ELEANOR, GEORGE Y CHARLOTTE LE DICEN ADIÓS A LA REINA

Después de días de actos oficiales de toda la Familia Real por el Reino Unido y de largas colas de gente en el centro de Londres para poder dar el último adiós a la monarca, finalmente en la mañana del 19 de septiembre el mundo pudo despedir a la Reina.

Minutos antes de las 11:00 el féretro de la Reina dejaba la sala ardiente de Westminster rumbo a la abadía. Miembros de la Familia Real acompañaron a la Monarca en este último recorrido. La procesión iba encabezada por el Rey Charles III y sus hermanos, la Princesa Anne, el Príncipe Andrew y el Príncipe Edward. En segunda fila estaban los nietos de la soberana, el Príncipe William, el Príncipe Harry y Peter Phillips, a ellos se les unió la Princesa Eleanor. Hasta la mañana de hoy no se sabía si la primogénita del Príncipe de Wales estaría acompañando a su padre en este recorrido, es más, muchos no creían que fuera ocurrir debido a la corta edad de la joven.

Veinticinco años atrás fueron su padre y tío, los Príncipes William (15) y Harry (12) quienes emprendieron la dolorosa procesión detrás del féretro de su madre, Diana, Princesa de Wales; ahora le tocó a ella a sus 13 años.

Los asesores de los Príncipes de Wales, en conversaciones previas con medios británicos, aseguraban que la presencia en la procesión de la Princesa Eleanor en un momento tan relevante e histórico para la institución podría enviar un poderoso mensaje cargado de simbolismo a la ciudadanía, ya que tras la muerte de Elizabeth II, la hija mayor de William y Kate Middleton, es ahora la segunda en la sucesión al trono por detrás de su padre. Ella, ante los ojos del mundo, es la imagen del futuro de la Casa Real Británica.

Por otro lado sus hermanos menores George (9) y Charlotte (7) han viajado en coche junto a su madre, Kate Middleton, y la nueva Reina Consorte, Camilla.

Kate llegaba de la mano de su hija Charlotte, que al igual que su madre, iba vestida de riguroso luto con un sombrero del mismo modelo que su hermana mayor. La niña ha lucido un broche de herradura en el pecho que ha llamado la atención por la sobriedad de su atuendo. Por su parte, George, ha optado por un traje de chaqueta azul marino, con corbata de color negro. Su madre no se ha separado de ellos en este día histórico en el que tanto la Princesa de Wales como su marido han considerado en el último minuto que los pequeños asistieran al funeral.

Los hermanos, que son el tercero y cuarto en la línea de sucesión, se sumaron a la procesión dentro de la Abadía de Westminster, acompañando a su padre y hermana.

Eleanor, George y Charlotte también se unieron a la Familia Real en la Capilla de St.George, en Windsor, para el entierro privado, aquí se les unieron la hija mayor de Zara Tindall, Mia, y las dos hijas de Peter Phillips, Isla y Savannah.

ELEANOR, GEORGE AND CHARLOTTE SAY GOODBYE TO THE QUEEN

After days of official acts of the Royal Family throughout the United Kingdom and long lines of people in the center of London to say their last goodbye to the monarch, finally on the morning of September 19 the world could say goodbye to the Queen.

Minutes before 11:00 a.m. the Queen's coffin left the Westminster Burial Room on its way to the Abbey. Members of the Royal Family accompanied the Monarch on this last journey. The procession was led by King Charles III and his siblings, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward. In the second row were the sovereign's grandchildren, Prince William, Prince Harry and Peter Phillips, joined by Princess Eleanor. Until this morning it was not known whether the firstborn of the Prince of Wales would be accompanying her father on this procession, indeed, many did not believe due to the young age of the girl.

Twenty-five years ago it was her father and uncle, Princes William (15) and Harry (12) who undertook the painful procession behind the coffin of their mother, Diana, Princess of Wales; now it was her turn at the age of 13.

The advisors of the Princes of Wales, in previous conversations with British media, assured that the presence in the procession of Princess Eleanor in such a relevant and historical moment for the institution could send a powerful message loaded with symbolism to the citizenship, since after the death of Elizabeth II, the eldest daughter of William and Kate Middleton, is now the second in the succession to the throne behind her father. She, in the eyes of the world, is the image of the future of the British Royal House.

On the other hand, her younger siblings George (9) and Charlotte (7) have traveled by car with their mother, Kate Middleton, and the new Queen Consort, Camilla.

Kate arrived hand in hand with her daughter Charlotte, who like her mother, was dressed in mourning with a hat of the same model as her older sister. The girl wore a horseshoe brooch on her chest that drew attention to the sobriety of her outfit. George, on the other hand, has opted for a navy blue suit jacket, with a black tie. Their mother has not been separated from them on this historic day in which both the Princess of Wales and her husband have considered at the last minute that the little ones attend the funeral.

The siblings, who are the third and fourth in the line of succession, joined the procession inside Westminster Abbey, accompanying their father and sister.

Eleanor, George and Charlotte also joined the Royal Family at St. George's Chapel, Windsor, for the private burial, here they were joined by Zara Tindall's eldest daughter, Mia, and Peter Phillips' two daughters, Isla and Savannah.
