Meanwhile at Wayne Manor 

Selina had arrived minutes ago surprised Bruce answered his own door forgetting he told her Alfred left and he had to make dinner

Bruce and Selina sat in the living room with the giant fireplace place like they were in Returns

Selina: I see you put a lot of work into this....while living alone in this big mansion you had to.

Bruce: Look Selina let's just talk about how you can start fresh. If you work with me at Wayne Enterprises I can put in a good word for you. 

Selina: Say I say yes.....but judge bitch says many want me put away for good. Won't your employees hate me? And hate you for hiring me? 

Bruce: It won't be up to them. In time you'll grow on them.

Selina: Doubt it. 

Bruce: Selina. 

Selina: Bruce look I really appreciate what you're trying to do for me. But no one is gonna like me immediately and you can't blame them.

Bruce: I can't but if you pay off your paroll....you can win their trust.

Selina: And what about your sidekick? He made it clear he hated me during Bane and Freeze. 

Bruce: Dick is young. That's why he doesn't understand. 

Selina: And I hear he's leaving the nest soon.

Bruce and Selina continue talking until....

....a bright light shined through the window on them they look out to see the Batsignal shinning 

Selina smirked 

Selina: Duty calls?

Bruce: Stay here. Keep your hands to yourself. 

Selina grins and Bruce heads for the study opening the grandfather clock entrance to the Batcave leaving Selina alone in the manor

As Bruce enters the batcave the Danny Elfman Batman theme sets in with the vault holding the bat suit opening

As the music grows Dick and Barbra were at the movies when their watches buzzed they look at them the Bat symbol appears on their screens

Dick: Dammit. 

Barbra: Come on.

Dick was dissatisfied as he and Barbra left the theater in a hurry

Outside they come towards Barbra's motorcycle Barbra too now has a given to her by Bruce and she speaks on it

Barbra: Deactivate stealth.

Barbra's bike opens into Batgirl's Batcycle

Barbra unlocks the trunk of the batcycle holding both the Batgirl suit

And the Robin suit 

And they soon  suit up as does Bruce at the Batcave 

As the music dwells Batman appears for the first time on screen ready for action 

On the roof of the GCPD building where the Batsignal shines 

A figure stands in front of it as Batman appears from the shadows behind the person 

Batman: Jim?

To Batman's surprise the figure wasn't the Commissioner 

It was Mayor Hamilton Hill 

Hill: Not exactly. But glad you're not a hard a man to reach.

Batman: Mayor Hill. 

Hill: So you heard of me too. Good. Then I trust you also know ever since I took office I been plying on Gordon to arrest you. Now that he's retiring I'll make sure the next Commissioner does. Gordon hasn't gone public with it but since you two are close you probably should know. 

Batman was surprised sadden but trust Gordon had his reasons as he glares at Hill in the face

Batman: And here you are.

Hill: Gordon's already on the scene but he's been trying to keep me in the dark with you since I became Mayor. But as said I'll make sure his replacement arrests you. But since you're here now.....straight to the point. Gordon's at Pauline's diner. They didn't tell me what happened but I'm sure you'll know once you get there.

Batman: As our new Mayor you don't seem to have much eyes and ears om the city yet do you?

Hill didn't like the way he could tell Batman was firing back at him with a mock

Hill: Don't get cute. Not only will I make sure you're arrested but I'm gonna pull that mask right off your face. And I'll show the whole world who you are under there. You got me? A storm is coming for you. Your crusade is finished. This is MY city now. NOT yours.

Batman stares at him with fire in his eyes 

Hill didn't need to threatened him like that but Batman turns away leaping off the building 

Hill not taking kindly to that grabbed the plug of the Batsignal and pulls it off aggressively shutting the signal down

(Seems Gotham's new Mayor isn't the biggest fan of Batman. A new case opens in the next chapter.......)
