LA NUEVA VIDA DE LOS CAMBRIDGE

Los rumores eran ciertos, el Príncipe William y la Duquesa de Cambridge, Kate Middleton, se mudarán con sus cuatro hijos de Londres a Windsor, en donde vivirán más cerca de la Reina que se ha establecido en el castillo desde que comenzó la pandemia.

La familia ha elegido ya una pequeña residencia, en la que por primera vez la niñera, María Teresa Turrión Borrallo, no vivirá con ellos. Entre los muchos cambios que vivirán en las próximas semanas, está por su puesto el cambio de escuela que sufrirán el Príncipe George (9), la Princesa Charlotte (7) y el Príncipe Louis (4). Mientras hasta ahora, los hermanos mayores eran estudiantes de la Battersea Thomas's School, el pequeño de la casa iba a la guardería Willcocks en Londres; con el cambio, los tres dejarán a sus amigos y sus colegios y asistirán a una nueva escuela que ya ha sido anunciada. A diferencia de la Princesa Eleanor (13) que desde el 2020 asiste al internado Le Rosey en Suiza.

Según han dado a conocer los Duques de Cambridge a través de un comunicado, a partir de septiembre los pequeños se incorporarán a la Lambrook School.

El comunicado ha leído: "El Duque y la Duquesa de Cambridge han anunciado hoy que el Príncipe George, la Princesa Charlotte y el Príncipe Louis asistirán a Lambrook School en Berkshire desde septiembre del 2022. Sus Altezas Reales están muy agradecidas con Thomas's Battersea, en donde Eleanor, George y Charlotte tuvieron un feliz inicio en su educación desde el 2012, 2017 y 2019, respectivamente, y están contentos de haber encontrado una escuela para sus hijos que tiene una filosofía y volares similares a los de Thomas's".

Esto ha quedado claro al conocer más sobre el nuevo colegio de los Cambridge, se trata de un colegio mixto para niños de entre 3 y 13 años.

Su director, Jonathan Perry, explicó al describir al colegio en la Good Schools Guide: "Les damos plumas para volar, para que cuando nos dejen, abran sus alas y emprendan el vuelo". Tal como sucedía en su anterior colegio, los niños se mantendrán muy ocupados con clases de francés, religión, diseño, tecnología y desde quinto año, con latín obligatorio. A partir de esa edad, también hay colegio los sábados. En cuanto al lado artístico cuentan con clases de música, así como tap y gaita, por lo que podrán escoger de entre una amplia gama de posibilidades.

Cuenta con 610 alumnos en la escuela Church of England, y de acuerdo con la Good Schools Guide tiene una colegiatura anual de 25,440 libras esterlinas. Los Cambridge vivirán en el Adelaide Cottage quiere decir que solo estarán a 15 minutos de distancia del colegio.

El colegio también cuenta con amplias instalaciones por ello tiene su propio campo de golf, piscina y distintas canchas de deportes. En cuanto a actividades altruistas, desde el séptimo año, los chicos tienen que hacer distintas labores para recaudar fondos para niños menos privilegiados que ellos, por lo que no es raro verlos organizando ventas de pasteles o lava autos para la caridad. Además de tener una educación específica sobre sustentabilidad.

El colegio tiene además un reglamento de 21 páginas en contra del bullying, estableciendo: "Lambrook School está comprometida para proveer un ambiente cuidadoso, amistoso y seguro para todos los pupilos para que puedan aprender en una atmósfera relajada y segura. Bullying de cualquier tipo es inaceptable en Lambrook".

THE CAMBRIDGES' NEW LIFE

The rumors were true, Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, will move with their four children from London to Windsor, where they will live closer to the Queen who has settled in the castle since the pandemic began.

The family has already chosen a small residence, where for the first time the nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion Borrallo ,will not live with them. Among the many changes they will experience in the coming weeks, there is of course the change of school that Prince George (9), Princess Charlotte (7) and Prince Louis (4) will undergo. While until now, the older siblings were students at Battersea Thomas's School, the youngest of the house went to Willcocks Nursery in London; with the change, the three will leave their friends and their schools and will attend a new school that has already been announced. Unlike Princess Eleanor (13) who since 2020 attends Le Rosey boarding school in Switzerland.

As announced by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge through a statement, from September the little ones will join the Lambrook School.

The statement read: "The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have today announced that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will attend Lambrook School in Berkshire from September 2022. Their Royal Highnesses are very grateful to Thomas's Battersea, where Eleanor, George and Charlotte had a happy start to their education from 2012, 2017 and 2019 respectively, and are pleased to have found a school for their children that has a similar philosophy and volars to Thomas's."

This has become clear as we learn more about the Cambridge's new school, it is a co-educational school for children aged 3 to 13.

Its headmaster, Jonathan Perry, explained in describing the school in the Good Schools Guide: "We give them feathers to fly, so that when they leave us, they can spread their wings and take flight. As was the case at his previous school, the children will be kept very busy with classes in French, religion, design, technology and, from Year 5, compulsory Latin. From that age, there is also Saturday school. On the artistic side they have music classes, as well as tap and bagpipes, so they will be able to choose from a wide range of possibilities.

There are 610 pupils at the Church of England school, and according to the Good Schools Guide it has an annual tuition fee of £25,440. The Cambridges will live in Adelaide Cottage, meaning they will only be 15 minutes away from the school.

The school also has extensive facilities so it has its own golf course, swimming pool and various sports fields. In terms of altruistic activities, from year 7 onwards, the boys have to do various fundraising tasks for children less privileged than themselves, so it is not uncommon to see them organizing bake sales or car washes for charity.
