Chapter Sixty-Three
🎭 Dreamcatchers 🎭

"Ohhh, I should've got a haircut." Stilinski said as he looked into the mirror and messed with his hair, "Well, you know, someone your age should be happy you still have hair to cut." Stiles said only to earn a flick to the back of the head by his sister. "I think you look great." Scott said and Stilinski smiled at him, "Well, thank you, son-I-should-have-had." He said making his kids frown slightly. 

"Oh, what the hell am I doing? This is a terrible idea." Stilinski said as he started to take off his tie until Stiles and Sawyer stopped him. "What? Dad. Dad, it's one date, okay? The town of Beacon Hills won't implode while you're out with one woman." Stiles said and Sawyer raised her eyebrows, "Or man." She said. 

"It's a woman, Sawyer." Stilinski said and she nodded, "Okay." She said and Stilinski smiled. "A very beautiful woman." Stilinski said and the twins raised their eyebrows, "What beautiful woman, by the way?" They both asked and Stilinski smiled. "None of your business. Any one of you." Stilinski said, making the twins squint slightly. 

"Stilinski!" Someone yelled, making them all turn, "Stilinski!" The person yelled again as they all walked out the office to a kid named Donovan in handcuffs being held by Parrish and Deputy Clark and Tracy's dad in front of them. "I'm going to kill you!" Donovan said, making Sawyer raise her eyebrows. 

"Donovan, if you think that shocks me, remember it was well-documented in your Anger Expression Inventory. Deputies, escort the prisoner out." Stilinski said and Donovan shook his head. 

"I'm not angry, like I'm gonna throw a brick through your window- I'm angry, like I'm going to find you, I'm going to get a knife, and I'm going to stab you with it until you're dead. And when you look at me and you ask, "Why?", remember right now. Because this is why." Donovan said and it was quiet for a minute until Stiles and Sawyer spoke up. 

"Wow, that was awesome." They said, making them all look at them while Sawyer smiled, "That was awesome. That was great. Can we do one more? Give us another one, maybe like Christopher Walken this time, you know?" Sawyer said and Stiles nodded. 

"7ou know what? It's fine. You'll have plenty of time to work on it when you're in your tiny, little cell. You know... just stuck there... forever." Stiles said and Sawyer smiled and nodded in agreement. Donovan chuckled and nodded before he suddenly tried to lunge at the twins but Parrish and Clark had a tight grip on him. "Get him out of here!" Stilinski said and they dragged Donovan out. 

"What the hell's an Anger Expression Inventory?" Scott asked, leaning towards Stiles and Sawyer, "It's a test you take when you're applying to become a deputy." Stiles said, making Scott raise his eyebrows. "That guy wanted to be a cop?" She asked and Sawyer nodded, "At least now, he's getting the full law enforcement experience..." She said before her phone went off making her pull it out to see a text from Lydia. 

"I gotta go. I have to help Lydia and Kira teach Malia how to drive." She said making their eyes winded, "Look luck with that." Stiles said and she nodded. 

"I'm gonna need it."

"Okay. Hands on the wheel at ten and two." Kira said as they sat in the car in the middle of an empty road. "Actually, the recommended position is now nine and three. At ten and two, a deployed airbag could break your thumbs." Lydia said and Malia looked at her, "Mine would heal." 

"Just save your strength. And please try not to destroy your beautiful new car." Sawyer said and Lydia nodded, "Nine and three." Lydia said, moving Malia's hands down a bit. Malia took a deep breath before turning the key and pressing down on the gas pedal. 

"All right. Just ease into it. Good, good. Okay. There you go." Kira said, trying to be supportive, "Please shut up." Malia said and Kira nodded, "No problem. Shutting up." Kira said, looking over at Sawyer, who chuckled quietly. 

Malia drove for a few seconds before slowly starting to turn, "Uh, other way...Other way. Malia. Other way." Kira tried to say but Malia didn't listen as she started driving in the grass, "We are now off the road. This isn't the road." Sawyer said. 

"Other way. Malia, please go the other way." Kira said as the car started beeping the closer they got to a tree, "What is that? What is beeping?" Malia asked, glancing around. "That's the car telling you not to run into the tree." Sawyer said, leaning forward, "Turn the wheel! Malia!" Lydia yelled and finally Malia turned right before hitting the car making them all sigh in relief. 

"And try to stay on the actual road..." Kira said, making Sawyer let out a breathy chuckle. Instead of going straight down the road, Malia started going in circles, "And this is called making donuts." Sawyer said, which only made Malia more confused. "What? She said turn the wheel!" Malia said before evening out. 

