"Call it again." Scott said as he looked around his room, making Stiles and Sawyer sigh. "It's not here. Okay, so you lost your phone. Why don't you just get a new one?" Stiles asked, "I can't afford a new one, and I can't do this alone. We have to find Derek." Scott said and Sawyer looked at him slightly offended.

"Well, A) you're not alone, you have us; and B) didn't you say Derek walked into gunfire? He sounds pretty dead." Sawyer said as Scott still looked all around his room. "Argent's plan was to use him to get to the Alpha. They're not gonna kill him." He said and Stiles nodded slightly.

"All right, so then, just let them do what they're planning, you know? They use Derek to find Peter, problem solved." Stiles said as Scott tossed clothes out of his bathroom before walking out. "Not if Peter's going after Allison to find Derek! I can't protect her on my own, which means we either find Derek first. Just- just help me!" Scott said as he anxiously looked around while Sawyer laughed when a ball hit Stiles' head.

"You know, you probably lost it when you two were fighting. You remember that? When he was trying to kill you? After you interrupted him trying to kill Jackson? Are you starting to see a pattern of violent behavior here?" Sawyer asked and Scott stopped for a moment, "He wasn't going to kill anyone. And I'm not letting him die." He said and Stiles sighed.

"Could you at least think about letting him die? For me?" Stiles asked before Scott suddenly turned his head when he heard a car pull up. "What?" Stiles asked, "My mom just got home from work." He said and listened for a moment before sighing softly making Sawyer raise her eyebrows. "Is she okay?" Sawyer asked and Scott shook his head slightly, "What's she doing?" She asked.

"Crying." Scott said, making Stiles and Sawyer glance at each other as Scott walked over to sit next to Sawyer on the bed. "Scott, you can't protect everyone." Stiles said, making Scott look up at him.

"I have to."

Sawyer slammed Jackson's locker shut making Jackson roll his eyes as they stood around the locker room, along with Anakin. "You want me to take her to the formal?" Jackson asked, looking at Scott incredulously, "I don't want you to- I need you to." Scott said and Jackson just gave him a look.

"Screw you. You know what? Screw you, too. In fact, screw each other." Jackson said, glancing back and forth between Scott, Sawyer and Stiles, making Sawyer raise her eyebrows. "Careful there Jackson, you almost sound homophobic." Sawyer said, leaning against a locker with her arms crossed, making Jackson roll his eyes, "Hey, you know he saved your life, right?" Stiles asked.

"He left me for dead." Jackson said and Scott looked at him offended, "I got shot for you." He said and Jackson raised his eyebrows. "Oh, yeah? Show me the bullet wound." Jackson said and Scott sighed, "You know it healed." He said and Jackson hummed. "Convenient." He said, making Sawyer give him a look, "Seriously?"

"Just do it for Allison, okay? She's in serious danger- I'm talking around-the-clock danger. She needs someone to keep an eye on her at the dance." Scott said and Jackson shook his head slightly, "Have her dad do it, okay? He's the one actually equipped to handle this." He said and Scott gave him a look.

"How am I supposed to do that and keep him from finding out about me?" Scott asked and Jackson shrugged, "Not my problem." He said and went to walk away but Scott held his arm out, blocking Jackson. "You're her friend, too. You are. All that time that you spent with her to get to me? You can't tell me that you didn't get to know her and like her. It's Allison- it's impossible not to like her. You can't tell me that you don't care if she gets hurt." Scott said and Jackson squinted slightly.

"What if I get hurt?" Jackson asked and Scott shrugged slightly, "Then it's worth it." He said and Jackson shook his head. "Not to me." He said before pushing past the three of them and Anakin. "Well, I shouldn't say 'I told you so' cause it's not strong enough." Sawyer said and Stiles nodded, "How about, we're always right, and you should listen to whatever we have to say and never disagree ever, ever, for the sake of your wolfihood?" Stiles said.

"I'm not done." Scott said, making Sawyer and Stiles sigh, "You're not done." Sawyer said as she glanced at her brother before looking at Anakin. "You hear that? He's not done." She said and Anakin just tilted his head slightly.

"One more thing..." Scott said, making Jackson stop and turn around, his eyes widening when Scott let out a low growl as his eyes glowed yellow and his teeth grew into canines.

A little while later, the three of them watched behind a corner as Jackson nervously laughed with Allison, occasionally denting nervous and panicked glances at the three.

