a Banshee and possessing a Clairvoyant?" He asked.  

"I don't know, Lydia's pretty good at finding dead bodies and Sawyer can see the future. Maybe he needs to find a body and he probably wants the power to see what's going to happen." Stiles suggested. "Scott, you know more about this than all of us-" Stilinski said, making Scott's eyes widen slightly, "Me?"  

"You said you heard the whole story from Noshiko?"  

"Yeah, but that happened during World War II, like seventy years ago." Scott said and Stiles looked up in realization, "Wait. What did you say?" He asked. "Noshiko told me about the internment camp." Scott started to say but Stiles cut him off, "No, before that. You said "the whole story..." 

"Yeah... What is it?" Scott asked. "There's a girl at Eichen House... Her name's Meredith. I think she might be able to help."

"They'll find me... My friends are going to find me..." Lydia mumbled as she walked down the stairs to another gate. She pushed and pulled but it didn't budge, making her groan in frustration. "You think so? I myself was kind of wondering what they're doing right now..." Sawyer said sitting at the top of the stairs. 

"What useless lead they're chasing? I wonder if maybe some of them have bigger problems to deal with right now? Are they really spending every minute looking for you or for Sawyer? Or... Are they waiting for nightfall? Focused on some hopeless gesture to pass the time?" Sawyer said and Lydia closed her eyes before turning around. 

"What do you want?" Lydia asked, looking up at Sawyer, "More." She said, standing up making Lydia squint at her. "More what?" She asked, "The trickster stories are all about food, Lydia- the Coyote, the Raven, the Fox... They're all hungry. I'm the same." She said, slowly walking down the stairs, making Lydia turn back to the gate. 

"I just crave something a little different... I eat what you feel." Sawyer said, leaning in towards Lydia, making her flinch slightly, "And I am insatiable." She said in a slight whisper.

After finding Meredith at the High School, Scott, Stiles and Meredith walked into Scott's house to see Isaac sitting in a chair and Agent McCall standing next to him. "What are you doing here?" Scott asked and McCall shrugged slightly, "I could ask you the same thing." He said. 

"Free period. We're doing group study." Stiles said and McCall nodded slightly towards Meredith, "Who's she?" He asked. "She's my girlfriend..." Stiles said while awkwardly wrapping his arm around Meredith's shoulders, "You're not my type." Meredith said, making a face making Stiles squint slightly. 

"Well, obviously, we have a lot to talk about... We should maybe take this upstairs?" Stiles suggested, "He's my type." Meredith said looking at Isaac who looked up at them with wide eyes. "Okay... Isaac, you can come, too." Stiles said before giving Isaac a look to follow them up the stairs while McCall stopped Scott. 

"Lydia? You mean, the red-haired girl." Meredith asked and Stiles nodded, "Yes, and Sawyer, my sister. Now, all you gotta do is tell us where they are." He said. "Okay... If Lydia tells me." Meredith asked, making Stiles and Isaac glance at each other, "If she tells you? Can you ask her?" Isaac asked and Meredith smiled. 

"I already did." 

"Perfect. Perfect! What did she say?" Stiles asked, "She said... they don't want to be found." Meredith said, making them sighed slightly and look at each other. "That's good, too... Okay..." Stiles said as he nodded slowly before grabbing Isaac's shoulder and pulling him into the bathroom. 

"I'm just saying..." Isaac started to say after a few minutes of talking but Stiles cut him off, "Isaac, we're not going to torture her." Stiles said. "I meant scare her-" Isaac said and Stiles gave him a look, "We're not going to psychologically torture her." Stiles and Isaac nodded. 

"Fine. How about this- you said she hears things, right?" Isaac asked and Stiles nodded, "Doesn't that mean she's like Lydia? A Banshee?" He asked and they went back over to Meredith. 

"Okay, just try to focus on the sounds around you...On what you're hearing... Just focus on the silence." Stiles said crouched down in front of Meredith in Scott's room. "Listen to the silence..." Isaac said. "Focusing on the silence..." Stiles and Isaac nodded, "Listening to the-" He said. 