"Maybe you should press a little harder on the gas..." Lydia said and Malia slammed down on the gas, "No! Not that hard." Sawyer said as she grabbed Kira's arm to stop her from falling on her. "Okay, just turn up here." Lydia said and Malia started to make a quick turn, "No, no, no... Slowly. Slowly." Lydia said, making Malia hit the breaks. 

"Go." Lydia said and Malia went back on the gas. "Anybody want to tell me where we're going?" Malia asked and Lydia looked at her, "The school. We can finish with parking practice in the lot." Sawyer said and Kira furrowed her brows as she glanced around. 

"Aren't we actually heading downtown. If we want to go to the school, we should do a U-turn. Right?" Kira asked, making Lydia and Sawyer glance at each other before Lydiatook a deep breath and shook her head, "No. Keep going." She said, making Malia glance back at her. "You sure?" She asked and Lydia nodded, "Yes. We're almost there." She said. 

They pulled up to a tunnel and instantly got out. "Holy shit." Sawyer mumbled as she pulled out her phone while they started at the crashed police transport van. "Call 911." Lydia said and Sawyer nodded, "Already on it."

"Guys." Stilinski said waving over Scott, Stiles and Sawyer, "Scott, you saw this kid, Donovan. He... He wasn't like you, right?" Stilinski asked and Scott shook his head. "I don't think so." He said and Sawyer shrugged slightly, "Unless he knows how to hide his scent." She said and Stiles nodded. 

"Well, human or otherwise, this kid might have just murdered his lawyer and mortally wounded two officers. We've got an APB out on him, but you think you can find him faster?" faster?" Stilinski asked and Scott nodded, "I can try." He said and Stilinski pulled out a walkie talkie and handed it to Scott. "All right. Keep it on channel two." He said and Scott nodded for running off. 

"Dad, what if it wasn't Donovan?" Sawyer and Stiles both asked, making their dad look over at them, "I'm guessing you've already got a theory?" He asked and Stiles nodded. "Yeah, I think we do..." Before anyone could say anything, Parrish's radio started going off. "Scott, is that you?" 

"Yeah, I found Donovan. He's completely freaked out. He keeps saying some name." 

"What name?" 

"Tracy. He keeps saying Tracy." Scott said, making Lydia and Sawyer look at each other as Stilinski furrowed his brows, "Tracy who?" Stilinski asked. "Stewart." Sawyer said, making them look at her while Lydia nodded in agreement. 

"Tracy Stewart." 

🎭 

"Tracy wasn't just having trouble sleeping... It was a real disorder. It was night terrors. It's been going on for a little while." Lydia said as the group stood around the jeep outside of school. "Well, now she's the night terror. Especially since no one can find her." Stiles said and Sawyer nodded slightly. 

"Okay, I know we're all tired and miserable..." Scott said before trailing off slightly, "Except for you." He said looking at Mason who looked amazed by everyone around him. "Oh, I'm sorry- this is all just mind-blowing. You're a Kitsune! I don't even know what that is!" Mason said, looking at Kira who smiled awkwardly, "I'm still learning." 

"Liam, we said you could tell him, not invite him to the inner circle!" Sawyer said, making Mason look at her wide-eyed, "I'm in the inner circle?" He asked. "No." Stiles and Liam both said frustratingly, "Guys, look, back to Tracy. She's just one lone wolf- we can find her." Scott said, trying to get back to the point of said inner circle. 

"One lone, serial-killing wolf." Malia said, "All right, what do we do when we catch her?" Stiles asked and Malia shrugged. "I say we put her down." Malia said, making Sawyer sigh softly and close her eyes, "No, Malia. Not how it works." She said making Malia pout slightly. 

"Intense." Mason said, making them all look at him slightly weird. "Guys, let's concentrate on catching her, first. We'll figure out the rest later." Stiles said and they all nodded. 

🎭 

Sawyer had her chin rested on her girlfriend's shoulder as she gave Anakin a treat while Ms. Finch walked around the class passing out the graded tests. "Nice to see where your priorities are, Scott." Ms. Finch said as she handed Scott his test that had an eighty-six making the girls smile proudly at him. "Since you have such a good grasp of the subject, how about you lead us in a review of last night's reading?" Ms. Finch asked, making Scott's eyes widen slightly. 

"Uh... Sure." Scott said before opening his text book, that's when Liam appeared just outside of the doorway. Sawyer and Scott both noticed him making hand gestures to follow him. "Scott." Ms. Finch said as Scott kept flipping pages, "Sorry, just looking for the page." 

"Scott?" 

"Yeah, one sec. Sorry." 