"Hey, don't worry, we'll still be there." Sawyer said as she patted Scott's shoulder, "I'm still going." He said. "Is that such a good idea? Do you even have a date?" Stiles asked and Scott shrugged slightly, "Not yet." He said and Sawyer raised her eyebrows.

"Do you have a suit?" She asked and Scott raised his eyebrows and sighed, "Not yet." He said. "Do you have a ticket to the formal? A ride there?" Stiles asked and Scott sighed as he turned to them, "No and no." He said and Sawyer hummed slightly as she nodded.

"So, you're gonna ride your bike to a dance that you're not even allowed to go to, without a date, a suit, or a way in, with Werewolves and Werewolf Hunters all out to kick your little Werewolf ass?" She asked and Scott smiled and nodded, "Yeah. You gonna help me?" He asked and the twins nodded.

"Hell, yeah." They both said at the same time.

"Nothing's wrong. I have a lot on my mind." Allison said as she and Lydia stepped onto the escalator. "You could smile at least. Ever hear the saying: Never frown. Someone could be falling in love with your smile. Smile, Allison. I'm buying you a dress." Lydia said, making Allison chuckle.

"I'll admit, as far as apologies go, that's more than I expected... But not as much as I'm going to ask." Allison said, making Lydia look at her confused, "What's that supposed to mean?" Lydia asked and Allison smirked. "It means you're going to cancel on whatever dumb, 'roided-up jock you said yes to-" Allison started to say but Lydia cut her off.

"I don't have one." She said, making Allison look at her with furrowed brows, "You don't have a date?" She asked and Lydia shrugged slightly. "Well I mean I do, but not a real one. A friend date." She said and Allison raised her eyebrows, "Who?" She asked and Lydia pointed off in the distance.

"Sawyer." She said as Allison looked over to see Sawyer looking at some bottles of perfumes before spraying one on her wrist. "You're going with Sawyer?" Allison asked with a slight smirk and Lydia nodded, "Neither of us have dates and going with a friend is so much better and less embarrassing than going alone." She said, shrugging slightly before walking past Allison.

She walked over to where Sawyer stood making Sawyer look up from the perfume when she heard the sound of heels clicking. Lydia grabbed the perfume bottle and bright it up to her nose before nodding. "I'm so buying this for you. Come on." She said before grabbing Sawyer's hand and pulling her over to the dresses.

Sawyer glanced over at Allison who looked at her with raised eyebrows and a smirk making Sawyer's eyes widen slightly before Lydia stopped at a dress rack. "Are you wearing a dress, or a suit?" Lydia asked, "Uh... suit. Definitely suit." She said and Lydia looked her up and down.

"Then I'm thinking all black suit, but a tie that matches my dress." Lydia said and Sawyer nodded, "I'm fine with that." She said before Lydia handed her a dress to hold.

"You know..." Lydia started to say after a few minutes of looking through dresses, by now Sawyer was holding probably ten dresses, "I could totally find a girl for you. What's your type?" Lydia asked and Sawyer stared at her for a moment before sucking in a deep breath.

"Uh- Girls who like dresses and doing their hair and makeup even when they're naturally beautiful and they know they are. Girls who are really smart even though they don't always let people know that they are." Sawyer said, trying to subtly hint.

Lydia pursed her lips and hummed slightly, "I think I know the perfect girl." She said, making Sawyer raise her eyebrows, "You do?" She asked and Lydia nodded. "You and Hadley Adams would be so cute together." Lydia said, talking about a random girl in her clique making Sawyer sighed and awkwardly purse her lip.

"Right..."

Sawyer nervously messed with the tie around her neck before trying to dust off some dog hair from her suit as she stood at the door to Lydia's house. Lydia had ended up choosing a black tie for Sawyer instead of one that was the same color of her dress. The door suddenly opened making Sawyer look up, to see Lydia standing there making Sawyer stare at her for a moment.

"I knew I made the right choice with that suit." Lydia said as she looked Sawyer up and down for a moment before smiling, "Ready to go?" She asked. Sawyer cleared her throat and nodded slightly, "Yea- Yeah, after you." She said and Lydia smiled at her before closing the door and walking past her.

"Where's your car?" Lydia asked as she glanced around, "Oh, uh- Right there." Sawyer said, pointing at the sidewalk making Lydia look over before pausing slightly. "When did you get a car like that?" Lydia asked, "Um..." Sawyer said as she looked over at the black Camaro. Derek's black Camaro, which she was specifically instructed to keep hidden from the police after the car chase.

