CHARLOTTE SE UNE A LA CELEBRACIÓN DE LOS JUEGOS DE LA MANCOMUNIDAD

Los Commonwealth Games fue inaugurado el pasado jueves 28 de julio con una entrada triunfal del Príncipe Charles y Camilla en un Aston Martin y un emotivo discurso. Este evento multideportivo se celebra cada cuatro años y enfrenta en diferentes disciplinas a deportistas de todos los países que conforman la Mancomunidad de Naciones. Además de ser uno de los acontecimientos más esperados por cientos de miles de personas, es uno en el que la Familia Real británica se vuelca, mostrando su apoyo de inicio a fin. Una tradición a la que ahora se ha unido la Princesa Charlotte.

Los Duques de Cambridge y su hija de 7 años han asistido este mediodía al Sandwell Aquatics Centre en Birmingham para ver desde las gradas las distintas categorías de natación que se disputaban medallas. A juzgar por el rostro eufórico de la Princesa y las amplias sonrisas de sus padres mientras tenían lugar las carreras, puede que esta sea una de las pasiones de la sexta bisnieta de La Reina. Precisamente por los gestos de Charlotte de Cambridge podemos asegurar sin temor a equivocaciones que ella ha sido la protagonista indiscutible de la última jornada de los Juegos de la Commonwealth.

Si hace unos meses era su hermano Louis el que llamaba la atención de todos los medios internacionales en las celebraciones del Jubileo de Platino de La Reina, ahora es ella la que acapara titulares con sus graciosas caras. Esta actitud feliz y distendida de la Princesa contrasta con la que tenía en el desfile Trooping the Colour, donde no dudó en corregir a sus hermanos cuando estos se despistaban o no seguían el protocolo real.

En esta ocasión vemos a una Charlotte mucho más relajada, posiblemente por la naturaleza menos formal del evento deportivo. Una imagen que concuerda con su edad, ya que pese a mostrarse muy correcta y madura en ocasiones donde el protocolo así lo exige, no hay que olvidar que la Princesa cumplió 7 años el pasado 2 de mayo.

Según Tim Lawler, director ejecutivo de SportsAid, ha contado que le preguntó a la hija del Príncipe William cuál era su deporte favorito y respondió  "la gimnasia".

Charlotte, William y Kate también han estado acompañados por el Príncipe Edward, la Condesa de Wessex, Lady Louise Windsor y James, Vizconde de Severn. La pareja ha tenido su agenda repleta durante todos los Juegos hasta ayer, y sus imágenes de la competición de natación demuestran que estaban tan emocionados como Charlotte.

CHARLOTTE JOINS IN THE CELEBRATION OF THE COMMONWEALTH GAMES

The Commonwealth Games was inaugurated last Thursday, July 28 with a triumphal entry of Prince Charles and Camilla in an Aston Martin and an emotional speech. This multi-sport event is held every four years and pits athletes from all the countries that make up the Commonwealth of Nations against each other in different disciplines. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their 7-year-old daughter attended the Sandwell Aquatics Centre in Birmingham this lunchtime to watch from the stands the different swimming categories competing for medals. If a few months ago it was her brother Louis who caught the attention of all the international media at the celebrations of the Platinum Jubilee of The Queen, now she is the one grabbing headlines with her funny faces. This happy and relaxed attitude of the Princess contrasts with the one she had in the Trooping the Colour parade, where she did not hesitate to correct her siblings when they were absent-minded or did not follow the royal protocol.

On this occasion we see a much more relaxed Charlotte, possibly due to the less formal nature of the sporting event. An image that matches her age, since despite being very correct and mature on occasions where protocol demands it, we must not forget that the Princess turned 7 years old on May 2.