"Okay, will you just let me handle this, Isaac? Please? I just- I have more experience with Banshees." Stiles said, cutting Isaac off, making Isaac purse his lips and nod, "Yeah, and mental patients..." He muttered, making Stiles glare at him. "Isn't anyone going to get that?" Meredith asked making them look at her confused, "Get what?" 

"The phone." 

"What phone?" Stiles asked and Isaac hit his shoulder, "The phone." He said, giving Stiles a look while Meredith gestured to his pocket. "Oh, the phone! My phone, yes..." He said pulling his phone out, bringing it up to his ear, "Hello? Yes, she's actually sitting right here..." He then handed it to her, "It's for you." 

She took it and held it up to her ear for a few seconds before handing it back to Stiles, "They say "coup de foudre." She said, making Stiles look at her confused. "Coup de- what? What is that, Spanish?" He asked. "French." Scott said standing in the doorway making them turn to him, "It's French. I know where they are." He said. 

"We're in Oak Creek." Someone said, making them all look over at the side of the room, to see Sawyer standing there. "Sawyer?" Stiles asked, quickly getting up and walking over to his sister, "I see you're okay." Sawyer said. Stiles went to grab her arms but his hands went right through her, making him furrow his brows while she sighed softly. 

"Obviously, I'm not actually here. I'm technically in your heads, it's a form of astral projection that Psychics can do." Sawyer said and the guy looked at her confused. "How did you learn to do that?" Scott asked, making her glance at him, "I'm trapped inside my own mind in a way. And inside my mind, the voice I hear on a daily basis is louder." She said. 

"I started to actually listen to them and told me how to use my abilities and what I can do with them... But that's not the only thing they told me..." She said, making her brother look at her confused, "What else did they say?" He asked and she sighed softly. 

"The supernatural that I am isn't supposed to be possessed. Given permission or not. My powers protect my mind and possession threatens it. My own mind can kill me while to get rid of the Nogitsune... I'm slowly dying the longer I'm possessed." Sawyer said, making them all glance at each other.

Lydia watched as Sawyer's eyes clouded over before slowly going back to normal and she took a deep breath. "You're nervous, aren't you?" Lydia asked, noticing the look on Sawyer's face. "You know they're coming. You know they're going to kill you the moment we separate you from Sawyer." She taunted with a smirk, making Sawyer chuckled, and grabbed the fence leaning in closer to Lydia. 

"Well, that's exactly why I'm keeping you so close..." She whispered, making Lydia's eyes widen slightly.

"We've done this before, guys. A couple of weeks ago, we were standing around, just like this, and we saved Malia. Remember? That was a total stranger- this is Lydia and Sawyer." Scott said as he, Allison, Isaac, Stiles and Kira stood in front of the entrance of Oak Creek. "I'm here to save my best friend." Allison said and Scott nodded, "So am I." He said. 

"I just didn't feel like doing any homework." Isaac said, making them all look at him for a moment before walking in. 

"Kira, turn around and go home. Take your friends with you." Her mom said, the Oni standing behind her. "I can't. When I looked at the game, I realized who I was actually playing- you." She said while Scott and Stiles ran off into the tunnels. "They're here. This way." Scott said, running down the tunnel, Stiles quickly following. 

"Call them off." Allison said as she raised her bow and arrow, pointing it at the Oni and Noshiko, "You think you could take her alive? You think you can save her?" She asked. "What if we can?" Kira asked and Noshiko shook her head slightly, "I tried something like it seventy years ago. Your friend is gone." She said and Kira raised her eyebrows.  

"Are you sure? Or if Sawyer or Stiles doesn't have to die, maybe Rhys didn't have to die, either?" Kira said and the Oni spun their swords around while getting into a fighting stance. "I see I'm no longer the Fox now, Kira- you are. But, the Nogitsune is still my demon to bury." Noshiko said before the Oni disappeared in black smoke. 

"They're here! And I don't need to scream to know that they're going to kill you once we get Sawyer back..." Lydia said after Sawyer trapped them into a room. "Good! Because that's exactly why I brought you." Sawyer said before pulling out Noshiko's tail that's used to control the Oni, "I needed to know when they'd be close enough- when my own death was closing in-" Sawyer said then five puffs of black smoke formed all around the room. 