"Scott..." Ms. Finch said and Scott tapped his ear, "She's here. She's in history class right now. Tracy, she's here." Liam whispered. Right after he said that, Sawyer's eyes clouded over, making her glance down. She started seeing flashes of Tracy standing in an empty classroom, gripping onto Hayden's wrist and then Tracy laying on the ground as a silver liquid drilled from out mouth. 

When her eyes went back to normal, Sawyer glanced up at Ms. Finch before looking at Liam. "Pull the fire alarm." Sawyer whispered lowly and Liam looked at her then nodded before running off. A few seconds later the fire alarm went off and Scott, Sawyer and Anakin instantly shot up and ran out of class. 

They slowly walked into Mr. Yukimura's class to find exactly what Sawyer saw, Tracy gripping onto Hayden's wrist with claws. "Tracy." Scott said calmly as he slowly walked forward making Tracy look up at her before breathing heavily and standing up, still holding Hayden wrist. "Tracy." He said calmly again as Hayden's wrist started bleeding. 

"Tracy, let go." 

"They're coming." Tracy said as she let Hayden go, "They're coming for all of us." She said before falling to the ground making their eyes widen. 

"Scott." Sawyer said alarmingly as a silver liquid started to pour out of Tracy's mouth. Scott ran over and picked Tracy up and they ran out of the class right as Malia and Stiles ran over to them before the four of them and Anakin ran out the door. 

🎭 

"Pupils dilate under normal conditions. Heart rate is 250. Evidence of an allogeneic skin graft on the right shoulder. Now, this silvery substance at her lips is not something I've seen. It almost looks like mercury." Deaton said and Tracy moved slightly making everyone jump a bit. "Yeah, I'm putting Anakin in the other room..." Sawyer said, eyeing Tracy as she walked over to the door of the back room. 

"Can't you just give her a shot of something?" Malia asked, making Deaton look over at her, "She doesn't look to be in any pain." He said. "I meant a shot to kill her." Malia said and Deaton raised his eyebrows slightly. 

"I generally prescribe to a code of ethics that frowns on such measures." Deaton said, "Malia, you know we're not going to do that." Scott said, making Malia look over at him and sigh. "How do you know she's not going to kill us?" Malia asked and Sawyer pointed at her, "She makes a decent point. Either way, we're going to have to let our dad know she's here." Stiles said and Deaton nodded. 

"Agreed. And, while I may argue against euthanasia, I'm not opposed to a little extra security." Deaton said as he picked up a jar of mountain ash. He opened it before throwing it, making it create a line in the doorway. 

"Don't worry, Stiles- Tracy won't be able to cross a line of mountain ash. She's not going anywhere." Deaton said when he noticed Stiles staring at the line, "Yeah, that's kind of what I'm afraid of." Stiles said, looking over at him. 

"Well, you, Sawyer, Anakin and I will be able to get out of here, no problem." Deaton said before looking at Malia and Scott, "You two? Not so much." He said, making Malia turn to the doorway. Malia looked at it curiously before holding her hand out but it was stopped by a barrier making her quickly pull her hand away, "Weird." 

"Scott? Would you mind holding her down? I'm going to be trying a few more invasive tests." Deaton asked as he held up a scalpel and Scott nodded before grabbing Tracy's shoulders. Deaton slowly dragged the scalpel down Tracy's arm but it didn't even break skin before the top of it broke off. 

"I think you're gonna need a bigger blade..." Sawyer and Stiles both said slowly, making them all glance at the two. 

After a few minutes Deaton moved Tracy's head to the side as Scott and Stiles talked, "Now, this is interesting..." He said making Malia and Sawyer walk over to see it looked like something was moving under her skin. 

Deaton touched the lump on Tracy's neck and it instantly moved. "Girls, help me turn her over, please." Deaton asked, looking up at them and they nodded before helping him. "I think I know what she is." Stiles said, making them look over at him, "Do you care to enlighten the rest of us? Because this doesn't look too good..." Deaton said. 

They walked over and Deaton lifted Tracy's shirt up to show something moving under Tracy's skin. All of the sudden Tracy's back opens up to show what looked like her spine moving. But then a tail suddenly shot out, cutting Stiles's and Sawyer's arms and then Deaton's making them fall to the ground. 

Tracy jumped up roaring as her tail cut Malia's wrist, she turned around before swiping at Scott making them all fall to the ground. She jumped off the table, hissing before running straight past the mountain ash, breaking the line in the process. 

Sawyer slowly stood up and glanced around to see everyone else not being able to move. "It wasn't a Werewolf!" Stiles yelled out and Sawyer took a deep breath, "Kanima." She said. "Sawyer, you gotta go after her." Scott said and she glanced around at all of them paralyzed.   

