"It's a relic." Lydia says as she held out Jake Sullivan's ID to Sawyer, Scott and Malia while they stood in the hallway, along with Anakin. "What's a relic?" Malia asked, "An object with a fixed association to the past. Jake's ID was left behind after he was taken and Gwen found her sister's bracelet on her bathroom floor." Sawyer explained but Malia still looked confused.

"How can someone be erased and still leave something behind?" Malia asked and Lydia sighed slightly, "Conservation of mass. The total of mass of any isolated system remains constant." She explained as realization crossed over Scott's features.

"So, even the Ghost Riders have a weakness." He said and Sawyer nodded, "A relic could prove that Stiles existed." She said and Scott looked hopeful.

"And we could bring him back."

Sawyer and Anakin stood in front of her father at the station as she showed him the ID and explained everything to him and an idea she had. "You wanna search the house? You live there." He asked, looking at her like she was slightly crazy as she nodded, "I wanna look at the places I don't normally look at or go. People are leaving things behind. So if Stiles left anything-" She started to explain but he cut her off.

"Why would it be there?" He asked, making her sigh softly as she sat down, "I'm going off a hunch that I'll explain later... But you can't just erase people. They leave things behind." She said. Stilinski stared at her for a moment before sighing and setting down the ID card.

"I couldn't sleep last night so... I figured I'd do some paperwork. The files were in the back of the car so I got to the garage and some junk had fallen off the shelf and I stubbed my toe on a baseball bat. Without thinking I yelled your name and another name..." He said and Sawyer nodded slightly.

"Stiles."

A few minutes later Sawyer slowly walks around the living room of her house looking for anything that could be a relic. Anakin was laying on the couch, watching her walk around. Sawyer was momentarily distracted by some pictures next to the TV, some of her parents, some of her and her parents.

But there was one picture of just her, which wouldn't be very surprising, if it was for the space next to her that seemed too open. She went to grab the picture but before she could, she got interrupted by Claudia. "Is there something I can do to help?" She asked, making Sawyer smile at her mother.

"No, it's fine. Thanks, mom." Sawyer said and Claudia smiled at her nodded, "Well, good luck. I'll leave you to it." She said and Sawyer nodded slightly before Claudia walked away.

Sawyer sighed softly before glancing around, trying to think of places she normally doesn go, until she saw the hall that the old lady went down the other day. Sawyer slowly walked down the hallway and over to the exact spot the old woman was standing. The whispers she normally hears got louder, making her stop at a table that was a few feet away from her room.

She looked over at the wall before tilting her head slightly when she noticed a line in the wallpaper. She reached out to touch the wall but before a man appeared next to her, making her jump slightly. "You didn't see it, did you?" His words echoed, making her look at him confused, "See what?" Sawyer asked. "It's right in front of your face." His words echoed again and Sawyer turned to look at the wall again before looking back at the man only to find him gone, making her sigh softly.

"Green is solved, yellow is to be determined, blue's just pretty..." She heard the same voice that she heard the other day, say but it was muffled as it sounded like the voice was coming from behind the wall. She slowly reached out and grabbed a piece of wallpaper and started peeling it but someone grabbed her wrist making her jump slightly and turn to her mom.

"Sawyer Joel Stilinski! What on earth are you doing?!" Claudia asked, making Sawyer look at her weird, "Are you going to just stare at me or are you going to try to explain yourself?" Claudia asked. "Who are you?" Sawyer asked after being quiet for a moment. "What are you talking about?" Claudia asked, looking at her daughter confused as Sawyer just shook her head slightly, pulling away from her mother.

"Sorry, I wasn't thinking. I shouldn't have done that." Sawyer said, making Claudia look at her and nod, "I think that's something we can agree on." She said and Sawyer looked at her warily before walking away.

Sawyer sat behind the computer in her Natalie's office when Natalie and Lydia walked in, "Your mom called me wondering if you ran off to our house. You tore the wallpaper?" Natalie asked incredulously making, Sawyer slowly look up at her. "No." Sawyer said and Natalie gave her a look making Sawyer purse her lips, "Possibly- Yes- I've done worse to that house." Sawyer said making Natalie sigh while Lydia chuckled.

"She is worried about your mental health." Natalie said and Sawyer raised her eyebrows slightly, "Since when have I ever had good mental health?" Sawyer asked and Natalie just gave her a look. "I saw someone in the hallway. Someone that my mom didn't see." She said and Natalie nodded slightly. "If Claudia doesn't see ghosts. That's because she's not Clairvoyant." Natalie said.

