EL PRÍNCIPE WILLIAM DA INICIO A LA CARRERA DE SANDRINGHAM EN EL DÍA DEL PADRE

El Duque de Cambridge ha pasado hoy el Día del Padre con sus tres hijos mayores, que le han ayudado a dar el inicio a una media maratón en la finca de la Reina en Sandringham.

El príncipe William, que mañana cumple 39 años, estuvo acompañado por la princesa Eleanor (12), el príncipe George (7) y la princesa Charlotte (6), al comienzo de la prueba en Sandringham, Norfolk.

Vestido de manera informal con una camisa azul pálido y un par de pantalones azul marino, el orgulloso padre se dirigió a los corredores y luego sostuvo el micrófono hacia los tres niños para que pudieran hacer la cuenta atrás hasta el comienzo de la carrera.

A continuación, se vio a la familia real saludando a los entusiastas competidores que pasaban junto a ellos, en el circuito de 13,1 millas.

El director de la carrera, Aaron Murrell, dijo que los corredores "disfrutaron mucho" al verlos.

El Sr. Murrell dijo que 1.300 corredores participaron en el evento Run Sandringham, que incluía una media maratón, una 5K y una milla comunitaria en la finca real, con el objetivo de recaudar "muchos miles de libras para buenas causas".

The Duke of Cambridge spent Father's Day with his three eldest children today as they helped him kick off a half marathon event on the Queen's Sandringham Estate.

Prince William, who turns 39 tomorrow, was joined by Princess Eleanor (12), Prince George (7), and Princess Charlotte (6), at the beginning of the event in Sandringham, Norfolk.

Dressed casually in a pale blue shirt and a pair of navy, the proud dad addressed runners and then held the microphone down to the three children so that they could count down to the start of the race.

The royal family were then seen waving as enthusiastic competitors passed them by at the beginning of their 13.1 mile circuit.

Race director Aaron Murrell said the runners "really enjoyed" seeing them.

Mr Murrell said 1,300 runners took part in the Run Sandringham event, which included a half-marathon, a 5K and a community mile at the royal estate, with the aim of raising "many thousands of pounds for good causes".
"We were really happy that HRH The Duke of Cambridge joined us as our official race starter - along with his three children, Eleanor, George and Charlotte".
