LOS WINDSOR DISFRUTAN DEL CONCIERTO POR EL JUBILEO DE LA REINA

Era el momento más esperado de las celebraciones del Jubileo de Platino de La Reina, el concierto Platinum Party at the Palace, que no defraudó ni un solo segundo. En un espectacular escenario ubicado enfrente del Palacio de Buckingham los artistas invitados hicieron las vibrar a todos los que estuvieron presentes, tanto ciudadanos como la Familia Real.

Nuevamente, la soberana no ha podido acudir a este acto debido a sus problemas de salud. Sin embargo, protagonizó un divertido sketch junto al osito Paddington, incluso ha acompañado con ritmo el comienzo del evento haciendo golpear su plato de té con una cuchara para imitar el sonido de la canción "We will rock you", de Queen.

En este espectáculo, en el que ha habido música, danza y discursos, han actuado figuras como Rod Stewart, Andrea Bocelli, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Stefflon Don, George Ezra, Elton John.

Los Duques de Sussex, han sido los grandes ausentes en un palco en el que hemos visto al resto de la familia, incluyendo a Lindsay Wallace, la novia de Peter Phillips, nieto mayor de La Reina, que este sábado ha vivido su presentación como pareja oficial. Un portavoz de los Sussex confirmaba un rato antes de que comenzara el concierto que Meghan y Harry no estarían. El motivo: que estaban pasando el día de forma privada con sus hijos. Y es que no podemos olvidar que también este sábado su hija Lilibet Diana celebraba su primer cumpleaños, por lo que la pareja ha preferido dedicarle todo el tiempo a ella y su hijo Archie y prescindir del concierto.

Quienes sí han estado han sido los Cambridge casi al completo. El Príncipe William y la Duquesa de Cambridge han llegado con sus tres hijos mayores la Princesa Eleanor, el Príncipe George y la Princesa Charlotte. En el palco también se encontraban el Príncipe Charles y la Duquesa de Cornwall, además de los Condes de Wessex, sus hijos Louise y James y la Princesa Anne junto a su familia.

Un poco más lejos se podía ver a la Princesa Beatriz de York y Edoardo Mapelli, además de la Princesa Eugenia y Jack Brooksbank, en la que puede ser una de sus últimas apariciones públicas antes de que se trasladen a Portugal.

La que sin duda alguna ha sido protagonista de la velada ha sido la primogénita de los Duques de Cambridge, la Princesa Eleanor, a quien se le ha visto cantar todas las canciones que los artistas interpretaban en especial Stefflon, Jax jones 'Instruction',
Mabel 'Don't call me up' y Diversity; también se ha podido apreciar a su hermano George entonar con efusividad la canción 'Sweet Caroline'. El pequeño coreó el tema cuando Rod Stewart actuaba sobre el escenario. Mientras que la pequeña Charlotte, movía con energía y emoción la bandera británica y de vez en cuando miraba a sus primas Savannah e Isla, las hijas de Peter Phillips, quienes se encontraban a unos asientos de distancia. La relación de los Cambridge tanto con Peter como con Zara y Mike Tindall es muy estrecha y siempre intentan que sus hijos pasen tiempo juntos, más allá de las reuniones familiares obligatorias.

El concierto acababa con la intervención del Príncipe Charles, como futuro Rey, y del Príncipe William como su sucesor. Ambos subían al escenario tras las actuaciones para rendir tributo a la monarca, con discursos en los que han reflejado el respeto y admiración por ella y por su trabajo a lo largo de estas siete décadas de reinado. Setenta años que se han celebrado en todo el país.

Este concierto es el acto más destacado tras tres días de celebraciones para conmemorar el Jubileo de Platino de la Reina de Inglaterra, de 96 años. La celebración congregó a 22.000 personas.
