This is a request! Only the soulmate AU was the request though~

It was a hot summer night on the outskirts of Tokyo. Heat lighting was flashing through the midnight sky, scaring everyone inside. The street lamps glow lit up the sidewalk, leaving the alleyways in complete darkness. Children were always told to say away from these alleyways, the adults knew of the threats they caused even in daylight.

But tonight, the alleyways had found their prey. Lined with dumpsters and worn paper posters, only the lighting was showing its path.

"Who are you!" Todoroki shouts, shooting ice at the person who is slow approaching him. "What do you want with me!" 

The person tilts his head to the side, "yes, what do I want with you? And just who am I?"

Todoroki's panicked face turns to rage, "what is it?!" He stops moving, "are you here to kill me or something?!"

"Actually," the man laughs, "I am." He lunges forward and causes Todoroki to launch ice at him, trying to get some distance away from him.

The man jumps over it effortlessly. He laughs, "you're gonna have to try harder than that if you want to kill me."

"I'm not gonna kill you," spat Todoroki.

"Oh? That's a poor decision." The man smiles, "you see, if you aren't gonna try and kill me..." He threw a knife, it scraps Todoroki's cheek. "Then you really are gonna die." He chuckles, "but let's have some fun first."

"You're a monster!" A now panicking Todoroki shouts.

"Maybe I am. Too bad you'll never find out."

Lighting flashed, showing off the many dumpsters standing in the mans way, but Todoroki's attention was solely on the figure in front of him. He walked backed into the dumpster, not having a quick enough reaction time to move when he saw the figure pin him down by his shirt collar.

"Well, that wasn't very fun. I was expecting more from you."

Heat lighting flashed again, revealing only the man's eyes and his prey's. 

They both felt a burn on the stomach. "What the hell!?" Grunted the man, letting go off Todoroki and clutches his stomach. Todoroki copied his actions, "what did you to me!"

"Me?" The man says in an extremely surprised tone. "What did you do to me?" Then he made the connection, "oh." He took a few steps back, turning around to see lighting flashing the scene in front of him before disappearing into the darkness.

Leaving an extremely confused Todoroki to finally walk out of the alleyway, but only after he inspects the area. No one was around, he goes over to one of the street lamps and checks his stomach. 

He finds a brand new scar in the shape of a deep slash mark. One that can only be made with a knife or something equal in style. "Where's the blood?" Mumbles the confused middle schooler, slowly touching the new scar. "Did he burn this onto me without me?"

Then it hit him, "oh? Oh. Oh!"

Todoroki never did learn his lesson about not going into the alleyways, even though he's a high schooler now. But that doesn't really matter today.

"Alright everyone!" Shouts Mr. Aizawa, gaining most of class-A's attention. "Shut up!" He yells and now has everyone's attention. "Today we will be doing mock battles." The class groans, "I know you're all very excited. First up is (Y/n) and Todoroki."

The two boys stepped forward. "You should all know the rules by now, but I'll tell you just in case. All you have to do is knock your appoint unconscious, out of the ring or pin them down for five seconds."

Once the boys were in the ring, "ready....go!"

Todoroki shot first, trying to capture (Y/n) in a cage of ice. He glares at him when he fails to do so.  

"You should know by now that doesn't work on me." Smiles (Y/n). "You and I are always paired up to do mock battles after all."

"Shut up!" The somewhat flustered boy shouts, sending fire his way. 

(Y/n)'s reflexes were always quicker than Todoroki's, he did a jump in the air followed back a back flip to dodge. When he landed, his shirt flew up a little, reveling a scar in the shape of a knife cut.

This caught Todoroki by surprise, giving (Y/n) enough to lunge forward and tackle him to the ground. The class shouts the count down, "5!"

Todoroki looks into (Y/n)'s eye for the first time this close up.

"4!"

He never saw (Y/n)'s face that night, only his eyes.

"3!"

His voice has changed a lot over the passed year. If it wasn't for that scar, he would have never known...

"2!"

That his soulmate was someone who was trying to kill him while he was a middle schooler.

"1!"

"The winner is (Y/n)." Mr. Aizawa says with literally no enthusiasm as the class cheered.

(Y/n) lets go of his soulmate, offering his hand. Todoroki takes it, pulling himself up and letting go in an instate.

"Okay you guys are done for the day. Go get changed." Mr. Aizawa says, "next up is Ashido and Kaminari."

In the UA's boy locker room, "so you're the one who attacked me, huh?" Todoroki asks.

(Y/n) chuckles, throwing his gym clothes in his bag. "You sure are blunt, huh?"

"Why were you trying to kill me? And why aren't you attacking me now?" He questions his former attacker.

(Y/n) looks around, "let's talk somewhere else."

(Y/n) opens the door to the roof, checking the area for camera's. He doesn't see any and proceeds walking to the middle, Todoroki following him at a distance.

"So I guess I should start off with saying that I didn't want to kill you." (Y/n) says.

"What?" Todoroki's glare intensifies, "the why did you-"

"I was hired." Todoroki stops mid sentence, eyes widening. "Well, kind of. My father was hired but was taken into custody. The person who hired him was gonna kill my family if quote 'a child of Endeavor isn't dead by tomorrow' end quote."

"So..." Todoroki's brain was still trying to process the information. Giving (Y/n) time to continue his side of the story.

"My mother begged and begged but the person to reconsider but was only met with bruises. She cried and cried, not wanting my siblings and I to die because of the stupid job my father took. I am the oldest, so I made the decision to finish the job.

"I tried to get into the mindset of a killer, but I've never met one in person of course. And, well, the anime I watched sure did help. But then, when we locked eyes and got this scar." He pulls up his shirt to reveal his soulmates mark, "I knew that I couldn't kill you. Or anyone in your family.

"I found out later that night when I returned home that the person was taken into custody thanks to All Might. That person wanted to get back at Endeavor for capturing their husband. And they knew few could take him on, so they wanted to kill one of his children instead."

They stared at each other for a moment, "I'm sorry."

Todoroki shook his head, "don't get me wrong, I'm still mad at you for what you did...but..."

"But you like me, right?" (Y/n) smiles.

"Uh...yeah...we are soulmates after all." He sighs, "I'm sorry that you had to make that choice. What you did was a brave and very stupid decision."

(Y/n) ran up to his soulmate, engulfing him in a hug. "Does this mean you forgive me?"

Todoroki chuckles, hugging him back. "I forgave you the moment we locked eyes."

Can you tell I did this in one sitting cause I sure can! I love it when I'm the middle of writing a request and then another idea, for another one shot, hits me. 

The vibe for this, you ask? Emo angst and then emo love songs. Aka, Vflower from Vocaloid.

Anyway- I hope you guys liked this! I am trying to add more details when I am writing so this is practice for me!
