Everyone was already in place in the market from where Victor sold his harvest , Victor had hired a bus strictly for the five of them with their belongings , having seen them around , Victor asked if anyone was missing ,  confirming that everyone was around , they began entering the bus one by one with their belongings inside their bags , just after they've settled inside the bus , he asked the bus driver to start the bus to La Calera in the north of Bogota , from a tarmac main road on to a dirt road leading them La Calera , they found traditional style restaurants, the landscape that was vast different from the city buildings as the bus moved on, Victor kept on entertaining his guests by dancing for them , cracking jokes on their way.

Later on they arrived to an army green gate that lead them through a small gravel road before reaching to a main house  viewed from a distance and when they got to the house , Victor got out first .

"Home sweet home," he sighed from that long trip they've just had.

"Is this your farm house Victor ?" Natalia stepped out of the bus second .

"It's not like one of those in the city , but believe me guys , you're going to have fun here ."

"It doesn't look like yours Victor , it's too luxurious , well tiled and a green compound , trees all over , I can see a swimming pool at the backyard , I don't think anyone of us expected this Victor ."

"It makes me miss the jungle here ." Fiona forgot herself and came up with an absurd comment .

"What's that Fiona ?" Natalia looked confused . " Have you ever lived in the jungle ?, girl tell me about it, it could be an interesting story ." She got a bit more curious about Fiona's missing the Jungle .

"I hope you guys brought with you your swimming costumes." Victor changed the subject since it meant absolutely nothing , he wanted to be the center of the attention around the ranch .

"I did but I don't know about Huria and Fiona ." Natalia replied

"We did." Huria immediately replied upon seeing Fiona getting silent about the issue of swimming costumes .

Hurianah never wanted Fiona to feel embarrassed anymore about the scars on her back , earlier before getting on a bus at Victor's store in the market , Hurianah had called Fiona to come over at her house to help her pack her clothes for the trip , when she came , Huria asked her whether she had a swimming costume , she asked because Victor had earlier told her that there would be a swimming pool for them to freshen up , Fiona  had no swimming costume and had never wore one before, Huria understood her and asked her to try out from a few of hers since she had more than one of them , Fiona went to Huria's Bedroom to find out what fitted her , as she was trying out them , Huria pushed the door open without knocking since it was her room , she was shocked when saw scars on her back, asked her about the scars , Fiona lied on how she got the scars , her scars  reminded her  how she was whipped by the commander just like the rest other guerrillas who disobeyed one of his orders as one of his way of punishing them .

Fiona told Huria that she fell down from the stairs back then when she was a child and that she spent several months in an hospital for that , Huria felt sorry for her and asked her to put on a costumes that wouldn't show the scars , Fiona appreciated her help .

"What do you mean by we did?" Natalia asked.

"We did , I mean Fiona and I have our costumes inside my bag , do you have any problem with that ?" Huria came closer to her and glared at her .

"Easy girl," she took a few steps backward . " I didn't know you've become this best of friends with that short slut."

"Okay guys , can we all go and change." it was  Victor's responsibility to  cool down the upcoming heat among the girls. "We're going for swimming now , I will be the one serving you whatever you want , you're all my guests ."

At the swimming pool , everyone seemed to be having a good time , Victor was doing what he'd promised , serving everyone ,everything , every eats they wanted , Santiago couldn't help it getting more and more closer to Fiona since she looked spectacular in her swimming costume though it didn't reveal most of her body , Natalia whose swimming costume reveal most of her body and Huria for whom that was upsetting kept on fighting with her on who was to be with Victor inside and outside the swimming pool , Huria didn't like the fact that a girl as shameless as Natalia , with her discomforting swimming costume was all over a guy who had asked her to be the mother of his future children , for Victor, he seemed fascinated with her body and whenever she asked for drinks from him , he immediately rushed back to the kitchen to get her what she wanted .

Victor went back to the kitchen and this time around came back with barbecue for everyone and a drink specifically for Natalia , and urged them to talk about something to keep this more fun.

"Let Natalia tell us about whom she leaves her daughter with at her house before getting to the university ." Huria found something to get back at Natalia for her improper behavior with Victor .

"Victor !, did you tell this slut about my life? I thought I could trust you !" Natalia felt like pulling out Victor's tongue from his mouth .

"What if he did , after all am the mother of his future children." Huria could let Victor say a word .

"Let me make this clear to you the so called Dean's daughter , I don't care about what promises you share with Victor , as far as I know , you two are not yet married , so you can't have him yet and remember this , my life is my business , you should stay out of it ."