"It's my... cousin's." Sawyer said before nodding slightly, "I convinced him to let me borrow it for the night. Figure it wouldn't be a good idea to have to make someone climb into the backseat of my brother's jeep when we're all dressed up. Anakin's in the back by the way if you want to say hi." She said and Lydia hummed and smiled at her.

Sawyer stared at her for a moment before clearing her throat and quickly walked over to the car. She opened the passenger side door before gesturing to the car, "Princess." She said, making Lydia laugh softly before walking over and getting into the car. Sawyer smiled to herself as she closed the door before walking over to the driver's side.

๐Ÿบ

Sawyer opened the passenger door before holding her hand out to help Lydia out the car. Lydia straightened her dress out a bit while Sawyer went to get Anakin out the backseat while Jackson and Allison started to walk past.

"Jackson... You look handsome." Lydia said, making them stop as Jackson smiled smugly, "Obviously. It's Hugo Boss." He said before walking away as Sawyer closed the car door.

"I don't care. I don't want compliments. I will not fall prey to society's desire to turn girls into emotional, insecure neurotics who pull up their dresses at the first flattering remark." Lydia said and Sawyer raised her eyebrows slightly, "Well, I think you look really beautiful." Sawyer said, making Lydia look at her.

"Really?" She asked and Sawyer smiled and nodded before holding her arm out to her. Lydia stared at her for a moment before grabbing Sawyer's arm and they walked towards the school.

A little while later, Sawyer, Lydia and Anakin sat at one of the tables, Lydia looking very bored. Sawyer glanced at Allison and Jackson dancing and then at her brother dancing awkwardly with some random girl before taking a deep breath and turning to Lydia. "Wanna dance?" Sawyer asked and Lydia pursed her lips, "Pass." She said and Sawyer raised her eyebrows, "But I thought you always dance at parties." She said and Lydia shook her head.

"Not this time." Lydia said, making Sawyer sigh softly before standing up and turning to Lydia, "Lydia, come on. Get off your ass and come dance with me." She said and Lydia looked at her with raised eyebrows.

"Interesting tactic! I'm gonna stick with no." She said, making Sawyer roll her eyes, "Normally I stop the first time someone says no, but Lydia, I know this is what you need right now, okay? I'm gonna forget that you made out with my best friend for some weird power thing because I know that somewhere inside that cold, lifeless exterior, there's an actual human soul and a brain that's smarter than everyone else in this school." Sawyer said and Lydia just stared at her.

"So before you decide to stop pretending to be an absolute nit-wit and write some insane mathematical theorem that wins you the Nobel Prize, come dance with me... Come show Jackson that he missed the opportunity to dance with the most beautiful girl in the room." Sawyer said, making Lydia stare at her for a moment before biting her lip.

"A Fields Medal." Lydia said before standing up, making Sawyer furrow her brows, "What?" She asked. "Nobel doesn't have a prize for mathematics. The Fields Medal is the one I'll be winning." She said before she grabbed Sawyer's hand and stood where their chests were almost touching.

"And second most beautiful girl." She corrected making Sawyer furrow her brows in confusion before Lydia started to pull her to the dance floor. Sawyer's eyes widened slightly before she glanced back and pointed at Anakin, "Stay. Bark if someone tries to steal you!" She called out.

Lydia and Sawyer walked past Coach, who smiled proudly at Sawyer before fist bumping her. That's when he noticed Scott sitting up at the bleachers. "McCall! I see you! Come here, buddy. Come here! McCall! Get outta my way! McCall! It's a small gym, buddy! I'm gonna find you! I gotcha, McCall! Come here, come here! Get outta my way! McCall!"

Sawyer watched as Scott ran from Coach and ended up pretending like he was dancing with Danny as Coach caught up. "McCall! You're not supposed to-What the hell are you do- What the hell are you doing?" Coach said, flabbergasted. Every couple around them pauses to notice Coach charging forward as if to chastise a gay couple for dancing with each other in public. By now even the band had stopped playing to watch them.

Coach looks from one hostile glare to the next. Scott pulls a bewildered Danny closer to him, "Yes Coach?" Scott asked innocently.

"Okay, ho-ho-ho, ha-ha. Hold on, you- I was just saying he's not supposed to- I mean, I wasn't saying that he shouldn't- You guys don't think- You don't- I-I was- Just dance, everybody! Just dance! Dance! It's a party!" Coach yelled, making Sawyer laugh and shake her head slightly as the band started playing again, this time a slower song.

