Gordon was still with Barbara in her hospital room Barbra had to her father any convincing story of what happened

Gordon: Are you sure you don't know who it was pumpkin?

Barbra: No. Like I said dad he was wearing a mask. I don't know what he looked like anything.

Gordon: Dammit it well whoever it was I'll get him. I'll make him suffer for this.

Barbra: Dad you need to think about your retirement.

Gordon: Not after this. I don't care if it kills me I'm gonna find the bastard that did this to you and I will make him pay.

Barbra worried deeply for her father now he was cancelling his retirement to get revenge for her daughter's condition

Barbara was about to protest till...

....the door opens again they turned around....

....it was Tim Drake with flowers

Barbara: Tim?

Tim: Sorry for the interruption but...I just heard what happened and....I had to come.

Barbara: That's very thoughtful.

Gordon: And you are?

Barbara: Oh dad it's ok. This is Tim Drake he's a friend from college. Tim this is my father James Gordon the Police commissioner.

Tim: Commissioner.

Gordon: Pleasure. Drake huh? You wouldn't happen to be Jack Drake's son would you?

Tim: Unfortunately yes. And I understand why you had to arrest him. But I mean your daughter no harm.

Gordon: That's very mature of you son. I'm sorry I had to take him but hope the best for you.

Tim: Thanks.

Gordon noticed his flowers

Gordon: I...see you... brought flowers for my daughter.

Tim: They're just...get well flowers. I mean them for...

Gordon and Barbara chuckles

Gordon: It... means a lot you care.

Barbra smiles

Barbra: Dad is it ok if...I have a few minutes with Tim?

Gordon: Just as long as there's no misbehaving.

Barbra: Dad.

Gordon chuckles embarrassing his daughter as he walked out making a call to Bullock

Tim sits next to Barbara's bed

Tim: Sorry this happened Babs.

Barbara: Yeah me too. What's broken more than my spine is my pride.

Tim: You're just lucky to be alive.

Barbara: Says my dad.

Tim: Listen I...I never got a chance to thank you for.... putting me up to Bruce Wayne. It's amazing you and your dad know the most famous bachelor in Gotham.

Barbra: Well I only know him mostly from my boy---

Barbara just remembered her and Dick broke up

Tim: Boyfriend?

Barbra: More like ex.

Tim's eyes widen

Barbara: We just broke up earlier.

Tim's eyes widen surprised and sympathized

Tim: Oh...I... I'm so sorry to hear that. If you don't mind me asking asking...what happened?

Barbra: It's complicated.

Tim nods understanding and Barbara reached for his hand gripping it

Barbara: I am glad you're here.

Tim grins

Tim: Me too.

At the Diamond District s limbo pulled  up to a nightclub owned by John Dagget and in it was Dagget and Kane who was on the phone with Zatanna

Kane: Yes I'm sorry Zatanna. I just my business else where. But I'll be in time tomorrow for the show. Yes I know rehearsals tonight but you have everything you need. I have to go.

Kane practically hung up on her

Dagget: That magician girl seems to be on you like a stray dog.

Kane: Zatanna is just one of a kind.

Soon as the driver opened the door for them and they step out to enter the club

But from above....

....a shadow of a bat watched them from the roof of the building across from them

Batman stalked Dagget all the way here and only caught sight of Kane with Kane just now

Batman: Alfred. Seems Dagget has a plus one. I don't recognize him but I'm sending a visual to ID him.

*It's on screen sir and here we are. He's known to be Montague Kane. He's a former business dealer but rumored to be in with the mob and oh...this is interesting.*

Batman: What is?

*He's the theater manager of Ms. Zatanna. I hate to think what danger she might be in with him.*

Batman: I don't think Zatanna is a target. Least not yet. But best to be sure.

*Agreed.*

Soon as he cuts off from Alfred Bruce heard a cat's meow

He turns around

It's Selina's cat Ms. Kitty purring 

And then he looks up to his surprise

Catwoman was sitting on top of the water tower

Catwoman: I think Ms. Kitty missed you since you gave her to Babs. Just got her back from there.

Batman could not believe it his ex was back on the prowl

Batman: Selina.

Catwoman: Surprised?

Batman: More like disappointed. You know this is a violation to your parole. Now they'll put away for life.

Catwoman: Only if they catch me.

Selina drops down and lands on her feet

Batman: You know I'll have to bring you in again.

Catwoman: You might change your mind...if I tell you I'm here to help you this time.

Batman: What'd you mean?

Catwoman: I don't like like playing the hero no. But I don't like playing the villain. It's in-between for me. I don't like taking sides either but yours is better than theirs. Plus when I heard about Chip I couldn't just not put this mask back on...even if it makes me a fugitive again.

Batman: You should pick a side Selina. Your skills can help people too.

Catwoman: I help no one but myself. But tonight I'm helping you....given you don't have a boy wonder by your side. I know he quit cause of me... which is I thought I should make it up to you.

Batman: Then they're maybe hope for you yet.

Catwoman: By the way....I heard about Barbra. I'm sorry.

Batman: She was almost killed by someone who calls himself the Scarecrow.

Catwoman: And is he the one who killed Shrek?

Batman: No doubt. I got a lead Dagget might know where he is. The man with him....is tied with him....a friend.

Selina's curiosity sets in and and slowly approaches him closely

Catwoman: Is this friend anyone I know?

Batman: No.

Catwoman: But what's his name?

Batman: It's....a she.

Catwoman: And....she sounds lovely.

Batman: Never mind that. If you want to help you'll have to fallow my lead. And NO stealing.

Catwoman smirks and nods

Catwoman: Girl scouts honor

Batman takes his grapple

And then shoots he attaches it on a rail above him and glide slides on it like he did in Returns across the other building

Catwoman tisks with Ms Kitty meowing

Catwoman: I know right Ms. Kitty? Like I'm a scout.

Catwoman whips her away across to the building after Batman

(Can Catwoman really be trusted this time? After this a life sentence will await get either way.....)