"How about talking about the scholarship guys?" Fiona noticed an unnecessary fight that was about to break up , for her part, she was getting more curious about the results from the exams as the two kept bickering about who to hang around with Victor .

"We said we're not going to talk about exams or anything related to our studies when we 're here remember," Natalia reminded her what they'd agreed on when still on a bus on there way to La Calera. "I don't know whether you have a memory loss as a deficiency as well , we're only here to have fun ."

"I think there is no harm in talking about our results from the exams , by now am sure the results are out and Fiona , don't worry , just load credit on your phone ,visit our university's website and search for the results , everything will be right in your face ." Santiago turned out to be more helpful.

"Thank you Santiago , by the way guys before we can find out on our results , I wanted to tell you something I found out before we went in for the exams , I met a student outside the university classes at the cafeteria , this student was talking in codes with the cafeteria attendant , then in seconds , he handed him a piece of paper , I can not be sure what it was but later I saw that very student was talking with professor Ignasia in similar codes , this made me confused , but according to my suspicions, answers are sold to students from the cafeteria and I think a professor is behind all this ."

"That's a serious accusation Fiona , it's very bad for someone to buy exams ."

"I know that Huria but I can not be sure whether it is exactly what was going on ."

"What if it's true ?" Santiago asked.

"Come on guys , let's not make a fuss about that , someone who does this is actually a very smart person and I'd applaud such a person ." Natalia looked startled but had to prove to the rest that it's all okay .

"That's not something cool Natalia , I think my father should know about this , if a professor is involved, that professor should be fired and every student who is involved and the attendant working at the cafeteria should be banned from the university premises ."

"You don't have any proof Huria , those are just Fiona's speculations , so do your father a favor and don't disturb him with your nonsense ." Natalia sounded more defensive about the matter .

"It's sad that we work hard but someone out there is planning to cheat , it's really not fair guys ." Fiona seemed really disappointed with this .

Victor asked them to forget about the exams and blamed Fiona for bringing the issue of exams when having fun , he assured them that whoever cheated might fail, all they should do is to continue enjoying the moment they've got at his ranch .

That evening was well spent when they all decided not to talk about exams and next morning before anyone could get out of the house , Santiago got up and walked around outside the house , he found Natalia all alone  by the poolside and walked towards her .

"It was you," he spoke up, standing next to her  .

"It was me what ?" She turned around only to see Santiago coming closer to her .

"I'm talking about one of the students who buys exams and answers from the cafe ."

"What are you talking about ?" She asked . " You shouldn't let Fiona 's imaginations affect you , I think what you feel for her is starting to make you a weirdo just like her ."

"I find it strange , you came out after the exam smiling from one ear to another just like someone having passed with the highest grades , but as far as I remember , that morning you whole looked sleepy and messy , you never had enough sleep , you must have spent that night in a club, didn't you ?"

"So what if I did?, so what if I didn't read? , it's none of your business ."

"I know you Natalia very well , sometimes wonder why you're even doing this course , you don't seem interested , it's like becoming a doctor , isn't something for you ."

"All right I did it," she admitted . " I bought the exams , so what? Are you going to turn me in ?"

"I knew it but why ? And when did you get this crazy idea ?"

"From the day I found out that once you get the scholarship, all your money you payed when applying is returned, I got so desperate , i had to do whatever it takes to get that scholarship."

"I hope you get what you want , but know this , am not going to be a part of this , that means I won't be the one telling on you , fate will find you or maybe you could fail to get that so called scholarship." Santiago walked away and went back inside the house and as he was getting inside, Fiona came out to the lounge room holding her cellphone in space , Santiago asked her what she was doing , told him that she was looking for a signal , wanted to make a call to her mother , probably find out for her about her results from the notice board at the university , Santiago urged her not to worry , he had something for her .

"You have something for me ?" She asked.

"Sure I do have something for you and you're going to love it ," he reach out for his bag that was on a couch and got out a box wrapped with a glittering polythene .

"Sorry Santiago , I don't think I need anything from you ."

"Come on Fiona , take it," he handed the box to her and Fiona started unwrapping it , found out that it was a brand new tablet .

"What is this for ?" She asked .

"It's already connected to the internet , you can find out about your results from that , i think it will be of great help on your future research , please accept it ."

"Is this another bet between you and Natalia ?"

"Natalia doesn't even know about this, trust me on that , am trying to be a better person from now for you and am seeking for your forgiveness so please accept it ."

"Okay , I will accept it and thank you , you're right , this is going to be of great help to me , thank you again ."

"I'm glad I can be of help ."
