LA PRINCESA DE WALES ANFITRIONA DEL EVENTO DE VILLANCICOS CELEBRADO EN WESTMINSTER

La Princesa de Wales se ha ganado a pulso el título de reina de la Navidad. Su concierto de villancicos en la Abadía de Westminster, que celebra por tercer año consecutivo, ya es todo un emblema de la Familia Real británica. Una cita que se ha convertido en un verdadero punto de encuentro en estas fechas tan especiales y también de recuerdo, como en la pasada edición cuando se homenajeó la figura de la eterna Elizabeth II.

En esta ocasión, la esposa del Príncipe William ha dedicado su gran acto a todos aquellos que trabajan por los derechos de la infancia en Reino Unido. Vestida completamente de blanco
llevó un abrigo hecho a la medida por la firma británica Chris Kerr, que combinó con un sencillo jersey y unos pantalones a la cintura con piernas ligeramente acampanadas de Holland Cooper. Kate Middleton llegó a primera hora de la tarde y fue recibida por el decano de Westminster.

Según ha contado un portavoz del Palacio de Kensington, la nuera de los Reyes "ha estado trabajando muy duro entre bambalinas para asegurarse de que el recital se vea como un agradecimiento a todo aquel que dedica sus esfuerzos a apoyar a los niños y las familias en nuestras comunidades". Poco después de la llegada de la Princesa, lo hacía su hermana Pippa Middleton y su marido James Matthews, al igual que sus padres Carole y Michael.

Minutos después, se ha producido la aparición más esperada, la llegada del Príncipe William junto a sus cuatro hijos, la Princesa Eleanor (15), el Príncipe George (10), la Princesa Charlotte (8) y el Príncipe Louis (5), es la primera vez  que los cuatro acuden juntos al "Together At Christmas". En la primera edición fue la primogénita la única en acudir, en la edición del año pasado se unieron George y Charlotte y este año el más pequeño hizo su debut en este significativo evento.

El look que ha llamado más la atención por toda la prensa y por la misma Famila Real ha sido la vestimenta de Eleanor, quien al igual que su madre ha optado por ir vestida de blanco. La primogénita de Kate ha elegido un conjunto de la firma Bruna de pantalón recto de tiro alto y levita de manga corta, cuello redondo y cierre cruzado con capas en el delantero, que al caminar se abría dando un favorecedor movimiento a todo el conjunto. A todo esto también nos dejó impresionar con su larga melena con ondas marcadas, un estilo que pocas veces se deja ver y que realmente le queda fantástico. Lo que más impresionó fue que el outfit no era el más adecuado para el frío londinense, ya que el termómetro marca los 5 grados.

La hija menor de la Princesa de Wales recurrió al abrigo en cranberry de John Lewis que lució el año pasado durante el servicio religioso de Navidad en Sandringham. En esta ocasión, se le vio luciendo mallas azul marino y zapatos Mary Jane de charol negro. Su melena más larga que nunca, se encontraba agarrada en un medio recogido. El Príncipe George como viene siendo costumbre iba con una vestimenta muy parecida a la de su padre, mientras que el Príncipe Louis lució pantalones largos y botines de gamuza, junto a un abrigo y camisa a rayas.

A la entrada de la abadía se había instalado un buzón de correos para que los niños de la Familia Real dejaran tarjetas navideñas con sus mejores deseos para aquellos niños quienes no están pasando por una buena época. De esta forma, hemos visto a los nietos de Charles III introducir ahí sus sobres correspondientes. Esta era una de las novedades de 2023 para una decoración navideña "sostenible y eco-friendly", remarcaban desde Palacio.

También asistían otros ilustres invitados como Eugenie y Beatrice de York, esta última con su marido Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi y el hijo mayor de este, Christopher Woolf. Han acudido igualmente la Duquesa de Edimburgo; Zara Tindall y su hermano Peter Phillips, este con sus hijas Savannah e Isla; Lord Frederick Windsor y Sophie Winkleman con sus niñas, Maud e Isabella; los Duques de Gloucester y Michael de Kent junto a Lady Gabriella, Lady Sarah Chatto y su esposo Daniel. Los grandes ausentes fueron los Reyes quienes no han podido asistir por temas relacionados con la agenda real.

Las angelicales voces de la organización 'Action for Children' han amenizado la bienvenida de los invitados a la iglesia. Además del coro de la Abadía de Westminster, importantes músicos británicos sumaban sus voces y su talento en este espectáculo que se emitirá por televisión el día de Nochebuena. Nombres como Jacob Collier, Freya Ridings, James Bay y un dueto compuesto por Beverly Knight y Adam Lambert han completado el cartel.

El protagonismo de la noche sin duda alguna se la ha llevado el pequeño de la familia Wales, a pesar de ser un evento muy formal, Louis no ha podido esconder su vertiente más espontánea. Bajo la atenta mirada de su padre, el pequeño no ha dudado en soplar las velas de Eleanor, George y Charlotte, quienes se han reído ante la gracia de su hermano.

Louis también se caracteriza por sus visibles expresiones faciales. Si algo le aburre, se le nota, pero si algo le gusta, también es evidente. El pequeño se ha quedado encantado con una escultura en la puerta de la Abadía, poniendo cara de sorpresa y despertando aún más simpatías entre el público de Internet que adora las travesuras del joven príncipe.

Si bien todas las miradas fueron dirigidas a Louis, dentro de la abadía otra era la protagonista, ya que según algunos presentes, la Princesa Eleanor había estado mostrando un semblante más cansado y serio, muy diferente a otras veces que se le ha visto en eventos relacionados con la Casa Real.

La menor, ya dentro del lugar, saludó con una pequeña sonrisa a su familia y luego permaneció seria en toda la misa, sin interactuar con su progenitor que se encontraba a su lado derecho, es más, otro informante relató que al terminar el evento William le empezó a hablar y que la joven prácticamente lo ignoró; y más adelante cuando Kate iba guiando a sus hijos a la salida optó por poner una de sus manos en el hombro de su hija y está sutilmente se movió para evitar ser tocada. Se cree que la actitud de la joven sería debido al cansancio del día, ya que se sabe que justo hoy, Eleanor partió del internado de Suiza, que es donde ha estado estudiando desde el 2020, para comenzar unas merecidas vacaciones. La hija mayor de William habría llegado hace un par de horas a la ciudad londinense.

PRINCESS OF WALES HOSTS WESTMINSTER CAROLING EVENT

The Princess of Wales has earned the title of Queen of Christmas. Her carol concert at Westminster Abbey, which she is hosting for the third year running, has become an emblem of the British Royal Family.