A couple minutes later, Lydia had her head slightly leaning against Sawyer's shoulders before he started looking around. "You okay?" Sawyer asked, making Lydia look at her, "Just... need to take a little break." Lydia said as she continued to look around and Sawyer sighed softly.

"You mean you need to go find Jackson." Sawyer said and Lydia looked down for a moment before looking up at Sawyer and nodding. "I get it." Sawyer said and Lydia smiled awkwardly at her for a moment before walking away.

Sawyer watched her for a moment before looking down and sighing softly. She walked back over to the tables where Anakin was still laying on the ground before sitting down. Almost immediately, Anakin got up and leaned his head down on Sawyer's lap making her smile softly. "Thanks, buddy." She said as she scratched the top of his head.

A minute later Stiles walked over and furrowed his brows, "Where's Lydia?" He asked and Sawyer sighed. "She went to find Jackson halfway through dancing." She said and Stiles sighed, "Sorry, Sawyer... Wanna take a walk?" He asked and she nodded. "Yeah, Anakin probably needs one anyways." She said before grabbing Anakin's leash and standing up.

Stiles wrapped his arm around his sister's shoulders before they walked out the gym. Right as they walked out the doors they noticed Jackson slowly walking up, "Where the hell have you been? Did Lydia ever find you?" Sawyer asked before they noticed the panicked and guilty look on Jackson's face.

"What? What's wrong?" Stiles asked and Jackson took a deep breath, "I- I was out behind the school, and I- I was out-" He stuttered slightly making the twins squint at him. "What happened?" Stiles asked and Jackson didn't say anything, "Jackson, what did you do?" Sawyer said slowly.

๐Ÿบ

"Jackson?" Lydia called out as she walked out onto the Lacrosse field, "Jackson?" She called out again before the large overhead lights turned on one by one.

"Jackson!" Lydia called out as she saw a figure walking towards her, "Jackson? Is that you?" She asked. "Jackson, is that you?" She asked again, but this time it was more in a whisper as Peter Hale walked towards her.

"Lydia!" Someone yelled, making Lydia turn around to see Sawyer running over, "Run!" Sawyer yelled. Lydia looked back at Peter to see his eyes glowing red as his teeth grew into large canines. "Lydia!" Sawyer yelled, grabbing Lydia by the waist before turning to them, making Peter bite down on her shoulder instead of Lydia making Sawyer cry out in pain while Lydia screamed.

Peter growled angrily before grabbing Sawer by the arm and ripping her away from Lydia, "Do not get in my way again." Peter growled before throwing her to the ground making her groan.

"Sawyer!" Stiles yelled as he and Anakin ran onto the field while Lydia looked at her wide eyed before going to run but Peter caught her before she could. Stiles ran over and gently grabbed his sister's arm, pulling her up slightly. Anakin growled towards Peter, making Sawyer grab him and pull him towards her as she looked over at Lydia who was now unconscious and covered in blood.

"Don't kill her... Please..." Sawyer said as she had her hand tightly pressed against the bite on her shoulder. "Of course not. Just tell me how to find Derek." He said, making the twins look at him confused, "W- what?" Stiles asked.

"Tell me how to find Derek Hale." Peter said slowly as he lightly trailed a clawed finger down Lydia's cheek making Sawyer clench her jaw slightly. "We don't know that. How would we know that?" She asked, making Peter look at them, "Because you're the clever ones, aren't you? And because deception has a particularly acrid scent, Stiles, Sawyer. Tell me the truth... or I will rip her apart." Peter said and Sawyer tried to calm her breathing as she shook her head.

"Look, we- we don't know, okay? I- I swear to God, we have no idea." Sawyer said, "TELL ME!" Peter yelled in a slight roar, making the twins flinch. Anakin started barking at him, making Sawyer quickly and gently wrap her hand around his snout to get him to stop.

"Okay, okay, okay, look... I- I think he knew." Stiles said quickly, "Knew what?" Peter said. "Derek, I think he... I think he knew he was gonna be caught." Sawyer said and Peter raised his eyebrows slightly, "By the Argents. And?" Peter asked. "When they were shot, he and Scott- I think he took Scott's phone." Stiled said and Peter raised his eyebrows, "Why?" He asked.

"They all have GPS now. So, if he still has it, and if it's still on... you can find him." Sawyer said, finally looking up from Lydia's unconscious body.
