LOS WINDSOR CELEBRAN EN SANDRINGHAM LA PRIMER NAVIDAD SIN ELIZABETH II (CON EL DEBUT DEL PRÍNCIPE LOUIS)

La Familia Real Británica ha vuelto a reunirse en el tradicional servicio religioso que se celebra cada 25 de diciembre en la iglesia de Sandringham, en Norfolk. Sin embargo, el de este año no ha sido como los demás. Ha sido la primera misa de Navidad de Charles III como Rey y, como era de esperar, ha estado llena de significado, especialmente cuando todavía se sigue hablando de las explosivas declaraciones de Harry y Meghan en su documental. De nuevo, hemos visto a los Windsor mostrando una imagen de unidad ante el huracán mediático en el que se han visto envueltos. Y es que, pese a todo, la familia va a celebrar estas fiestas siguiendo la tradición.

Minutos antes de que dieran las 12:00, los Windsor han ido llegando a la iglesia de Santa María Magdalena. El Rey y su esposa, Camilla, encabezaban la caminata royal, seguidos de los Príncipes de Wales y sus cuatro hijos; Eleanor, de catorce años, George, de nueve, Charlotte, de siete, y Louis, de cuatro. Tras ellos llegaron las hermanas Beatrice y Eugenie de York con sus respectivos maridos Edoardo Mapelli (que iba de la mano de su hijo Wolfie) y Jack Brooksbank.

Ha estado también el Príncipe Andrew, cuya presencia no había sido confirmada y estaba en duda debido a las últimas polémicas en las que se ha visto envuelto; los Condes de Wessex con sus hijos, Lady Louise y James, vizconde Severn; el matrimonio formado por Zara y Mike Tindall con sus hijas, Mia y Lena; y Peter Phillips con sus hijas, Isla y Savannah.

Tras la misa, los Príncipes de Wales junto a sus hijos dedicaron unos minutos a saludar a la multitud que se encontraba fuera para desearles una feliz Navidad. Recibieron algunos ramos de flores, regalos para los niños y abrazos. El Príncipe Louis volvió a convertirse en el centro de todas las miradas con su simpatía hacia los presentes y hacia sus dos hermanas, "Charlotte, Eleanor" gritó, mientras corría hacía ellas y entregaba unas flores a cada una.

Han pasado dos años desde que la Familia Real no se reunía en Sandringham, la finca de Norfolk donde Elizabeth II acostumbraba a pasar los últimos días del año. Debido a la pandemia de COVID, tuvieron que suspender estas celebraciones tan significativas que este año recuperan su esplendor. Además de ser la primera Navidad de Charles III como Rey, para los Windsor estas fiestas serán especialmente emotivas porque son las primeras que pasarán sin la Reina. Años atrás, ella era la gran anfitriona de estos días en los que disfrutaba de la compañía de sus hijos, nietos y bisnietos. Ahora le toca el turno a Charles, que quiere continuar con las tradiciones que tan feliz hacían a su madre, a pesar de encontrarse en una complicada situación familiar. El documental protagonizado por Harry y Meghan ha vuelto a poner sobre la mesa viejos enfrentamientos y sus duras acusaciones han generado mucha polémica.

Pero hay algo más, el capítulo final de los Duques de Sussex que verá la luz muy pronto. Se trata de una entrevista de televisión que el Príncipe Harry va a conceder antes del lanzamiento de su libro, que saldrá a la venta en enero del 2023 y que prometen ser otra 'bomba' para el Palacio de Buckingham.

THE WINDSORS CELEBRATE FIRST CHRISTMAS WITHOUT ELIZABETH II AT SANDRINGHAM (WITH THE DEBUT OF PRINCE LOUIS)

The British Royal Family has once again gathered at the traditional religious service held every December 25 at Sandringham Church in Norfolk. However, this year's service was not like the others. It was Charles III's first Christmas service as King and, as expected, it was full of meaning, especially when people are still talking about Harry and Meghan's explosive statements in their documentary. Once again, we have seen the Windsors showing an image of unity in the face of the media hurricane in which they have been involved. And it is that, despite everything, the family is going to celebrate these holidays following the tradition.

Minutes before 12:00, the Windsors have been arriving at the church of St. Mary Magdalene. The King and his wife, Camilla, led the royal walk, followed by the Prince and Princess of Wales and their four children; Eleanor (14), George (9), Charlotte (7), and Louis (4). After them came sisters Beatrice and Eugenie of York with their respective husbands Edoardo Mapelli (who was holding the hand of his son Wolfie) and Jack Brooksbank.

Prince Andrew, whose presence had not been confirmed and was in doubt due to the latest controversies in which he has been involved; the Earl and Countess of Wessex with their children, Lady Louise and James, Viscount Severn; the couple formed by Zara and Mike Tindall with their daughters, Mia and Lena; and Peter Phillips with his daughters, Isla and Savannah.

After mass, the Prince and Princess of Wales and their children spent a few minutes greeting the crowd outside to wish them a Merry Christmas. They received some bouquets of flowers, gifts for the children and hugs. Prince Louis again became the center of attention with his sympathy towards those present and towards his two sisters, "Charlotte, Eleanor" he shouted, as he ran towards them and gave flowers to each of them. 

It has been two years since the Royal Family last gathered at Sandringham, the Norfolk estate where Elizabeth II used to spend the last days of the year. Due to the COVID pandemic, they had to suspend these significant celebrations that this year regain their splendor. In keeping with tradition, after attending the religious service, the family will enjoy lunch, with turkey as the main course. Then they will watch together on television the King's speech, who will address the people to wish them happy holidays and a prosperous new year.

In addition to being Charles III's first Christmas as King, for the Windsors this holiday season will be especially emotional because it is the first they will spend without the Queen. Years ago, she was the great hostess of these days in which she enjoyed the company of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Now it is the turn of Charles, who wants to continue with the traditions that made his mother so happy, despite being in a complicated family situation. The documentary starring Harry and Meghan has brought old confrontations back to the table and their harsh accusations have generated a lot of controversy.

But there is something else, the final chapter of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex that will see the light very soon. It is a television interview that Prince Harry is going to grant before the launch of his book, which will be released in January 2023 and promises to be another 'bombshell' for Buckingham Palace.
