Conversation with my better half

"Maybe things have to fall apart before they can come together."

"Yeah."

"I mean it."

"Uh huh."

"Quit being all moody."

"I'm not. i'm fine, you're fine everyone is fine."

"Do you believe that?"

"Not right now but I mean I can't speed up the healing process, I can't fix it either it's too late. I didn't get to apologize either. But things happen that's life."

"Mhm."

"I'm just saying like you know, one less person to worry about me, I'm not his problem anymore, I was holding him back from his full potential and now we can all move on with our lives."

"Shut up, that's really dumb. You're undeniably stubborn and you just did what you did to prove that you're not."

"That's not true."

"It really is."

"And so what if it is? It's what's best."

"How would YOU know what's best?"

"Leave me alone."

"No."

"Uhh yeah."

"I bet everyone's annoyed at how stubborn you are."

"Yeah I know."

"You're only hurting yourself. You know the amount of regret you're gonna have?"

"Already have it."

"You're honestly so horrible, that's why no one puts up with you."

"Yeah I'm aware."

"Your dad raised you to push yourself away from this stuff, and to push others away from you."

"..."

"I'm sorry, I'm just saying. You're not the things that your dad says about you, you don't have to be who he wants you to be. You're caring, that's not a bad thing."

"Yeah, yeah I know.."

"Do you?"

"Too many questions from you, I have to go, talk to you soon?"

"Of course, call anytime."