Lydia backed up against the wall of the room as the Oni took out their ninjatōs, pointing them at Sawyer. "Cause only when they're close, can I do this-" Sawyer said before breaking the tail. 

All of the sudden, Noshiko flinched slightly as gasped before looking down at her hand where there was a dying firefly.  "Mom." Kira said while Isaac furrowed his brows, "What is that? What does that mean?" Isaac asked. 

"It means there's been a change in ownership..." Someone said, making them turn around to see Sawyer with all the Oni behind her. "Now, they belong to me." She said and the Oni got into a fighting stance before running at the pack.

"No, no, no, no... Why are you here?" Lydia asked as Scott and Stiles ran up to the door of the room, opening it. "We're here for you-" Stiles said Lydia shook her head, "You weren't supposed to be here! You didn't get my message?" 

"Lydia, what's happening?" 

"Who else is here? Who came with you? Who else is here?" Lydia asked as a tear fell down her cheek, a fearful look on her face making Scott and Stiles look at each other. 

Isaac dodged a couple slashes from an Oni, before it pushed him back against some barrels. It went to slam its sword down on him before Allison ran up, blocking the sword with her bow then smacking the oni with it. Isaac quickly got up as Kira forcefully kicked an Oni away from her before blocking its sword with hers a few times. 

"How do we stop them?" Isaac asked, glancing back at Noshiko, "You can't!" She said before an Oni ran up and slashed its sword across Isaac's stomach. Another ran up and both Oni kept repeatedly slashing their swords at Isaac, making him fall to his knees. 

Allison tried to shoot an arrow at them but it did nothing as they continued slashing at Isaac. Void Sawyer leaned against the wall, watching everything go down with a pleased smile on her face. Off to the side, stood Sawyer, astral projecting, a fearful look on her face as she watched. 

Allison nocked her last arrow, aiming at the Oni as Isaac started to fall down. Allison released the arrow making the Oni freeze slightly as the arrow embedded itself in the Oni's chest. The Oni dropped its sword as its wound started to glow a bright neon green color.  

Everything suddenly shook as the Oni basically exploded in a cloud of black smoke. Void Sawyer suddenly stood up straighter as her eyes widened until all of a sudden Oni ran up to Allison, stabbing it's sword through her abdomen. 

Lydia, Scott and Stiles ran down the tunnels, Scott running way ahead of the other two, when Lydia suddenly stopped. She grabbed onto the wall as her eyes widened, "ALLISON!!" She suddenly screamed, making Stiles' eyes widen. 

Scott ran up to the gate as the Oni ripped the sword away and his eyes widened. "Allison!" He yelled, running over to her before she could fall to the ground.  

"Did you find her? Is she okay? Is Lydia safe?" Allison asked, breathing heavily and Scott nodded, "She's okay... yeah..." He said before grabbing her hand. "I can't... I can't take your pain..." He said and Allison shook her head and smiled weakly at him, "It's because it doesn't hurt." She said.  

"No..." Scott whispered weakly and Allison smiled at him, "It's okay-" She said and he shook his head. "Allison..." He said as a tear fell down Allison's face, "It's okay. It's okay. It's okay. It's perfect. I'm in the arms of my first love... The first person I ever loved... The person I'll always love... I love you... Scott... Scott McCall..." Allison said and Scott shook his head.  

"Don't! Please, don't. Allison, don't, please..." Scott cried and Allison's eyes widened slightly, "You have to tell my dad. You have to tell my dad. Tell him-" Allison struggled to say before breathing heavily. 

Argent ran up before slowing to a stop when he saw Allison's body in Scott's arms. His eyes widened as he stumbled slightly, bracing himself up against something. 

Astral projection Sawyer watched with tears falling down her face. The whispers in her head suddenly got louder and she paused for a moment as she listened to them. She slowly looked up, a determined look on her face as she looked over at her physical self that was walking away. She took a deep breath before slowly disappearing.