"Wha- I can't just leave you guys like this!" She said as she looked at them worriedly, "She's going to kill someone, you have to leave us and go after her." Stiles said. She hesitated for a moment, looking at all of them before sighing and running off.  

When she got outside she looked around for any sign of Tracy but didn't see any making her groan slightly. Suddenly her phone rang making her pull it out to see Lydia calling her. "Is Tracy still at the animal clinic?" Lydia asked the second Sawyer answered the phone.  

"No. She just turned into a freaking Kanima, paralyzed Stiles, Scott, Malia and Deaton then ran right past a mountain ash barrier." Sawyer said and she could hear Lydia sigh, "I think I know where she's going." Lydia said and Sawyer climbed into her car.  

"Where?" 

"The station. Kira and I are on our way there right now. I think she's going after my mom." Lydia said, making Sawyer furrow her eyebrows in confusion as she started driving, "Your mom? Why would she go after her? And why is she at the station?" Sawyer asked.

"Because she killed her dad and her psychiatrist. Both of them were trying to help her and so was my mom." Lydia said, making Sawyer's eyes widen slightly, "Which means not only is your mom in danger but so is everyone else at the station, including my dad... Okay, I'll be there as fast as possible." Sawyer said before they hung up.  

A few minutes later Sawyer pulled up to the station at the same time as Lydia and Kira. "Mom! She's coming. Tracy's coming for you." Lydia yelled as they ran into the station making Natalie look over at them confused, "What? What do you mean, 'for me'?" Natalie asked but then a noise from above made them look up to see Tracy on the ceiling hissing at them. 

Stilinski pulled out his gun as Tracy dropped down and fired a few shots at her but the bullets didn't affect her as she shot forward, knocking the gun out of his hand paralyzing him. Turned to Sawyer and hissed making her sigh as Tracy swiped at her but Sawyer easily dodged and grabbed her arm before twisting it and kicking her in the back. 

Tracy stumbled forward slightly before she spun back around and hissed before swiping at her again. Her clawed hand roughly scratched Sawyer's arm making her groan slightly as she stumbled back into the wall, holding her arm. Kira stepped forward making Tracy turn to Kia while she spun her sword around. Tracy swiped at her a few times but Kira dodged each one until they were basically having a stare down. 

"Mom, run! Run!" Lydia yelled and Natalie started to run off, catching Tracy's attention. She spun around as Lydia tried to move away but Tracy's tail still managed to cut deeply into Lydia's side making Sawyer eyes widen. 

"Lydia!" Sawyer yelled, running over to her, she gently grabbed her girlfriend and pulled her into an office. She quickly took her sweater off and pressed it down on Lydia's side making Lydia groan out in pain. Sawyer glanced up to see that Kira and Tracy started fighting again. 

Kira elbowed Tracy into the wall before jumping up onto one of the desks spinning her katana around. But it was like the more she spun it around the more her fox aura became visible to everyone and grew a bit as her eyes glowed a fiery orange. Tracy growled at her and spun around as Kira jumped down and slashed her katana right down onto Tracy's tail, cutting it off. 

Tracy ran off after a few seconds but Kira stayed still as it seemed like she was slightly embracing her power making Sawyer's and Lydia's eyes widen. A few seconds later the aura subsided and Kira looked over at them and her eyes widened before running over to them. 

Minutes later, Malia ran in and noticed the trail of blood and then the paralyzed Stilinski. "Malia." Sawyer said, making Malia turn around to see Lydia, her back against Sawyer's chest and her blood coating Sawyer's hands. "Lydia?" Malia asked worriedly, "Okay. Hey, it's not as bad as it looks..." Lydia said weakly. 

"Malia, you gotta listen." Sawyer said, making Malia look at her, "Tracy, she thinks she's asleep. She thinks she's dreaming. It's a night terror." Sawyer said and Malia's eyes widened as she shook her head, "I-I don't know what that-" 

"She's not dreaming. She's not asleep. You need to get her to understand." Lydia said weakly and Malia stared at her for a moment, "Malia." Stilinski said, making her turn around. "Basement. They're in the basement." He said, making her look at him confused, "They?" She asked. 

"Tracy and Natalie." Sawyer said, making her look back at them, "They're in the basement. You have to go to the basement and get Tracy to understand." Sawyer said and Malia nodded slightly before running off. 

Sawyer glanced down at Lydia before looking at her blood coated hands for a moment. "Sawyer." Kira said, making Sawyer look at her before nodding slightly, "It's okay." She said in a slight whisper as she took a deep breath before kissing the top of Lydia's head.
