EL PRÍNCIPE WILLIAM Y KATE MIDDLETON ASISTEN CON EL PRÍNCIPE GEORGE A UN PARTIDO DE RUGBY

Los Duques de Cambridge han podido disfrutar este sábado como espectadores de honor del que es uno de sus deportes favoritos, y lo hacían muy bien acompañados por su hijo, el Príncipe George. Los tres acudían juntos al estadio Twickenham de Londres para presenciar el partido entre Inglaterra y Gales perteneciente al Seis Naciones, el torneo de rugby más prestigioso del mundo. Allí ocupaban sus asientos en el palco de un recinto que, como era de esperar, estaba abarrotado para la ocasión. Durante el choque, hemos podido comprobar la ilusión del pequeño de 8 años mientras su madre, muy atenta y cariñosa con él en todo momento, le explicaba con gestos lo que estaba aconteciendo. Situado entre sus dos progenitores, el niño miraba con asombro lo que le rodeaba y sonreía de vez en cuando, al tiempo que veíamos aplaudir a los Duques cuando el espectáculo lo requería.

Cabe recordar que tanto la esposa del Príncipe William como él, tienen una fuerte vinculación con este deporte, no solo como grandes aficionados sino también como representantes de dos de sus asociaciones nacionales. A principios de este mes, la Duquesa se mostraba "encantada" tras ser nombrada patrona de la Rugby Football Union.

El nombramiento era especialmente significativo ya que Kate Middleton tomaba el relevo del Príncipe Harry, quien llevaba en este cargo antes de dejar Reino Unido en enero de 2020.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were able to enjoy one of their favourite sports this Saturday as spectators of honour, and they did so in the company of their son, Prince George. The three of them went together to Twickenham Stadium in London to watch England play Wales in the Six Nations, the most prestigious rugby tournament in the world. There they took their seats in the box at a venue that, as expected, was packed for the occasion. During the match, we were able to see the excitement of the 8 year old boy while his mother, very attentive and affectionate with him at all times, explained to him with gestures what was happening. Placed between his two parents, the child looked with amazement at his surroundings and smiled from time to time, while we saw the Duke and Duchess clapping when the spectacle required it.

It is worth remembering that both, Kate Middleton and Prince William have strong links with the sport, not only as great fans of the sport but also as representatives of two of their national associations. Earlier this month, the Duchess was "delighted" to be named patron of the Rugby Football Union.

The appointment was particularly significant as Kate Middleton took over from Prince Harry, who held the position before leaving the UK in January 2020.