"Maybe he was trying to help you find something Stiles left behind. A relic." Lydia suggested and Natalie raised her eyebrows, "Did you?" She asked, looking at Sawyer making her sigh. "No. I ran off before I could find anything." She said and Natalie laughed sarcastically and nodded, "That's probably because you were tearing the wallpaper."

"I barely teared any!"

Natalie and Lydia walked around the desk to see Sawyer was looking at and saw that she had found her mother's student information making Natalie sigh. "Oh, honey. She's your mother, do you not trust her anymore?" Natalie said and Sawyer shook her head slightly as Lydia sat down next to her.

"She's not my mother..." Sawyer said, making them both look at her confused, "What do you mean?" Lydia asked. "She called me Sawyer." Sawyer said and Natalie raised her eyebrows, "Maybe because that's your name." She said and Sawyer quickly shook her head.

"No, everytime I do something that results in my mom saying my full name, she'd say Magdalena Joel Stilinski. She never calls me Sawyer when I'm in trouble. And even then my mom was rarely the parent to get mad. My dad was the parent who'd yell while my mom would laugh. Everytime she'd have to say my full name, she's sound like she's trying not to laugh, but she wasn't laughing this time." Sawyer said, making Natalie sigh softly.

"Do you know what a confirmation bias is?" Natalie asked, "The tendency to interpret an information in a way to confirm it is really an interception." Lydia answered and Natalie nodded. "Yes! It's a bias perspective. You're looking for proof to support what you believe it's true. Because you want it to be true." Natalie said and Sawyer sighed.

"Stiles is real. I know it." She said and Natalie sighed, "Do you believe there's a possibility he's not?" She asked and Sawyer shook her head. "Not at all... I- I think he might even be my brother..." Sawyer said in a slight whisper, making Natalie nod.

"Okay. Tell me everything you know. I'll be your unbiased perspective."

"You want what?!" Melissa asked incredulously before realizing how loud she was and brought her voice lower as she looked at Sawyer, Lydia and Natalie, "You want what?" She asked.

"My mom's medical records. Just for a minute. We know it's a lot to ask." Sawyer said and Melissa nodded, "It's up there. It's way up there. She's your mother, Sawyer." She said and Natalie sighed softly. "As the more recently enlightened of the two of us, just trust me. There are lives at stake." She said and Melissa raised her eyebrows at her.

"Letting the three of you look at private medical records is completely and utterly against hospital regulations." She said, making the three look at each other, "So, we better make this fast." Melissa said.

A few minutes later the three of them stood in a back room as Melissa type away on a computer. "Sorry, guys. According to her medical records, Claudia only ever had one kid." Melissa said and Lydia leaned down to look at the screen before pointing something out.

"Well, but she had-"

"Frontotemporal Dementia..." Melissa trailed off before furrowing her brows, "There must be a mistake." She mumbled as she shook her head while Sawyer furrowed her brows. "How long ago? She seems fine now." Natalie asked and Melissa read the screen for a second, "Ten years? I'm surprised she's still alive, honestly. It's a miracle." She said and Lydia looked at Sawyer to see the confused look on her face.

"Do you not remember?" Lydia asked, making Sawyer look at her for a moment before shaking her head slightly. "I- It's fuzzy. I remember her being sick, but- I can't remember actually getting better..." Sawyer said and Melissa shrugged slightly, "I mean, you were eight. It's normal for people not to remember everything from when they were kids." She said and Sawyer shook her head.

"Something like that- I should remember vividly."

"Is he okay?" Scott asked as Melissa and another nurse wheeled Argent past him and Malia. "He has blunt force trauma to his temporal bone, three broken ribs, and multiple surface lacerations, which seem to be from whip marks? What he needs is a lot of rest." Melissa said before pushing him into a room.

"What happened?" Lydia asked as she and Sawyer walked up to them, "The Ghost Riders took everyone. We barely slowed them down." Malia said and Scott turned to Sawyer. "Tell us you found something." He said and she signed.

"We found out my mom never had any other children besides me. So, Stiles can't be my brother." Sawyer said and Malia raised her eyebrows. "What about a relic?" Malia asked and Sawyer just shook her head defeatedly. "There never was a Stiles, was there?" Malia asked and Scott sighed, "It doesn't even sound like a real name." Scott said and Sawyer shook her head.

"We have to keep looking. Check the school records again, or call Scott's dad-" Sawyer said and Malia cut her off, "We're fighting the wrong battle." Malia said and Sawyer shook her head. "We're trying to bring Stiles back." She said and Malia shook her head slightly, "The Ghost Riders came back. We still have no way of stopping them. And whatever they are, they're real. We can't keep chasing people who aren't." Malia said and Sawyer sighed.

"He didn't leave anything behind... Just us."
